Chapter 16

——————Yoruichi's POV———————-

We were watching the exchange between Sakura and the Adjucha. She seems to be at a disadvantage because of her small weapon.

She was cut by he hollow.

"Captain I think I should go help her." requested Soi Fon with a worrying expression.

"She hasn't even used her Shikai yet. Have faith in Sakura" I replied to an unconvinced Soi Fon.

I felt a spike in reiatsu, and I focused my attention on the fight again. Sakura released her Shikai. Her spiritual pressure increased to Great. Maybe it's the ability of her Shikai, I thought analytically.

In a burst of speed she jumped towards the hollow and punched towards it with her gauntlet. Without time to dodge the hollow crossed its arm and braced for impact.

*booom!!* *booom!!*

I was shocked as I witnessed was happened. I had always thought her gauntlets had some reiatsu projectile ability because of the wall she destroyed against Kaiso but I was wrong.

As I watched her break the block and punch the hollow 500 meters away through two sand dunes. That flick that destroyed the wall wasn't an ability but it was brute strength. The others were clearly shocked by the show of strength. We followed her as she followed up on the hollow.

———————-Nnoitra's POV———————-

As I pulled myself from the sand, I felt a sharp ring in my head. That was one hell of a punch. I underestimated my opponent and had paid the price. As I struggled to stand up, I couldn't feel 1 of my arms and one was badly fractured and was practically useless.

I had to get out here because I couldn't take another punch from that monster.

As I was about to run but she appeared in front of me. I have to take this serious. If only I had taken her seriously from the beginning.

————————Mc's POV——————-

I was looking at the pathetic state Nnoitra was in. If only he had taken me seriously before I released my Shikai.

He pointed two of his blades at me and started charging 2 ceros.

"Cero!" He said as two beams sped towards me. I jumped left and he saw this as a chance and appeared behind me as he slashed a blade at me. I broke the blade with a punch.

He jumped back creating some distance.

"Let's end" I said as I got into a Hakuda stance. He became very cautious. He was prepared to dodge at any moment and avoid any close combat. It's a good tactic but .... I put half of my reiatsu into my fist which caused the gauntlet to start glowing.

He tensed his muscles ready to sped away at any time.

"Chaaaa!!!" I shouted as I put a lot of strength into fist as I punched the ground with a loud *bang!* followed by a surge of sand and shockwaves moving from me spreading outwards. Nnoitra was losing balance and he jumped to safety.

Seeing this I shunpo in front of him while he was in mid air. Seeing me appear out no where, his eyes opened wide realizing he can't dodge me my attack in mid air as he again crossed his remaining arms. With my left hand a punched with all my strength and punched him to the ground with a *boom!*

I felt that this punch was somehow weaker but that didn't matter as long as he was dead.

I walked to the crater that was still cover by a dust screen. Suddenly sensing danger I jumped back and my right hand was cut this time. It instantly felt weaker.

"It finally kicked in didn't it" said Nnoitra's voice from the dust screen as he was struggling to catch his breathe.

"Your blades are covered in poison, are they?" I asked as my upper body felt weaker and I had to go on my knees to prevent myself from falling. I started struggling to breathe. I coughed blood as was on one knee.

"Finally realized it huh. It works faster the more you use reiatsu." He said as he walked out of the screen with only but one arm functional and covered in blood and bruises.

He was struggling to walk as he looked like he would fall anytime.

"My poison is my secret weapon. I had first put a slow working one at the beginning as I was planning to toy with you but that was a mistake.*huff* *huff* luckily the poison weakened your arm during that last punch otherwise I'd be a goner." He said as he laughed lightly, "the poison I injected this time works instantly, it's the strongest I have. Now I'm gonna torture you before the poison kills you and I'm going to eat you afterwards"

He started running towards me. Putting some reiatsu into my legs shunpo above him and raise 1 leg high.

"Heaven's kick of pain" I said as I was barely hanging onto consciousness. Seeing this he tried to block with his arm but the axe kick tore through his arm and struck his mask crushing it and him.

This is the last thing I saw as I lost consciousness. We both underestimated each other and we now were in a tough spot.
