Chapter 20

————————MC's POV—————————

A few days after the Hollowfication incident, I'm in my office looking at the vacant Captain positions.

There is the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 12th division. I chose the 3rd division. After making my decision I shunpo to the 1st division barracks to inform them that I wanted to take the Captains Proficiency Test. I wanted to take the position before Gin so I had to be fast about this.

Upon reaching the gate, the hungry eyes of the men in the division fell onto me. I could fell lust oozing from their bodies. They were men who worked like mad men under the iron hand of Genryuusai Shigekuni Yamamoto. There was barely any free time for them. The women in this division always wore traditional shihakusho so when they saw mine being so revealing they had to fight the urge to jump on me.

Ignoring their thirsty eyes, I walked to reception where I stared my business. I waited for a few minutes until Yamamoto called for me.

Entering his office you feel his authority lingering in the air. The reiatsu in the air was thick. Anyone below Great would pass out immediately.

"So you are the one that wants to become a Captain of the 3rd Division" an old man sitting in a chair behind a desk asked.

"Yes Head Captain" I replied in a serious voice as I stood there waiting to invited to sit.

He looked in my eyes for a few seconds then nodded his head.

"You can come for the test in 3 days" he said.

I bowed and turned and left. As I was about to reach the gate I was Gin and Aizen walking to towards the 1st division.

I scanned them a little as we passed each other. Gin seemed to recognize me but he didn't say anything. They both had Vast rank reiatsu.

After I was out of the 1st division I shunpo back to the 2nd division.

—————————Aizen's POV————————

As Gin and I are walking into the 1st Division, I felt someone trying to scan my reiatsu so obviously I quickly reduced it to low level of Vast rank.

I look at the one scanning me and it's a beautiful woman with long pink hair and a revealing shihakusho. I quickly scan her and I'm surprised. 'Her reiatsu is mid Vast rank. How come I've never seen her befor..... wait I remember now, she was in the academy with Gin. Gin also recognizes her.' I thought.

This all happens in a fraction of a second as we pass each other.

After a few steps, I look at Gin.

"You seem to recognize her. Have you seen her before" I ask Gin pretending not to know.

"Yes, she was in my class at the academy" he replied.

"Interesting!" I say as we reach the reception.

After a few minutes, the head Captain calls for us.

As we enter I felt the density of reiatsu. And the head Captain spoke.

"Which positions are you want to take the Proficiency Test for"

"5th Division" I responded respectfully

"3rd Division" Gin said

"Too bad we already have a person in mind for the position" he said after a few seconds of scanning us.

"Then I'll take then I'll try for the 8th division" Gin said

"Hmmm.... very well come in 3 days for the test" he said after some seconds of thinking.
