Tinkering with my Sorcery

After that little trip not much happened as we all went back home and checked on the kids. They were as cute as usual and had some odd spurts of power every now and again that i found absolutely hilarious, especially when it ended with Jean getting covered in small amounts of water from Atheria.

Most of my wives left and went about their holiday as they decided to spread out among the many houses we had across the world. It was at this moment I decided to mess with a part of my powers I hadn't used in a while, my sorcery.

Sparkling golden yellow light emerged from my hands as a portal easily formed. From that normal portal i changed its shape, malformed it, shrunk it and even added rotation. I had basically just made a highly powered portal shuriken. Moving off of that I quickly began to play with the alchemy of the sorcery system and created myself a glass to make infinite beer from... It wasn't really infinite as it was based on energy conversion between eldritch energies and matter, but i digress. From there i morphed and changed the glass to become crystal-like and sharp then from that into a perfect sphere. 

This power was probably more useful than i ever gave it credit for but unfortunately I got side-tracked by other skills and tasks in Kamar-Taj and life. My kids were all watching me in rapt attention, as if they were naturally inclined towards what I was doing. It was really cute so i decided to continue to test out the magic.

I pulled on some abstract dimensions and changed the gravity of the glass and then bombarded the glass with exotic particles from the positive plane of existence, making it glow lightly. I threw it up into the air and watched as all of my children followed the ball of glass upwards until it stopped in mid-air and started to spin. Deciding to entertain them a little more I added some small harmless sparks, their faces going slack and fascinated with the spectacle. They were just too damn cute!

That was when I had the idea to use some magics from different systems together. I pulled on my mana and started to pull on the idea of DND magic and then modified it to work with sorcery, the combination being scary as a being of pure darkness emerged and knelt. It was a massive eight foot tall creature of shadow with red for eyes and a massive sword on its back. It seemed like something from the Shadowfel in DND, I instantly de-summoned it but found that my kids weren't in the least bit worried. It was odd but I decided to chalk it up to the naivety of small children.

The spells I had used were the dimensional pulling of sorcery and an Abjuration spell from DND, it wasn't even a powerful spell but seemed to be boosted by the pure dimensional power that came from my ability. The odd thing is why it came out as a shadowy being... Maybe it was the soul of a dead hero or something? I would probably never know and didn't particularly care enough. The one thing it did show me was that this is definitely too dangerous to be messing with when my kids were in the room. That being said I quickly whisked myself away to Kamar-Taj where I soon began to experiment in Yao's training yard.

I didn't notice at first but Harry, Hermione and Yao were just coming into the yard as they saw me make a fireball from DND and then boost it with my eldritch swords, creating independent fireballs that cut, sliced and then exploded. Thinking further down this line of thought I decided to adjust the speed of the spell by adding the Haste spell at the same time and making it affect the swords as separate entities. Most of what i was doing was impossible in DND but honestly I cared little for suppressions or rules at this point... I could probably hold Mystra over my knee and spank her if I wanted to. The next volley of the new spell was devastating to the open sections of the training field as they were decimated in an explosion of cuts, slashes and fire. Deep cracks could be seen running through the ground as there were also craters. 

"WHOA! COOL!" (Hermione)

"Wizard...!" (Harry)

I snapped out of my trance and looked over at them, including Yao who was looking at me like I was a monster made manifest. If she didn't know my powers before she knew now. Hermione and Harry ran over to me as they jumped up and down asking if they could learn what I just did. I laughed at their eagerness.

"Possibly, but it would take over 100 years of learning from a mage that doesn't even exist within this multiverse."

"Aww... I really wanted that spell as well, it looked really cool!" (Harry)

" I bet i could do it in a day!" (Hermione)

'Oh no, she is becoming arrogant!' I looked at Yao to find her with her eyes closed and a small, and i mean a miniscule, amount of frustration dancing along her face.

"Hermione, want me to show you a magic you will probably never be able to do?"

"Uhuh, sure."

My face went completed stern and emotionless as my eyes blazed in golden light, hundreds of portals forming around me as small blackholes were summoned around them. 

She paled at just that but I wasn't even finished.

I called lightning from the sky to rain down into the blackhole, charging another spell that I was calling 'The Great Flood', in a call back to the bible. Lightning swirls of energy so dense that it could blow this planet away with a mere puff of its power slipping out of my control soon were added onto the blackholes as my Reality Domain contained all of it and kept it isolated in another pocket dimension that was just slightly out of phase, enough to be seen but not effect reality.

"You see, Hermione, you are not a god nor are you all powerful... Neither am I, so please do continue your studies."

I started to consume all of the magic i just expended, easily gaining all of my mana back and satisfying my Gluttony Sin. With that done i descended and smiled towards Yao who had a small grin on her face.

"Yes listen to your senior student. Just because one has great power, skill and talent does not make them all powerful. One must also practice wisdom, learning, patience and spiritual calmness."

"Yes master..." (Hermione)

"That was also really cool! What could it have done if i wasn't trapped behind that thin grey stuff?"

I blanched at him a little as no one other than me and possibly Yao could comprehend magic enough to see it... Meaning he had some natural propensity towards phasing, dimensions and extra-terrestrial spaces. I glanced at Yao and she nodded towards me.

"Well, Harry, it could have destroyed the entire planet in one shot."

Hermione and Harry gulped as Yao looked at me with a deadpan expression. It kind of hurt to be looked at like that by your teacher...

"P-please don't show off again Emelia..." (Harry and Hermione)

"Sure... Anyway, sorry to intrude I thought I'd just test some magical merges."

"There is no issue Emelia, I have stated before that you are a part of Kamar-Taj and can use it as you wish." (Yao)

"Thank you."

Like that i spent the rest of the day at the Kamar-Taj messing with my magic and even testing the tripling of magic via Overlord magic and then testing it with DND magic and sorcery. The only one I haven't tested yet being The One Power.
