CHAPTER 17 LEAVING THE OUTPOST.

'Gbam' the sound brought every one of of thier daze. Garen's fist smashed into the man's face and sent him sprawling away. The middle age man flipped backward and he fell down face first. The bandits including olauf looked wide opened. They all couldn't believe what is happening. How could a scrawny little kid actually send dusouf flying.

Everyone stood stunned for a minute. They couldn't comprehend what actually happened, they in unison wiped their face and looked closer maybe they made a mistake in the position, must be Garen being sent flying.

But reality proved them wrong. Dusouf try as he unsteadily got up. He swiped the blood on his face and looked at Garen angrily and soon his eyes turned upward and he fainted. The other bandits cried out as they rushed to catch dusouf from falling down.

"HOW DARE YOU." a voice, filled with rage rang out. The echo of the voice spread out wide and the wind seems to blow furiously due to the voice. A tall young man walked towards Garen step by step. His body seems to become increasingly bigger with every step hi takes an the pressure pressed down of Garen.

Perspiration filled his head as he struggled to raise his head. Garen quietly revolved his soul energy. The energy shot out furiously and clashed against the pressure the pressure was then slowly lifted away from his body by the energy and dissipate most of the pressure on him. Garen was ready to cast the only powerful spell he knew. He did not care if he will deal irreversible damage to the young man.

But before he could release the spell, olauf jumped to the young man's front and obstructed the young man. No matter what, the boss personally told him to keep the boy safe. Dusouf would have at most injured him, but he can't say the same for nien. The young man have a murderous look on his face. If he let him get the boy, it won't be something as simple as broken bones.

"olauf get out of the way. This bastard hurt dusouf, I must make him pay." the young man angrily said. He seems to regard olauf as a traitor to thier team due to him standing up for me.

Olauf smirked. He seem to have long disliked this arrogant young man. "young boss, your father made it clear, this boy is to go with us. As for dusouf he can only blame himself, after all he his the one who picked a fight he couldn't win." it turns out the young man is the boss son. He did seem to resemble the boss a bit. But even with his status in the settlement, olauf didn't give him a single bit of face. He ruthlessly turned him down.

The young man's faced flushed red in anger. Invisible steam blew out from his nose. He can be considered the a young king in this outpost, most would have given him face but olauf didn't seem to care a bit. Though angry, he knows he would'nt be able to defeat olauf nor convince him to not protect the kid.

He snorted and turned back into the group. The others threw an angry glance at olauf, they couldn't believe that he could actually stand for garen and go against the young boss.

Garen face was scrunched up in pain. Increasing the same attribute twice without rest increased the magnitude of the repercussion. The others looked at the boy who faces was all purple and kept his mouth shut from screaming in pain. They felt a bit better, he must have used everything he had in that punch and broken his bone or something. Though it still seem inconceivable to them, at least he was in pain, that soothed their broken pride.

"are you OK? " olauf asked offhandedly, his tone was filled with insincerity and he seem to can't wait to see the boy make a fool out of himself.

Garen looked at olauf, he could easily see the insincerity in the man's voice and turned him down. He could easily guess that he his keeping a grudge yet he still stood up for him. His relationship with the boss son must be very bad. The pain soon went away and Not caring about the murderous look the others were throwing at him, he walked towards a horse Anthe stable and got on top. The others mount thier steed and they all moved out. Dusouf had already woken up by that time and am the others kept a distance away from garen and olauf they wanted to extricate the two.

Though they had this idea, garen actually didn't care at all neither did olauf. Garen believe in just a few days, he will no longer have anything to do with the group again so he did not bother currying favour from them. As for olauf, he was a well known loner. He had always been a bit distant from the group so extricating him doesn't seem to affect him and he even seem to welcome.

They spurred thier horse forward and the carriages carrying the goods followed lastly. Soon left the settlement far away. Garen kept swinging his head around. Though only plains and mountains were sprawled out on the ground, he has someone who had spent the majority of his life in a lacklustre place welcomed the change. He seem to soak in the beauty of Mother Nature and took in everything he saw.

Night soon fell and the whole 32 members of the group came to a halt. While searching for a place to pass the night, by mistake, they saw a well hidden burning fire. (one of the member of the group saw the fire while he went to take a dump). The group sent out two people to go and see what it was and surprisingly they brought good news. A small merchant group.

The banditry in the blood surge outward and they can't seem to wait any longer, they were all proclaiming to go after the merchants and tear them up and steal their goods.

"how many guards are there?" apart from garen and olauf, it seems only the young boss was sober among all the others and have time to ask that important question.

"I counted 8. 2 of them seem to be martial artist. The rest were ordinary warriors. Though there might be more than that. The place was dark Andi couldn't get very near." one of the scout gave out his report and the other said something similar.

"good only eight, more so only 2 martial warriors. We have 5 martial warriors here so we can easily suppress them. Me, Turin and glovas, will lead 4 people each. The rest should stay and protect the goods." the young boss called up two other martial warriors of the group and they set out picking their team.

Olauf though being the leader of the team was excluded and no one asked of his opinion. The man himself seem to be ok with it and didn't bother them at all.

They soon pick their members and went towards the merchant camp site. After they left for some minutes, garen stood up and followed. He gave an excuse of taking a dump and sneaked after the group. This was a chance to gather soul, he wouldn't let it go to waste.
