Chapter 116: Ding City

Cao Guang was pondering what was the next step for his new elements he had the money to equip them with a Spirit grade seed each, but he was slowly approaching a situation where Spirit grade seeds were no longer enough.

But own his own he wasn't strong enough to go without one either. He had two Soul grade seeds Calamity Fire and Crimson Death combined with his Prairie Flames they could reach the peak of a Greater Heaven seed.

Only they both belonged to Little Flame Belle and he couldn't use them either. His Summoning element was still the strongest with its Heaven grade seed. Without such a thing he wasn't confident to let the Flame Belle evolve as the contract limit would hold her back.

He needed new Soul grade seeds soon, if he could reach the next tier in the Fire element and acquire a new Soul grade seed he should be more than unbeatable at the World College tournament with the Flame Belle he probably already was, that was pretty much his longer term goal.

He finally drew out a plan in his mind, he would bring the Light element to the Advanced level first and therefore he would equip Earth element with a Spirit grade seed for now.

He went on the market and bought a top notch Spirit seed with a special effect, it was slightly better than Lightning Order even. It was called Flowing Mud. It was from the same type possess by Zhang Xiahou early in the canon.

Like Li Man explained it was among the best Spirit grade seeds and had the special effect of creating a small bog of 25 metre radius around the caster that would slow the down opponent and insert a water element poison into their bodies.

It was the perfect soul seed for him at this stage. But it had also brought his savings down to 65 million. If it weren't for the fact it was of the Earth element it might have costed more.

Cao Guang decided to take a trip to Ding City ahead of time, he had some plans to spend a lot of time there. Ding City right now was just a military base, it hadn't become a new Elemental Capital nor was it anywhere near that.

Simply speaking it was a military town helmed by an Advanced mage and Hunter used it as a resting point and that was it. Just an another insignificant town on the map.

It was five hundred kilometres north-north east of Lhasa, the greatest Earth elemental capital in the Eastern Hemisphere. The Potala Palace and the Sacred Hall mages were famous around the world.

Cao Guang knew of Ding Incredible potential and wanted to make use of it now. Besides the place was great for cultivating the Earth element.

He could also find a rare resource there called Reciever/ Fundamental Crystals. It was a core component of what made the Little Tora pendant tick as well.

The reason he was here was to search for these things, he knew where to find them but the difficulty of finding these increased exponentially as the number of people in Ding City increases in the future.

As for now they were unaware of the Underground Cavern filled an elemental species called Mud Morphing Monsters.

Mud Morphing Monsters had no interaction with humans, they preferred to live simply in the Dongting Cave where the presence of Earth was strong.

They only came out in the future when they sensed the immense Elemental energy in the barrier core they were setting up. They also had the ability to absorb mages and use them as a live power source and grow stronger.

The more mages they absorbed the stronger they got, at the same time they had a Reciever Crystal within from birth. The better the quality of Crystal they held more humans they could absorb and grow stronger. But still they were yet to be discovered because the Dongting Caves were yet to be completely explored.

The cave system was enormous and was large enough to house a city. They also held a common monster called Rock Monster. Physically they looked the same as Mud Morphing Monsters except for Reciever Crystals and their absorbtion ability.

They followed a straightforward path of cultivation, in essence Mud Morphing Monsters were an elemental species like the Flame Belles and Rock Monsters were ordinary demon beasts. They had their flaws and strengths.

Mud Morphing Monsters could grow very strong very fast by absorbing human mages but when the stopped absorbing they would loose powers in a short while. But the strength of the Rock Monsters were more permanent.
