66 Look At Me Sparing My Opponents, Aren't I Charitable?

"Domain Expansion: Fractured Worlds," Otto said coldly, making a praying gesture.

The air around them grew denser, charged with an ominous energy. Phantom sensed the shift in the atmosphere, her unease growing as Otto's barrierless domain expansion began to take shape.

Everything started to darken, even though it was still only 4:00 PM. The bright afternoon sun was blotted out, replaced by an eerie twilight that seemed to swallow all light. The ground beneath them cracked and splintered, floating fragments of the earth suspended in mid-air, creating a surreal, fractured landscape.

"This..." Phantom looked the phenomenon in confusion, then shifted her gaze to Otto, who wore a meaningful expression. The world around them seemed to fragment further, each piece reflecting parts of the battlefield, making it look like they were fighting in a shattered mirror.

Suddenly, she felt a cut on her arm, which began to multiply at an alarming rate. Phantom watched in surprise as thin, precise slices appeared all over her body, each one growing exponentially. Her Phantom form, previously immune to such injuries, could now be inflicted with wounds, a clear sign that Otto had adapted to her astral nature.

"This is the pinnacle of Jujutsu Sorcery," Otto stated. His Domain Expansion was a lethal type, and like any other domain, it ensured a sure hit.

'Her body is still intact...' He felt disappointed as he hadn't applied the Reverse Curse Technique to his domain just yet.

Blades of energy materialized from the fractured space around them, striking with unerring precision. If this were in the middle of the city, Otto would have sliced every building and all the people inside into cubes like butter. But what he was dealing was a god-like entity that not many could ever hope to damage in a conventional manner.

Phantom tried to defend herself, erecting barriers of shimmering energy. But her efforts were futile as the slashes ignored her defenses entirely, cutting through her barriers as if they were nothing more than air.

The barrage of slashes continued to cut Phantom relentlessly. Each cut was sharp, precise, and devastating, drawing forth ethereal blood that dissipated into the fractured air. Although it wasn't enough to fatally damage her to the point of helplessness, it was enough to slow down her regeneration significantly. The cuts kept multiplying for three minutes straight, each one meant to be fatal, each one sapping her strength bit by bit.

Phantom, usually so composed and untouchable, found herself on the defensive, her movements growing slower and slower. The once silent and graceful fighter was now grunting with effort, her form flickering under the relentless assault.

"Haah—" Phantom's exhaustion was palpable as the Domain Expansion finally subsided, leaving her gasping for breath amidst the shattered remnants of Otto's world. As he was ready for a round two of Domain Expansion.

Otto, his eyes gleaming with a mix of triumph and exhaustion, took a step forward. He was ready to unleash his Domain Expansion once again if necessary. "You lost," he stated, his voice steady and cold, putting his hand over her neck.

Phantom, weakened and drained, looked up at him, her eyes filled with reluctant respect. She could feel the power emanating from Otto, a power that had pushed her to her minimal limit.

Otto tightened his grip slightly, not enough to harm her, but enough to make his point clear. "It's over," he said, his voice a final declaration of his victory.

"..." Phantom remained silent as her phantom form started to dissipate, revealing her true appearance.

"Hey, your real appearance is beautiful..." Otto honestly complimented her, watching as the disguise faded away. Before him stood a stunning woman in her twenties, with pale skin, pale blue hair, and dark circles beneath her eyes.

"Now, what's with that look?" Otto asked, noticing her displeased gaze.

"When are you going to kill me?" she asked, her voice tinged with a strange mix of resignation and hope. She had long sought someone capable of ending her existence and had finally found that person standing before her.

"Looking to die?" Otto smirked. Before he could respond further, the barrier that Reine had originally created began to break down.

"... You." Otto felt a sudden urge to laugh as he realized they were now back in the place where Reine had kidnapped him. Onlookers were now staring at the bizarre sight of him clutching a woman's neck.

"I guess I'm not fated to die here in this place then..." Reine sighed, knowing that Otto wouldn't kill her in the middle of the city.

"Whatever..." Otto decided to spare her, for helping him how to use the Reverse Curse Technique.

As he walked away calmly from the crowd, with Reine quietly following him.

...

"What are you following me for?" Otto looked annoyed at Reine, who had been pitifully trailing behind him for hours.

"Let's make a deal," she said.

"What?" Otto skeptically looked at her, considering changing his mind about sparing her if this continued.

"I'll do whatever you want, in return, you'll have to kill me." She proposed, her voice filled with a longing to be reunited with her lover in the afterlife.

"And why would I do that?" He asked, unimpressed by her offer. He wasn't the type to take advantage of someone's desperation.

"..."

"I've already given you a second chance to live. Why are you so willing to waste it?" Otto glared at her, despising those who squandered their second chances.

"I—"

"Where did your arrogance go? Did it shatter after one loss to someone weaker than you?" Otto's voice was sharp. He was certain that Reine, in her current form, wasn't fully transformed into Mio Takamiya. Otherwise, he would have been obliterated.

"No..."

