Preparation

3 Days had passed, and it was Sunday Evening. The current time was the day after Old Man Ying gave him the Lil' Loach Pendant. Mo Fan was standing in a clearing in the forest near Bo City, knowing that he had to do something to prepare for the Calamity of Bo City, or even the Cultivation World in general. He needed powerful equipment to overcome his temporary weakness in cultivation.

'Okay, so first order of business is meditating and tracing copies of whatever Noble Phantasms that I can remember. I love my near-photographic memory. I know a lot of Noble Phantasms, and could easily imagine more through visualization. Maybe I should use Divine Authorities from Campione as Noble Phantasms? Decisions, Decisions...' Mo Fan thought with an eerie grin. He began tracing immediately to check his theory.

'Judging the Concept of Creation; A shot which never misses. Hypothesizing the Basic Structure; An enchanted compound bow which has infinite arrows. Duplicating the Composition Material; Unbreakable Aluminum, Unbreakable Linen Thread, and Unbreakable Synthetic Leather. Imitating the Skill of its Making; Made by a God of Smithing and blessed by a God of Archery. Sympathizing with the Experience of its Growth; It wasn't ever used. Reproducing all Accumulated Years; It did not age due to being preserved in a pocket dimension. Excelling all Manufacturing Processes.'

Mo Fan concentrated again and accessed his Inner World. To his pleasure, there was the bow which he had just traced within his mind. It was a stunning black bow which had purple streaks running throughout like bolts of lightning. It was a compound bow, like he had intended. It had all the features he wanted: a leather handle, linen thread, and an aluminum body. Along with that, it was unbreakable and had the ability to hit whatever he aimed for no matter what.

He concentrated on that bow and withdrew it from his Inner World, causing it to appear within his hands in a burst of purple energy. Mo Fan pulled back the string and grinned in satisfaction when he saw an arrow of energy appear in his hand. No matter how badly he aimed it, the arrow would always hit his target, meaning that he didn't even have to learn Archery to attack from further range than Magic could target.

He then put the bow back inside his Inventory and traced another piece of equipment from imagination, this one embodying Godou's Authority, the Raptor. However, he didn't want the restriction; so he tried to get rid of it. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to do that, so he was able to lower it to make it so that when he was attacked by anything that moved, he was able to use the full power of the Raptor Authority without straining his heart and body.

'Judging the concept of creation; A Burst of God-Like Speed. Hypothesizing the Basic Structure; A pair of leather boots with feather-like decorations. Duplicating the Composition Material; Peregrine Falcon Feathers, Enchanted Rubber, Enchanted Leather, Enchanted Paracord. Imitating the Skill of its Making; Crafted by a God. Sympathizing with the Experience of its Growth; It was used to rescue the seventh king many times in metaphysical form. Reproducing all Accumulated Years; Used for 350 Years, yet feels as new as the first time. Excelling all Manufacturing Processes.'

A pair of black leather boots with intricate paracord lacing and feather-like decorations on the sides appeared in his Inner Dimension. Overjoyed at his success, Mo Fan began making more and more things. After creating 666 items, his mind got tired and he decided to go to sleep on the hill. That was when reality itself shifted and a hole opened because of the Lil' Loach Pendant.

Mo Fan's soul was extracted and was transferred into a replica of his body. He wasn't aware of his surroundings and kept on sleeping, seeing as he was in his Inner World, where sensations were dulled. He was currently cultivating inside of his Inner World, where he created a replica of the Three Step Pagoda which the Pearl Institute was so proud of.

Sure, the effects were 10% weaker, but he was still able to cultivate at a faster speed, which was a lot more than other people could do. Sure, it was currently split between two elements, but seeing as he was already on the Fifth Star of the Seven Stardust Star Path, he was fairly confident that he'd reach Level 3 Ignite: Flame Burst, and Level 3 Thunder Seal: Raging Strike by the End of the Year.

