Chapter 42: Hidden Inventory- Star Plasma Vessel

The sun cast a warm, golden glow over the Jujutsu High School as Gojo Satoru strolled onto the campus the next day.

His return was met with a mix of surprise and amusement.

As Gojo walked through the school gates, he spotted Suguru Geto and Ieiri Shoko engaged in what appeared to be a serious discussion.

However, their expressions shifted from seriousness to amusement as soon as they noticed Gojo's approach.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the wanderer returning to the nest," Suguru remarked with a sly grin, his eyes gleaming with curiosity.

Gojo chuckled, his hands tucked into his pockets, and replied, "Missed me, didn't you, Suguru?"

Ieiri, always ready, chimed in, "We were starting to think you went on a quest to find the legendary Digimon or something."

Gojo raised an eyebrow, feigning contemplation, and said, "Hmm, Digimon, you say? Not a bad idea. I could use a Patamon or maybe an Agumon by my side."

Suguru shook his head, a smile playing on his lips, and said, "Heh, You never fail to say nonsense stuff, Satoru. So, did you bring back any souvenirs from your international trip?"

Gojo tilted his head, "What are you? my child or something..?"

Geto's eyes twitched and Shoko started laughing like an imp.

"Well, he is back so shouldn't we tell him about that?" Shoko asked Geto.

"Hmm, yeah.. the time is already ticking," Geto said as he became serious.

Gojo raised an eyebrow, glancing between Shoko and Geto. "What's all this serious talk about? Did I miss some big announcement?"

With her unusually 'composed demeanor, ' Shoko replied, "Yea, Yaga Sensei - The Doll-loving old man has been appointed as the new Principal and was discussing a mission for you and this guy, Satoru. He's been awaiting your return."

'Hmm, I am already 2 days late coz of DS world.... let's see' Gojo thought seriously but soon changed to his previous demeanor.

Gojo's eyes gleamed with curiosity. "Oh? Sensei finally got a promotion huh? Guess he must have held a kitty party with his stuffed toys..." Gojo continued "And a mission, huh? Perfect timing. Let's hear the details."

Geto nodded, "Haha, and Sensei wants us to head to the classroom. He'll fill you in on the mission there."

"Alright then, lead the way," Gojo said, falling into step with Shoko and Geto as they made their way to the classroom.

The trio settled in the classroom,

Gojo caught Geto's eye and exaggerated a huge yawn, causing Geto to smirk.

That's when they heard loud footsteps approaching rapidly from outside.

The classroom door suddenly slammed open, making everyone jump. It was their teacher and the newly appointed Principal Yaga, breathing heavily like he had just run there.

But that wasn't the strangest thing. In his hands was a stuffed toy frog, about the size of a small child's doll.

Yaga was waving it around excitedly as he caught his breath.

Gojo, Geto, and Shoko exchanged amused looks. Gojo raised an eyebrow mockingly. Geto had to stifle a laugh behind his hand. Even Shoko was having trouble keeping a straight face.

Yaga finally noticed the class staring at him with barely contained smiles. "What are those faces for?" he demanded.

Gojo couldn't help himself. "Aren't you a bit old for playing with that?" he said in an innocent tone that didn't quite mask his smirk.

Yaga's face twitched under his scraggly beard. He glanced down at the frog doll in his hands like he had forgotten he was holding it.

With an audible gulp, he slammed the toy down on the teacher's desk hard enough to make everything rattle.

"I was just, uh, bringing a message from the main office!" Yaga spluttered, coughing loudly in embarrassment

He cleared his throat loudly. "Frankly, I think you two cause too much trouble around here," he said, fixing Gojo and Geto with a stern glare.

Gojo just smiled innocently as always. Geto gave a polite bow. "Apologies, new Principal~."

Yaga frowned, unconvinced. "Your mission this time has two goals. First, The Star Plasma Vessel- the one compatible with Tengen-Sama, You are to escort her and.... erase her.."

Geto: "Huh.. is becoming a new principal getting in your head Sensei?"

"Hmm... Is this about renewing Tengen Sama's technique?" Gojo said looking like he was in deep contemplation.

"Oh! You are the correct Satoru!" Yaga replied and Geto looked at Gojo in disbelief and said, "Oi, how come you became this intelligent huh? you are the Satoru we know right?"

"Oh, come on he told us that the girl was some plasma shit and all, that wasn't that intelligent guess " Gojo retorted.

Yaga let out a strategic cough, "Now, Now you two, listen here. The 2nd mission is to save her from two groups- The Curse user group Q and The Star Religious group.... blah.. blah.. blap... blah"

Yaga explained the details of the task, and Shoko grew bored of listening.

'Umm...' She turned to Gojo, who was still smiling blithely. Reaching over, she gently took his distinctive black glasses from his face.

Gojo seemed unbothered, closing his now-bare eyes. Shoko examined the frames curiously as Yaga droned on.

Geto watched her with a small private smile, always finding humor in her antics.

After a few minutes, Yaga wound down his instructions and dismissed them to prepare.

As they headed for the door, Gojo held out a hand expectantly.

"Oh, umm" Shoko placed the glasses back where they belonged with an apologetic pat on his head.

As Gojo and Geto walked through the Jujutsu High courtyard, they discussed the mission briefing from Yaga.

'Hmm... they did that huh.. I thought Yaga would send at least Suguru there..' Gojo thought and took out two cans from the vending machine.

"Can you believe Group Q broke into the vessel's home and kidnapped her?" Gojo said, taking a sip from his juice can. "So unprofessional."

Geto nodded. "It happened a couple of days ago, 2 days to be exact according to Yaga Sensei. They're holding her at their old hideout on the outskirts of town."

He took a drink of his own juice. "Group Q has always been a bit unhinged. Capturing a vessel alive is uncommon, they should usually just kill her."

"Dismantling that hideout and sending Group Q a message is the second thing obviously. Rescuing the girl is our main priority" Suguru remarked with a sense of determination.

Violence didn't bother him as much as it did some. However allowing harm to common non-sorcerors went against his principles. They had to be protected at all costs.