"Don't forget, Reine, you've already taken Raisel back with you." He whispered in her ear, making her start in surprise at how he knew her name.

"How did you know?"

"Because we're in Raisel. No matter what kind of higher being you are..." Otto squinted his eyes, "In the end, we're all just characters in a fiction." He muttered.

To him, the world he inhabited was a fiction that had somehow become reality.

"So if you're looking for someone who could kill you, consider exploring the wider world. You'll find gods..." Otto paused, realizing she might be much stronger than those gods.

"No—scratch what I said. Have you... uh..." Otto thought harder, searching for anyone in this world who might be capable of fulfilling her wish.

"Have you considered... there might be someone or something even stronger out there, beyond what we know? You might find the answers or the end you're looking for. But it won't be with me. I've got my own thing to do, and it doesn't include ending your life since you've helped me."

"???" Reine waited for his response, remembering how she had already challenged gods who had proven hostile, yet they were unable to kill her.

"What would I even get if I kill you?" Otto asked, considering the possibility of creating a black hole in front of her by using his authority to increase the density of an object by thirty times that of the sun.

'Hmmm, thinking of black holes... I think I know what my next goal is,' Otto thought of recreating a God Key in the future, he was after all, Otto Apocalypse.

"I'll do anything... Just put me out of my misery..." she pleaded, having nothing left to live for since her lover's death.

"How about the other Sephira Crystals? Can I have those?" he asked, his mind turning to the broken powers those crystals contained.

"You can, but you'll have to extract them from the girls I've planted them in," she replied.

"Never mind then..." Otto clicked his tongue in frustration. It would be too troublesome to find them, and he couldn't even remember all the girls' names or appearances anymore. The only one he knew well was Kurumi, thanks to her popularity on rule 34.

"Wait...!" she called, "Take this, if you ever change your mind." She handed over Rasiel's Sephira Crystal, hoping he might be one of the few capable of ending her life.

Watching Reine finally leave him alone in the alley, Otto sighed.

"This is useless now..." he thought, noting that his brain had adapted to processing and perceiving information very quickly.

"Hmmm, maybe this is a great gift for Brynhildr. Maybe I'll make her an Angel." He muttered, realizing he hadn't gotten her anything other than those lewd books at the mall.

"My domain is rigged..." he felt as though his domain wasn't working properly, sensing something was missing in it.

"Meh, whatever. It did what it was supposed to do: cut things." He shrugged and started heading back to the Academy as Aizen.

*Knock* *knock*

"Come in, Sosuke-kun," Yuri said, having called for him to discuss his dorm arrangements.

"Good evening, Miss Yuri. Are you feeling better now?" he asked, concerned as she had looked quite unwell this morning.

"I am, Sosuke-kun, thanks for worrying about me," Yuri replied with a soft smile.

"It's natural for a student to worry about their teachers, after all," he responded kindly.

"Well, let's get into your dorm application, Sosuke-kun, so you can rest in your dorm tonight," Yuri said, quickly working through the paperwork. She found a vacant room that matched his criteria and shared it with an A-Rank student like him.

"Do you mind if your roommate is also A-Rank?" she asked, wondering if it would be an issue.

"Nope, I don't mind," he replied, curious if it was someone he knew.

"Great, your roommate also specializes in the water element like you," she added.

"Oh, you don't say..." Aizen glanced slyly at the papers, recognizing the name. 'Wasn't Shizuku's roommate Nagi Arisuin? And didn't he or she(Nagi) enroll before me?' Otto wondered.

"Now that we're done filling it out, do you want me to walk you to your dorm room?" she offered.

"That won't be necessary, Miss Yuri," he politely declined, finding the offer a bit odd. "I'll be just fine. Besides, you should take a rest now. I'm not sure if you've fully recovered from your, umm... illness?"

"Well, if you insist, then. I can't really force you," she replied, handing him the registered card to his room.

"See you tomorrow, Miss Yuri," Aizen said, bowing before leaving his teacher alone in the room.

As Aizen made his way through the Academy's hallways, he couldn't help but think about his new roommate.

'Shizuku Kurogane, huh? This could be interesting,' he mused.

He arrived at the dorm building and found his room easily enough. Sliding the key card into the lock, he pushed the door open and stepped inside. The room was spacious and well-lit, with two beds on opposite sides, each with a desk and a wardrobe. Unlike his original room that Nene

'She hasn't moved in yet,' he noted, as he realized he needed to leave something on his side of the room to make it look like he was present, even if he was away for a long period of time.

He took a moment to think about what to place, considering various items, before giving up and deciding to just leave his special glasses on the desk. The glasses were unique, something that would be noticed but not easily taken or tampered with.

'This should do,' he thought, placing them carefully on the desk. The glasses had a sleek design, with a subtle shimmer that hinted at their special properties as he made it using his authority.

A few minutes later, Aizen left the room, making his way back to his original dorm room. As he walked he couldn't help but think about the events of the day.

"What a wild day..." he sighed, wanting nothing more than to cuddle with Brynildr now after being away for so long.
