Chapter 5

Hadrian POV

After getting alerted by the wards I used disillusionment charm to turn invisible as I went down the castle.I found Merlin descending the Wrought Iron Stairway and distracting a pair of guards by rolling their dice away from them using magic. After that I watched Merlin grabbed a torch, lights it, and heads down the Tunnel Stairway as I followed him and saw Merlin having a famous conversation with Kilghrarrah who was amused as he asked"I'm here! How small you are for such a great destiny."

Merlin was curious as he questioned" Why? What d'you mean? What destiny?"

Kilghrarrah answered, "Your gift, Merlin, was given to you for a reason." Merlin narrowed his eyes and asked," So there is the reason." The dragon smiled and explained," Arthur is the once and future king who will unite the land of Albion."

I snorted hearing that as I thought "Albion is a short-term goal as the kingdom after Arthur's death it will break apart as gwen is no matter how you look at it she is a blacksmiths daughter.The nobles won't take orders from someone they consider as lower than them and Merlin pretty much became depressed after the death of Arthur and Morgana."

Merlin looked at the dragon as if he is an idiot and said"Right."Kilgharrah continued "But he faces many threats from friend and foe alike."

Merlin was confused and asked, "I don't see what this has to do with me." Kilghrarrah patiently answered"Everything. Without you, Arthur will never succeed. Without you, there will be no Albion."

Merlin shook his head and said"No. No, you've got this wrong." Kilgrarrah spoke, "There is no right or wrong, only what is and what isn't."

Merlin was angry as he said"But I'm serious! If anyone wants to go and kill him, they can go ahead. In fact, I'll give them a hand."I held myself from laughing then I heard him say the famous line Kilgrarrah laughed and said"None of us can choose our destiny, Merlin."

I scoffed and thought "Yeah Merlin's destiny is to live an immortal life while all those close to him just die of natural causes."I heard Merlin go into denial as he said"No. No way. No. No. There must be another Arthur because this one's an idiot."

Kilgrarrah simply replied, "Perhaps it's your destiny to change that."

you doing here?"I simply looked at him as if he is an idiot and said"I live here also I am the one who is supposed to ask this question."

Merlin sheepishly looked away as I said"Go back to Gaius Merlin before those guards come back "Merlin hesitated but soon gave a nod and went back as I looked at Kilgrarrah and asked, "So Kilgrarrah you do know the fact Merlin's fate has changed right."

Kilgrarrah chuckled and replied, "Yes I know after all the culprit is in front of me."I glared at him said, "Then knowing this why are you trying to rush him."Kilgrarrah in anger replied, "That child is my only way to escape from this prison."

I scowled and said, "Don't use that kid like that you will only cause problems for Albion."Kilgrarrah snorted then flew away as I thought"The timeline witch-hunts in Early Modern Europe and Colonial America took place in the Early Modern period or about 1450 to 1750 and now the year is 1223 AD.Also Merlin did not help during witch hunts as he was far to depressed because of losing all his loved ones."

I decided to think about all this later as I went back to my room as I was a master in Potioneer,Charms,Transfiguration and Runologists started to work more on my defense aganist dark arts spell work their is an intresting effect like the Dark arts from Harry potter world technically there is not dark or light magic as both can be used to kill but the ones in harry potter world is basically like a drug you get addicted to it the only way stop it is to have strong center or your occlumency must be very strong also if you enjoy killing and stuff to much you will start to lose yourself.In a way it is similar to Expression from the TVD universe which is a form of extremely dark and powerful sorcery that supposedly draws on energy that is so malicious it would demolish the world if it were ever called into existence.

I sighed and created a new ability [Shapeshifter] basically turn into any animal or person.I also can gain certain abilities of the said animal.I thought "Being an animagus is cool but it is limited to one animal so it best to have thi ability."Another ability I had was [Anima] Telepathic Communication with Animals also manipulation of Animals this was created to spy on people as animals like rats and birds are really good for spying.

The next day I was going to meet Morgana as I saw Merlin was about to enter Morgana's room as I spoke"Merlin stop."Merlin was surprised by my voice as I slowly walked towards him and said"Tell Gaius Morgana doesn't need her me medicines from now onwards."

Merlin was confused but he just nodded as I entered the inner chamber I saw Morgana trying out dress in the mirror.I can't help but be spellbound by her beauty. While Morgana is so focused on her own reflection that she doesn't notice me right behind her. Before I can say anything, she slips behind a screen and starts to change and says" You know I've been thinking about Hadrian a lot lately."I smirked hearing that as I said"Is that so?."

Morgana was shocked and was about to shout as I quickly cast 'Silencio' to make sure her sound was heard as she saw it was me she stopped shouting as I removed the silencing spell as she angrily said" Pass me that dress, you idiot?"

I smiled then passed the gown to her after wearing it she ran straight towards me and started to hit me on the shoulder while muttering"You idiot, you can't just barge into a lady's room like this."While saying this Morgana had a slight pink tint on her cheeks.

I held my hands in a surrendering gesture and replied,"Okay I am sorry also your lucky it was me otherwise the one who was going to enter the room was Gaius's apprentice."Morgana looked stunned hearing that and with little blush thought"Thank god it was Hadrian who entered the room."