This essentially meant that in 3 years, by the time the Catastrophe of Bo City occurs, he would be around Level 3 Mid-Tier, or even Half-Step Advance Rank. That meant that the Tyrant Bone-Piercing Wolves would not be a problem to deal with, and the Black-Raised Monsters would be easy as hell to destroy, seeing as they were High-Servant Class Monsters.

Mo Fan smiled viciously in his sleep. 'That thrice-damned fucker Yu Ang will get what is coming to him' he thought absent-mindedly while cultivating in his inner world.

-Time Skip: 3 Hours-

3 Hours had passed while Mo Fan was cultivating and he woke up from his sleep. "Huh, so it really did happen, eh?" he muttered to himself before he shook his head. He stared down at the Lil' Loach Pendant with his excitement clear in his eyes. He then went back home to where thiss world's Mo Fan's home was. Thankfully, the location was still the same, so he didn't need to worry about that.

He immediately sat down on the desk and flipped open the Magic Textbook which he saw on the desk. He already knew about the formation of Star Paths, Star Maps, Constellations, Star Palaces, and Star Manifestations; thus 1/3rd of the Material for Magic Exams was already known to him. He just needed to learn about which spells were what tier of which element, and thus, it was all a matter of memorization; And memorization was one of his strengths due to his Near-Photographic Memory.

-Timeskip: 3 Weeks-

3 Weeks passed, Mo Fan had memorized 5/6th of the Material for Magic Exams. He couldn't memorize 1/6th Portion of the Exam Syllabus due to there not being enough time to memorize exactly what type of Demon Beasts were of what category, but he knew about the most common ones anyway, so he had actually memorized 6/7th of the Syllabus due to it being almost the full syllabus, but not quite.

He was sitting beside Zhang Xiaohou, his self-proclaimed sworn younger brother. Both had pencils in hand and erasers sitting right beside them on the desks. His pencil box was right in front of him and as the teacher declared the start of the exams, he immediately flipped over the question paper and began scanning the questions and answering them as fast as he could.

He smirked and wrote down, 'The Three Mid-Tier Lightning Magic Spells are Thunderbolt: Falling Strike, Thunderbolt: Yaksha, and Thunderbolt: Madness Dance. If someone manages to strengthen all of their 49 stars to the next level, then the Level 4 Thunderbolt is Thunderbolt: Lightning Disaster.' before moving on to the next question.

He boredly wrote down, 'One-Eyed Wolves, or One-Eyed Magic Wolves, are classified as Mid-Servant Class Monsters. They can evolve into Tyrant Bone-Piercing Wolves if they reach the Warrior Class, and Darkwing Wolves if the reach the General Class.' before moving on to the next question.

Like this, Mo Fan boredly answered all of the questions except for those with his elements, which he answered with a smirk. When he finally reached the section where obscure demon beasts came in, he had to rack his brain a bit, but was able to answer almost all of them, only leaving one question which was worth 2 marks out of 100.

"Teacher, I'm done." Mo Fan announced as he packed up his pencil and eraser in his pencil box and walked up to the desk to submit his exam paper. He then walked out of the classroom with his pencil box in his backpack. He then immediately scanned his surroundings for Mo Jiaxing, his father, and found him standing behind two lines of parents.

"Dad," Mo Fan called out as he walked towards his dad. "How did you do?" asked Mo Jiaxing with a smile, knowing that Mo Fan had studied very hard before the exam. "I think I did good, answered all questions except for one." Mo Fan replied before he hugged his dad. "I see, that's good.." Mo Jiaxing said with pride as they separated.

Mo Fan and Mo Jiaxing then climbed into Mo Jiaxing's truck and went to their home. Xinxia greeted them with a warm welcome and Mo Fan smiled back at her. "Big Brother Mo Fan, How did you do?" she asked softly. "Your brother, I, did amazing! I answered all the questions except one." Mo Fan replied boisterously. Xinxia giggled at her brother's antics and Mo Fan then went to his room to cultivate.

I thought that I was going to take a break after my exams, but I guess that couldn't just happen with my overactive brain, so I published this chapter too. It is 1507 words long, according to Webnovel.com, so I kept up with my promise; though I wonder how long it will last...
