Chapter 136: The Information Barrier

Mage information was strictly controlled, there were many reasons for it pure and worse. It had initially started out as a safety mechanism to prevent below 16 year old from trying out their hand in magic and progressed to become a weapon to control.

Information of the rank above you was available to every mage through various sources like Schools, Hunter Union and so on. As long as you could prove you identity as an intermediate mage you could get information on the Advanced level.

Yet there were no limits on them about this information, this created a problem for the students of public schools with little to no background as their teachers were limited Intermediate mages who only held some information about the Advanced level and nothing higher.

Some students were suprised to hear that the Light element actually had the strongest single target Super spell.

" Now let's move on to the Earth element, the basic spell is a movement spell and that's quite flexible and will be easily available to you if you can advance, the intermediate spell with defence as it's core, the advanced spell is a Control type spell and as for the Super spell it's uses are only limited by mages themselves"

Cao Guang then went on to explain each element as well as he could and even illiterates like Mo Fan listened when he spoke.

" We need to address a few more things as we go one is power and the second is control. All mages have the same spells and same control over their elements until the advanced level.

All mages have the same control over spells, a peak Advanced mage can alter the spells to a degree and make a control type spell seem like a defensive spell or so on. As for any Super mage they can use their spells like words they can write poems, novels or whatever their control and strength let's them.

Now there are a few exceptions, one if you have an innate talent you can perhaps bypass these limits two is a soul seeds.

soul seeds have two types Spirit grade and Soul grade seeds. A Soul grade seed in particular can improve your control by miles.

Like I said evey spell has the same power unles they are boosted by again soul seeds, they can also improve the strength of your spells."

The attention of the class was entirely on Cao Guang as he went on about this and then he stopped.

"Most things I told you about are too far from you so let's talk about some things that aren't."

Cao Guang then shared some knowledge any mage could use, demon seeking powder, how to find and avoid demons in wilderness and so on. This was afterall the main point as the rest were too far from these kids. He wanted to have their attention and motivate them with his words.

Cao Guang finished with Xue Musheng's class by noon and went to the next class to do the same.

During the lunch hour he went to the roof because he was sure to find the person he wanted there, Mo Fan.

The guy was going to goof around with Zhang Xiahou when Cao Guang came up. They had been motivated by Cao Guang's words.

Cao Guang went up to Mo Fan and said we need to talk. He held out his Little Tora pendant as he moved towards the side.

" That pendant of yours is special " Cao Guang explained the basic structure of its function to Mo Fan.

"Don't reject me out of pride we will be in the same organisation in the future, in fact you might even be it's leader"

Cao Guang gave him his number and left the rooftop, leaving an annoyed and stunned Mo Fan.

He had obviously asked for more details but Cao Guang had just rejected him. How could Cao Guang give him a straightforward answer he had grown in Pang Lai's tough love school.

He only needed to make a direct connection with Mo Fan, as for the other talented students, the task of helping them could be delegated to Lin Feng.

Cao Guang made his speech to every freshman class before leaving to meet an old friend and teacher.

The snow peak military base remained the same and he met Zhan Kong in the Commander's office and felt nothing much from the man.

" You must be close to limit of the Advanced level military instructor".
