Chapter 4

3rd POV

In Gaius's, Chambers Merlin sat down to eat breakfast as Gaius questioned"Do you want some vegetables with that?"Merlin snorted and replied, "I know you're still angry with me."Gaius with a stern tone said, "Your mother asked me to look after you."

Merlin grimaced and replied"Yes."Gaius curiously questioned, "What did your mother say to you about your gifts?"Merlin smiled and answered, "That I was special."

Gaius gave a nod and said"You are special. The likes of which I have never seen before. There is only one person I have seen similar to you."

Merlin with interest questioned"What do you mean? and Is there someone like me?"

Gaius explained"Well, magic requires incantations, spells. It takes years to study. What I saw you do was... elemental, instinctive and there is only one other person who can do magic as you do.", Merlin asked, "Who is it?"

Gaius sighed and said"Hadrian Peverell."Merlin raised an eyebrow and asked, "The person that I saw when I first came here."Gaius just nodded and said"He is the son of Lord Peverell they come from a really powerful bloodline of sorcerers. They fully kept themselves hidden even during the great purge they secretly helped secretly move witches and warlocks out of Camelot."

Merlin grinned and asked, "So he can help me with my magic?"Gaius shrugged and replied, "It depends on you actually."

Merlin thought about it then asked, "So he is like me."Gaius shrugged and replied, "My instincts tell me he is stronger than you."Merlin raised an eyebrow but just nodded and asked, "So did you study magic?"

Gaius grimaced and replied, "Uther banned all such work twenty years ago."Merlin in confusion questioned, "Why?"

Gaius sighed and replied, "I can't give you full detail but Uther asked a witch for something and the witch had warned Uther that it would cost him something and it did after that Uther made it his mission to destroy everything from back then, even the dragons."

Merlin in disbelief asked"What dragons? All of them?"

Gaius sighed and replied"There was one dragon he chose not to kill, kept it as an example. He imprisoned it in a cave deep beneath the castle where no one can free it. Now, eat up. When you've finished, I need you to take preparation to Lady Helen. She needs it for her voice."

While Merlin got up Gaius muttered, "If only I was brave enough I could have stopped the genocide of my people."

Flashback

Gaius in disbelief questioned, "You are telling me Uther killed all my people because he lost his wife. That can't be the only reason."I sighed and replied"Yes I know Uther asked you for help contact a woman called Nimeuh for help after discovering Ygraine was unable to have children. Nimueh agreed and used magic to allow Ygraine to conceive a child, thus producing a son and heir, Arthur Pendragon. Although Nimueh warned Uther magic has laws but it was brushed off by Uther who so happy with having an Heir."

Gaius muttered, "That can't be the only reason right Uthur told me, people, were using dark magic. All this time I thought it was because people used magic for the wrong end."Hadrian shook his head and replied, "Uther lied to you, Gaius."

Gaius questioned, "How do you know all this?"I smiled and replied, "I can see the past as well as the future."Gaius was surprised as she asked, "So you know the future."Hadrian just gave a nod and replied"Yes although the future is not set in stone.I will say this the king after Uther will unite the kingdom."

Gaius in disbelief asked"You mean Arthur.It can't be."Hadrian smiled and explained, "I know he is not ready yet but a warlock will guide him to be a good king."Gaius with curiosity asked, "Who is this Warlock?"

Hadrian smiled and replied, "His birth name is Emrys and he will come to you, Gaius."

Flashback end

Gaius sighed and thought "So Merlin is Emrys. It seems the vision you foresaw is coming true Hadrian."

Hadrian POV

I was enjoying my time with Morgana as Arthur came towards us and said"Uhh Hadrian are you participating in the tournament."I grinned and replied, "Of course I am, and are you ready to get your royal ass kicked your highness."

Arthur huffed and replied, "I will win this time for sure."I shrugged and said, "Whatever you say your highness."Arthur glared and replied, "You are really an ass."

Morgana watched the friendly batter with amusement as Arthur just rolled his eyes and went to his Fathers side as I whispered to Morgana "He still harbors a crush on you."Morgana looked as if she was sick when she heard this and replied "He is my half brother."

I grimaced and replied, "I know but it's the truth he does have a crush on you."Morgana sighed and said, "Let's talk about something else."

I turned serious and asked, "So do you still have those visions."Morgana shook her head and replied, "No those potions you called dreamless potions help me sleep at night without any problem."Morgana then looked like she remembered something as she continued "I should tell Gaius to stop preparing my medicines."

I waved it off and replied, "Don't worry I will tell him tomorrow."Morgana smiled hearing that as she whispered "You know I always get the feeling without you my life would have been very lonely."I held her hand and said, "Don't think like that you will have me by your side for eternity."

I gave a nod as I noticed the wards around the castle notify me of the fact Merlin entered the castle as I smiled and thought"So he is here to meet Kilgharrah."
