The group returned after convincing the Chens about their ability to kill Monsters and came back down stream with a both.

The woman went to the edge of the boat and the energy of her Star Galaxy seeped out as a Domain of Ice appeared on the river water slowly turned the water on top of the river to ice.

Cao Guang compared her magic to Mu Ningxue's in the future and found Mu Ningxue was miles better than her. She did the same with an Intermediate level cultivation and in the sea not in a river. She didn't have a Soul grade seed then either.

Mu Yinfeng's talent aptly named Ice Phoenix, allowed her to form ice phoenixes to attack or encase her in a protective shell, it wasn't as impressive as her Super level form of the talent.

The group slowly stepped on the ice and found it to be quite sturdy, they quickly dispersed to take their positions.

Gao Xuan was in charge of protecting Mu Yinfeng and Du Ling, it turned out that she was the healing mage on the team. Jiang Shaojun stayed back to help placate or disperse any monster that made their way here, he was a Psychic mage just like his sister.

Song Xia and the rest of the group landed on the island and saw Murkwater Frogs make their way over to deal with them.

"We should see who kills most of these Frogs" Zu Yuanjun made a suggestion.

" Childish" Zhong Yuan commented.

" Focus and don't let a lot of these beasts get past you" Song Xia chided as she made her spell.

Li Kai was a poison mage, Zu Yuanjun used the famed Curse element of the Zu, Zhong Yuan was a Plant primary and Guan Chen was a Wind mage.

" The Warriors are coming the commander might not be far behind let me go up front" Cao Guang took the forward most position among them. He didn't leave the group as he didn't want the Commander to ambush these guys.

Commander level monsters were more than capable of using such tactics, their intelligence shouldn't be underestimated.

Besides Cao Guang had nothing to loose of all the Warriors were eliminated, he would progress calmly to fight the Commander.

The Commander on the other hand would probably have a bottom line corresponding to this species' reproductive speed.

The group was dealing with intermediate spells now and the speed of killing monsters had slowed down severely for everyone except Cao Guang, Song Xia and Zhao Jing.

A guard knocked at the embellished room and spoke up.

" Patriarch a group of mages traveled on a boat given by the Chens and made their way to the island. One of the female mages froze the water surrounding the island to prevent the Murkwater Frogs from gaining an advantage. They seem to be capable mages".

" Were they hired by then Chen family?"

The door opened and a middle aged man with a long beard stepped out. There were signs of greying on the man's hair.

" We are currently unsure of it"

" Those of the Shi family are useless" said Gong Shi " tell their patriarch Shi Feng to deal with these mages since they failed the task, tell him if the Chens recover the island the Shi and Gong families will have no place in Fuzhou they will eradicate us step by step, we have to be decisive now."
