The same applied for Cao Guang, he occupied the position of Summouner and unless Dongfang Qing could beat him or exceed the skill of the Wind primary she didn't have much chance of being on the national team.

It wasn't ideal especially when the Void Mantis was such a rare pet, in fact Dongfang Qing had other ideas as well, but everything would depend on the result of this battle ofr her.

Cao Guang was not an altruistic person, he just did what he wanted, if he felt like helping someone he helped them or vice versa.

Cao Guang focused himself as the Domain of Lightning Bliss fell on the Void Mantis and Dongfang Qing supressing them completely.

" That's a Soul grade seed with a Domain, so he is in the Advanced level already" someone from the group exclaimed.

" No that doesn't make sense, Lightning and Space are his secondary elements and his talent is Dual Innate elements, how is his lightning already in the Advanced level." no one was more stumped than Zhao Jing, his primary was lightning and he hadn't broken through yet.

Dongfang Qing promptly conceded the match and Cao Guang kept the position on the team without casting a spell. Anyone could see that Lightning Bliss was imperious even if he used an intermediate spell it would be strengthened six times by his Soul seed.

The teammates and the substitutes quickly reevaluated the strength of Cao Guang as they realised lightning was only one of his secondary elements.

Lin Mu looked at Cao Guang's file again before he spoke " Cao Guang will the team's vice captain and Song Xia over there is the Captain"

" But shouldn't the vice captain also be from the military?" one of the team members asked.

" Cao Guang is from the military, he is on a training mission in Pearl Institute" Lin Mu spoke out words even he didn't believe, to everyone's eyes since they had three good candidates the military used a loophole to put everyone on the team.

" Thankyou for the battle" Dongfang Qing made a gesture before returning to the group. She would go on to remain on the team for resources and then take part in the Hunter competition as well, but that was in the future.

" Now, Song Xia, Gao Xuan, Cao Guang, Zhao Jing, Mu Yinfeng, Zhong Yuan, Guan Chen, Li Kai, Jiang Shaojun, Du Ling , Zu Yuanjun, the eleven of you will be the team starting out. Dongfang Qing, Mu Hua, Lu Zhangtian, Xu Bao, Lu Xiaozue, Fang Chen will be the substitutes, you will be under the care of Instructor Xu, for the National Hall in Shanghai"

Lin Mu would go on to introduce the promotion and relegations and the distribution of resources which would be a task of the Captain and the fact that their identities were frozen and their first test was to make it to Japan for the battlefield and Challenging their national hall.

It was a usual move pulled by almost all nations, it was ensure the students did not take the easy way out. The team would be dropped to a third tier city somewhere and had to figure out the rest.
