CHAPTER 16 GOOD SHOW

Garen went full throttle and kept trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible. He turned into an human shaped sponge and soaked it all in. His master bahil or rather Draniel. Though he was still puzzled at why the oldman would hide his identity so much, he knows not to poke his nose where he shouldn't.

On the faithful day, one other strange thing happened. The boss who always lead the team suddenly decided to stay at the settlement, thereby giving full control of the team to olauf.

Olauf was neither happy nor sad. He kept his always expressionless face as it always have been.

"he, heard a kid is joining us on this. I just can't seem to understand why. If he his captured the way to the settlement will be easily gotten from him. This will spell our doom." one of the seasoned bandit couldn't help but voice out his disagreement at the boy joining. After all it was it a 14year old kid what does he know.

Another consented to his words and more joined in on thier conversation. They quickly spiralled into a large group against garen involvement in the group.

(olauf perspective)

Olauf watched garen as the little boy walked increasingly closer. When he reached a certain distance, he stopped seemingly to have heard about the discontent among the team. The boy shrugged it off as didn't seem to care about others opinion.

'I just can seem to understand' Olauf thought within himself. This boy walking confidently with grace doesn't seem to be the same kid who grovel at the chance to live. He couldn't understand how he changed so quickly or where he got his confidence from.

Even though the other members of the team were throwing threatening glance at him, the boy disregarded it all and didn't scare them a glance. He couldn't help but give it to the boy, he has one of a hell courage.

"BASTARD!! HOW DARE YOU LOOK DOWN ON US." an enraged voice rang out among the crowds. A slightly buff middle age man ran through the crowd and rushed at Garen. Olauf paused for a second. It was dusouf. Dusouf the most trustworthy among all their companions. He always looked after the group and would not allow anything to threaten the group or settlement.

He must have felt garen is a threat to them and that should be why he rushed at the boy. Though olauf thought, he would most likely only beat the kid and prevent him going along.

Olauf could have prevented dusouf from going after the boy, but deep down he felt embarrassed when the boy turned him down the other time and he wished for nothing more than to teach him a lesson. He could use others to fulfill his wish now. Since he will never admit he was embarrassed nor beat him u for no reason. Though it was not like it was the boy's fault, he didn't have anytime to think further only how to cleanse the embarrassment.

He stood arms crossed and found a comfortable posture and looked forward to what he thought would be an absolute beat down.

(garen's perspective)

As soon as he got to the stable, he could hear the bandits angry voice. Thier voice could be heard from a distance away as don't even seem to care abt him being here. They must be disconcerted at him joining them, not that he cared about how they feel. Notwithstanding, it feels seriously annoying when they kept on mentioning him and saying all sort of spiteful words at his face.

He made a quick sweep with his eye and caught sight of olauf who stood by the side arms crossed. The scar faced, gruff voice man watched on with an unconscious smile on his lips. He seem To be ready to watch a good show, and one he will give to him.

As he kept walking forward and disregard thier words, a loud shout filled with age as fury drew his eyes. A slightly buff middle age man ran towards him like those angry bulls in the book.

The man stomped hard and the ground and threw a punch at him. Garen's brain worked over time and he Bary calculated the trajectory of his punch. He sidestep as the wind brought by the punch blew his long hair upward.

Garen looked angrily at the assailant. His handsome face contorted due to anger. His eye brow were drawn together and he squinted his eye at the man. Garen would have definitely left him screaming for mercy if not for his master telling him to keep his sorcery Pratice as a secret. After all had he not increased his attributes days before, that punch would have left him in bed for weeks or worse maim him for life.

During the brief time everyone was shocked at him dodging the attack, he quickly brought up the system menu.

Not bothering to check anything else, garen pumped two stats to his strength attributes. Instantly, he ft a cramp on his muscles and unending pain shot through him. He channelled the pain and anger to his fist and threw it straight at the assailant face.

(Olauf perspective)

He was amazed seeing Garen dodging the punch. It wasn't that it was like the punch was something special or whatever, but In how precise garen's move was. The boy just took a single step and easily neutralised the danger. It was as if he calculated everything beforehand.

He clapped slightly even as the boy stood most likely dazed at the unexpected or maybe expected attack. As he was clapping, the boy did something he never thought could happen even in his wildest dream.
