Chapter 137: Meeting the Teammates

Cao Guang went to Imperial Capital after spending some time with Zhan Kong in Bo, Mo Fan and others were still a bit too far from the awakening magic stage, Cao Guang was in no hurry himself and was willing to just make contact now.

After he reached Imperial Capital he went straight to Imperial College where the individual competition was now taking place to determine the other members of the national team.

Cao Guang had heard from Gao Xuan that another person had qualified directly like him one Mu Yinfeng, Cao Guang wondered if she was the same person he knew about.

As he expected it was Song Xia and Gao Xuan who qualified from the side of the military and Song Xia was indeed going to be the captain but there was a chance he would be the vice captain, all of that depended on the chief instructor. Cao Guang was keen to know which old fossil was going to be theirs.

Everyone wouldn't be getting together until the full team was assembled, besides he and Mu Yinfeng could be challenged by substitutes. The individual competition was going to last a few more days and Cao Guang was waiting for the Little Tora pendant to finish digesting the Eternal Wicked Lotus.

The item still wasn't completely digested, when Cao Guang visited it's Inner world he could see the Nether River was now an actual River and far richer in energy like one would expect from a Star Galaxy grade magic tool. A few Soul Remnants floated above the river like drones.

Cao Guang was going to focus on the Advanced spell of the Summoning element in his remaining time. With the magic accelerator's and Little Tora pendant help he could control 49 stars on a good day. He was just one more Star Pattern away from casting the spell now. Fenrir was quite busy now that he had conquered Yellow Creek Mountain, he spent his time forming a pack of his own. He was still only a Lesser Commander so Cao Guang didn't expect a crazy large pack of the bat.

Cao Guang also read some old texts on magic about break throughs and elements, it was written by a scholar in Rome, he claimed that the significance of Li Fan flower or the Nasca lines weren't just a resource to improve the strength of an element but part of a ritual to break through to the forbidden level.

Back in the days, it wasn't known that Earth Pistil could allow a break through to the Forbidden level, they had formed their own ways to break through.

Three days went away in the blink of an eye, and the entire team selection was completed, they were asked to make their way to a training room to meet the advisors and other members.

Cao Guang went to the training room and met up with his friends and talked out many things as people slowly turned up. He counted about eighteen students and two old people Dean Song He and an old woman he didn't recognise.

Cao Guang was suprised to the final person to enter the room as he recognised the middle aged man as the Super level Lightning mage of the Lightning institute when he first joined Lin Mu.

" Don't tell me, you are the chief advisor for the team" Cao Guang joked upon seeing the man.

" Yes Cao Guang that would be me, now listen up before we set out to define the team and substitutes, the substitutes still have the opportunity to challenge both Cao Guang here and Mu Yinfeng so are there any challengers?"

A brown haired woman in standard battle outfit stepped out from rest and spoke " Advisor I'd like to challenge Cao Guang", she looked around to find the person that Lin Mu called Cao Guang and spotted him.

" It seems my prestige is bad".

" Then everyone stand back and make way for the two of them" Lin Mu made space for a battle and began officiating the fight. There wasn't a need for barriers or anything everyone here was a mage and as long the participants weren't far stronger than them they only needed to stand a few paces back.

Cao Guang made his way to area demarcated by Lin Mu and opposite stood a woman named Dongfang Qing, she was a member of the Dongfang family of Shanghai but she had attended Imperial College instead.

Cao Guang was actually surprised to see that Pearl Institute had outperformed Imperial College so much, he, Zhao Jing, Mu Hua and Lu Zhangtian had made it to the team but the lack of a smirk on the latter two said they were only substitutes.
