Traveling

The group gathered their stuff and headed toward Sangju. Prince Lee-chang and Moo-young were leading the group while Sung-woo was at the back holding Seo-bi hands and Yeong-shin following behind them holding his spear.

Yeong-shin noticed the prince had a gloomy face and asked: what's wrong with the prince?

Sung-woo was eating beef jerky and said: he was upset that I killed the leader of the royal guards.

Yeong-shin was confused and asked: why is that a problem? He would capture him if we didn't fight back.

Sung-woo sighed, took a sip of wine, and said: he is too kind-hearted. He needs to be a little more ruthless to be a great ruler.

Yeong-shin: if he was more ruthless then he would kill you for making him upset.

Sung-woo: he is a smart man. He should already know when a person is betraying him or helping him.

Yeong-shin shrugged his shoulders. Seo-bi looked at Sung-woo with some concern. She was worried that Sung-woo might be executed for upsetting the prince.

Seo-bi suggested: you should talk to the prince.

Sung-woo rejected: Nah he needed time to cool off and think about everything.

Seo-bi nodded her head.

After a while of traveling the sun started to come down. Sung-woo stops the group and starts to set up camp. Sung-woo told the guards to go to the nearby forest to kill any nearby zombies that is hibernating. He then told Yeong-shin, Moo-young, and the citizens to make spike barricades and place them all around the camp. Everyone followed Sung-woo's order and left to complete their task.

Sung-woo went over to prince Lee-chang and asked: are you still upset?

Prince Lee-chang shook his head: I always thought by forgiving everyone, maybe there is a chance they are willing to see their mistakes and make a change.

Sung-woo: your thinking is good but some people don't want to change and some people don't deserve the chance. When you become king you are going to make decisions that go against your morals.

Prince Lee-chang: maybe I don't deserve to be king

Sung-woo: Then why are you still fighting?

Prince Lee-chang: I don't know.

Sung-woo: people have ambition and something they want to live for. What is that you live for?

Prince Lee-chang looked at the crowd of citizens and kids playing: I want everyone to live a peaceful life and not worry about their next meal.

Sung-woo: then you have to make sure you are a strong-willed king. Make sure everyone's governor fears you so they no longer become greedy and help the citizens. Look at the fire and tell me what you see.

Prince Lee-chang stare at the fire and said: rage and pain.

Prince Lee-chang laughed: I hope you can invite me to your wedding. It's the least I can do since you saved my life multiple times.

Sung-woo: Sure, when this is all over I'll invite you.

They both laugh.

After a while, everyone finishes their task, and they gather together behind the spike barricades. The sun went down. Seo-bi told every villager to sleep while the guards stayed up and watched the group. Later through the night, some zombies came near the campground. They were easily disposed of by the guard. Suddenly everyone heard something groaning from the forest. It came out of the forest covered in dirt and groaning. The guard was about to kill the figure expecting it to be a zombie. Sung-woo stopped the guard.

They finally heard the figure say: help me

The prince and others came up.

Sung-woo kicked the figure: its governor Beom-pal.

The others were surprised and then became angry. Everyone took turns kicking Beom-pal on the ground.

Prince Lee-chang kicked and said: you left all the villagers to die

Moo-young kicked and said: you disobeyed the prince's order and left us and abandoned the prince

Yeong-shin stomp down and said: you heartless prick

Seo-bi: I should have told Sung-woo to kill you earlier.

Beom-pal was beaten to a pulp with bruises and swelling around his face. Beom-pal fainted due to the beating and exhaustion. Sung-woo splashes water on his face waking him up.

Prince Lee-chang points his sword at Beom-pal: so who gave you the courage to disobey my orders?

Beom-pal confused: I followed your order, your majesty. You told us to leave first and make sure all the royalty is safe and you take the citizens to a nearby village to keep them safe.

Prince Lee-chang: I never said that

Prince Lee-chang was going to kill Beom-pal and then Sung-woo asked: who told you this?

Beom-pal: the commander's mother.

Sung-woo: So that old lady that had an outburst?

Beom-pal: yes it was her.

Sung-woo: you should be lucky your dumb because if it would of have been your idea you would have been dead.

Prince Lee-chang put his sword away: so what happened to the boat?

Beom-pal: it was overrun by zombies.

Sung-woo: it should have been that old lady. she must have snuck her son's body into the boat

Prince Lee-chang: where was the boat heading?

Beom-pal: we were heading to Hanyang but we were near Sangju when the zombies overran us.

Moo-young: the base on the wind should dock at Sangju. This is not good.

Sung-woo: It's almost morning, let's start to head out now.

Prince Lee-chang looked up and saw the sun rising and woke everyone up.
