Opening his eyes, Vernox saw himself in a dark space. Everywhere was black in his vision and the quietness of this place would probably freak a normal person. The extreme quietness of this place gave him creeps as he couldn't even hear a cricket.

[The Abyss-

An empty dimension void of life and energy. The dragon race once lived here a long time ago. But they ventured out of the dimension to explore.

Dragon kin Vernox was born with the dimensional seal in his soul which makes him the owner of the dimension now. ]

'Dimensional seal. Isn't that a legendary skill in the game'

That was all he could remember about the dimensional seals. In his past life as a gamer the seals were said to be extremely rare items that can't be gotten normally.

[The Abyss:- All stats have increased by 200%.

- Full control of this place.

- This dimension is in a loophole.

- Life cannot be created here. Level up system to level 5 or get to the soul monarch level to create life force.

- Can only teleport things here by contact. ]

"Hm. so I can't create life in here but any other thing"

His voice reverberated throughout the place and came back to him, giving him a gloomy feeling.

He wondered if there would be a cost if he was to transform the dimension.

As if reading his mind, the system screen appeared again.

[Your soul energy will be used to make changes in the dimension.

The amount of soul energy needed varies.]

"As I thought"

Looks like his hunch was right.

He closed his eyes as he pictured an image of an empty grassland. He also wanted his dimension to be unique so he also pictured a purple sky, golden sun, and also stars that also shone brightly.

"Ahh"

He furrowed his brows as he felt his energy sipping out of his body at a rapid rate.

He felt as if his soul was being sucked out at that moment.

After some seconds he felt normal again and he opened his eyes. He looked around and indeed, the changes he imagined took place.

There was only grass in the distance with some little pink flowers here and there.

The purple sky gave off a strange and dark vibe. The stars that shone were like diamonds in the sky.

The golden sun wasn't hot like normal but was cold. It outshone the other stars that were around it but it was still beautiful.

"Perfect...I still feel kind of weak though...sigh"

He sighed as he spread his legs, assuming a stance. He squatted half way , both of his arms were beside his waist and were in a position such that it looked like he wanted to pull something.

This was a martial art stance that he saw on Earth, both his hands have been balled into fists.

He took a deep breath and punched forward.

*Boooom*

A ripple occurred in the air that he punched in front of him. It probably occurred due to the strength and speed behind the attack.

"Yep, they have definitely improved"

He looked at his hands in amazement at how this place could increase his strength.

"According to what I learned before, that ripple must have occurred due to the force and speed of my punch"

He summoned the system screen with his thoughts and it appeared.

[Stats-(Dimensional buff activated)

Strength- 245

Speed- 221

Intelligence- 210

Agility- 221

Soul energy- 50,000/440,000 ]

"Well...they did improve. Sigh, too bad it's temporary"

He dismissed the screen and proceeded to explore the place.

After a while of walking he saw pieces of meat on a patch of grass that was flat in the distance and walked towards it.

Arriving before the meats, he noticed that he saw this patch before but didn't pay any attention to it.

And that's when the reality of the situation hit him.

'Probably the loophole of this place'

He thought. It was just like Earth but a smaller version. He was walking in circles the whole time.

Anyone who mistakenly enters his dimension will surely be frustrated by it.

"Wait a minute, a place exclusive to me, where people cannot see me!"

"This is the perfect opportunity I've been looking for to test out my skills" he said out loud in excitement.

He didn't truly know the extent of his powers as there was no need to use some of his skills and he has never used them.

"Let me leave a message first" he said as he vanished from his dimension.

Appearing in his room, Vernox saw Beth in his room with his royal attire in her arms. She smiled at him and greeted him.

"Good morning, my Lord. These are your clothes" She bowed 180 degrees.

Vernox couldn't believe that she was still acting formal with him, since they had sex yesterday.

'Or is sex a normal thing for demons' he walked to her and took the clothes from her hands while smiling.

"You can leave. I'll be out of my room a little late today" he said to her as he went and put the clothes on his bed.

"O...of course... it's just that...there are some demons who want to have a meeting with the demon Lord and are all waiting" Beth said and she looked tensed a bit.

"Don't worry. Tell them that I'm doing something important"

She nodded in response and left the room.

Vernox's brows furrowed as he felt his soul energy regenerating rapidly.

This seems to have been going on for a while now.

[Soul energy- 294,179/440,000 ]

"Huh?. Seems like there isn't any energy in that dimension. I'll work on that later"

He decided to wait for sometime to replenish his soul energy first.

After some minutes his energy was replenished and he stood up.

"The feeling of the soul energy is so soothing"

He said and he vanished from the room as he teleported to the Abyss.
