A Desperate Musician.

{Central continent: Spirit Affinity House}

"You want to know my history?" E142 was playing the violin when Feng Jue Ge interrupted him.

"Your otherworldly demon identity is quite evident to me, but what I truly desire to know is how you came to master music so proficiently," Feng Jue Ge inquired.

E142 took a moment to ponder the question, closing his eyes briefly, "First thank you for not reading my soul, secondly, I can tell you're the kind of person where if I said I was a murderer you probably wouldn't care, as such out of respect I will tell you my story with complete honesty and transparency."

{Juilliard School}

The principal of Juilliard School tossed the expulsion papers across his desk with a dismissive gesture.

"Expelled!" he declared, not sparing the young musician a second glance.

Desperate to salvage his dreams, the musician pleaded with the principal. "Is it because of my lack of talent? If so surely my hard work can more than make up for it, you can tell by the blisters on my hands that I am not a quitter, please I ask for you to reconsider!"

But the principal remained unmoved. "Sorry kid, but the music industry is not for everyone."

Undeterred, the musician begged for another chance. "I will get better! I already practice 14 hours a day. It's just a matter of time before I become a master at the violin!"

Deep wrinkles showed on the principal's forehead. "You've been here for two years, and you still can't play the violin. It's not that you lack talent, it's that you have the exact opposite! Now get out of my office before I call security!"

Defeated, the young musician hung his head and silently left the principal's office. The principal did not wish to be cruel, but what was he to do, that man was simply hopeless.

As he trudged out of the school, his spirits at an all-time low, the musician chanced upon a little pamphlet that caught his eye. It read, "Find the talent that was always inside you."

Normally, the musician would have dismissed such a pamphlet as a scam, but at this point, he was desperate enough to try anything.

⸻4 years later⸻

Evol Ution strode up to a cell, peering inside at the captive figure of E142.

"Greetings, I am..." he began, but before he could finish introducing himself, E142 abruptly cut him off.

"The Mother's lackey," he said flatly, picking up a cup of water and taking a slow sip.

Before Evol Ution could respond, a speaker in the room suddenly crackled to life. The voice of an old woman filled the room.

"So you already knew of my existence?"

"I hear everything that goes on in this prison, oh sorry, Awakening Center." ~ E142 retorted, showing a clear disdain towards his current living conditions.

". . .Experiment 142 has the ability to mimic any sound they've heard, whether it be vocal or instrumental, this ability also extends to playing the instrument, and you also have equivalent to 10 times a bat's hearing. While very powerful he has clear weaknesses."

Suddenly, a high-pitched sound on a frequency only dogs could hear filled the room. E142 immediately covered his ears, writhing in agony on the ground.

Just as suddenly as it had started, the sound abruptly stopped. E142 slowly stood up, his expression wary. "You want to get your hands on the Interdimensional Travel lab, correct?" he asked.

"Correct! And all you have to do is go to a new world and make an anchor point back to this one."

E142 paused for a moment before making his request. "Could I bring my lackeys, the triplets, along with me?"

"You're referring to those 3 from the insane asylum. . . Sure, why not. But if you double-cross us we'll send E049 after you, or perhaps if you're lucky we'll send an even lower number."
