Chapter 30

Chapter 30

It is the first time Jamie entered the place. There are huge big letters of Gold House written at the establishment entrance. Their car went straight without the security checking them out while the other luxury cars were stuck at the other entryway before the road that will bring them to the casino house.

The place is huge. There are also hotels nearby and a small bridge that connects them to the other side, beneath them are also big bodies of water separating both lands. It was fascinating and beautiful. There are some yachts that Jamie is sure for wealthy people to enjoy. He was impressed.

Gino drives swiftly as they reach the valet parking. They come out of the car with security already waiting for them. Gino tosses the key and he follows Jamie and Kun to the entrance.

The establishment is screaming for fortune and vices. The lights are bright, almost blinding them.  There's a section for the bar and Jamie recognizes some of the most expensive liquor in the world. Jamie knew that the Kim Empire was also importing wine from Asia and now Europe. He recognizes it in the display only to scoff because his family has a connection in this kind of place. He expected them though.

Kun, an heir of Dragon, was recognized by the people. Kun only had a polite expression on his face but naturally didn't care about them. Some foreigners also go to pay respect at Kun. Jamie is beside Gino, only to observe the men surrounding his brother. They didn't pay him much attention but surely some shifted their heads because Jamie is a looker. However, he only sees greed and bad intentions; fortunately, no one crosses to an heir. They are too scared to touch one of the Dragon's afraid they can't handle the consequences.

Gino takes him to a private table, separated at the corner near the bar as they walk through the huge red door for VIPs. There are also guards but Gino passes a velvet card and those guards let them in without any questions.

The place inside is no different from the outside. There are also tables for card players, machines, and slots. Nevertheless, the people inside are a lot more sophisticated and dangerous than Jamie perceives them.

There are foreigners, Japanese, and Koreans too. Americans are all prominent based on their height and eyes but Jamie's brother Kun is six feet tall and also fit. Gino is second because they are almost the same height while Jamie is tall too but he looked slender because he has no muscles yet. He grimaces at the thought. That's why he needs to work out more.

Jamie is seated quietly while his brother Kun is at the table with Gino playing poker with other men. They are talking about business but Jamie knows well what business they are discussing truly.

A cute girl went to his table and gave him champagne. She was Japanese and Jamie faked not understanding her.

"I'm sorry," Jamie mumbled in Korean and the girl had a disappointed look on her face. She looks bored but Jamie clearly says that he will not talk or acknowledge anything in this place. He didn't trust these people and any mistake will cause trouble. Jamie hated trouble so he stayed away just enough to care for his company to see their presence.

"Fancy seeing you here, Sweetheart." A man's voice took Jamie's inner thought. He shifted his gaze to the man's doe eyes. Recognition flashes at Jamie as he watches the man grin at him. He frowned.

Jamie bows his head short enough to acknowledge the politeness. The man cheekily smirks and walks out from his table to greet his brother and the others when a woman calls him.

The man is the person he met months ago at Kim's estate, in his stepfather's office to be precise. The guy who has dark doe eyes, with tattoos on his arm. Jamie has met intimidating men in his life but that person is a lot different than the others. He helped him to find his killer but Jamie doesn't understand why he assisted him.

Was he part of a dragon mafia too? His father's subordinate? Maybe. He fits all the requirements. His father said that he has someone who will do that job or let's say will do it for them. Nonetheless, that man Jamie forgot the name, and followed his father's order. Something that Jamie understood as also one of the most dangerous people in this room.

The guy has a massive aura, blood lust is one of them. He looked harmless on the outside, like punk or even an idol if Jamie could think of his face. Jamie didn't want to admit it but the man is ethereal and handsome. He also has a small scar on his upper ear near his eyes that burned his face to be dangerously attractive but Jamie doesn't know why he notices it. But seeing a beautiful man is calling his narcissistic side. Like pulling him on a high alert.

He tilted his head seeing Kun talking with another Chinese person. The tattoo guy has a poker face on his face and Jamie watches them. He also has his assistant beside him, a very beautiful girl. The woman has pure porcelain skin with thin lips and a small nose. She is like a goddess having brown eyes and brown hair. Her dress is hugging her slender body and Jamie is in awe of how much she carried herself with confidence, Authority, and sexy. Jamie sighed, feeling inferior to these people.

They are the only people who make Jamie inferior in his status. He knew he is like an ant with these people especially since some of them are also part of gangs or mafia or whatever you called those criminal organizations that people read about in fiction. Jamie is nothing without his name and that scares him the most. Being a lamb in a room full of wolves and how much his presence is easy prey. It infuriates him the most that Jamie has no power so he stays still until the evening deepens and the game ends. Jamie's getting irritated, he followed his brother when they started to enter a room Jamie has a bad feeling seeing the darker dim lights.

It was like an underground and they were forced to wear half masks, only covering their half face. Jamie enters a room with glass walls. There is a stage beneath them and Jamie doesn't like seeing a beautiful girl singing a classic song with men on her feet looking like hungry animals ready to devour her.

Jamie shivers in the dark atmosphere. He frowned at Gino who told him to be seated on the couch near the long velvet leather sofa. The upper room with glasses is obviously for VIP guests. The woman's serene voice echoes and those pathetic men clap their hands after the girl finishes singing.

Someone entered the room and based on his suit he looked like a pimp, Jamie dismissed the ironic memory with Ren's father. He looked at the man who smiled widely at Kun.

"Welcome to Venus Mr. Kim. Are you going to participate in the auction?" The man who was wearing a green suit spoke without fear. He smiles widely while Gino only grimaces at him. He smirks.

"I won't participate," Kun says in a calm tone but there's a warning intended on it.

"Of course, I'll send someone to offer you drinks." He muttered with a sly expression on his face. He ignores Jamie but looks in his way only for a brief moment.

He exits the room.

Jamie didn't like this place. His grip tightens at the couch edge and his dark eyes are directed at the girl who was only in her teens singing below with a helpless look on her pretty face. Jamie curses under his breath.

End of chapter 30.
