Researching and Development

After that day I spent some considerable time with my family, my kids and wives loving every moment of attention. Fury visited several times, giving some more gifts and playing with the children. I took him aside one day and asked him of Shield and the power of it by now. He told me very quickly about the scope of their power.

Shield had changed massively, becoming a sort of global police force for a lack of better words. There were many people from many walks of life that worked within the organisation, this included X-men members, Avengers Members and the general High Humans. Shield had been able to create hundreds of Flying carriers, the design being very sophisticated and futuristic, with an easy reassembling they could be outfitted to become space vessels.

There were around half a million members of Shield and this number was increasing little by little as people with great skill were found and brought into the fold. It was good that they were expanding and becoming better at stopping crime and war. I kept him for a little longer, asking him about himself and how everyone is, he was a tad confused at first but soon went on to talk about how he needs to retire and that he had been getting more and more work of late... I laughed, the man now had several thousand years of lifespan and he complain about his age.

I sent him off to play with the children again, my wives joining in here and there. The cackles and laughs of my children painted the entire apartment in their happiness. Pain flared from my arm every now and then, as if a constant reminder of my failure. Gritting my teeth I put on a bright smile and entered into the room, wanting to go and let my children have fun.

It had been a week since the return of our forces. The Aquiliferi Aeterni had taken up places within my personal guard, hey now stood vigil over my apartment, the control tower of Atlantis and the grounds of Government Buildings. All of them had started training for their new powers, Cyclops, Storm, Steve, Hawkeye and Natasha being their trainers. 

This was one of the changes, the others being more aligned with the civilian expansion into space. It had happened, the civilian market had gotten access to space travel and new industries were popping up everywhere. Meeting with Tony I broached the subject of his industry plans, he was hesitant at first but shrugged after a while, it seemed Stark Industries was expanding into the mining industry. They were outfitting spaceships with mining equipment and various technological devices to contain, secure and vault the materials found in asteroids. Amongst that, his ships had access to wormhole travel, something he was able to figure out thanks to his studious analysation of the Star Gate technology. I advised him not to go to other star systems yet but his eyes just seemed to gleam brighter. Shaking my head I handed him the blueprints for a technology that could communicate with the military, a new policy I was intending to implement to ensure the safety of our civilian ships if they decided to do something stupid. Saying goodbye to him and Pepper, my visit short and rather boring, I ported myself to the research department of the Military.

From here I took a tour of our latest weaponry. There were a multitude of powerful equipment and tech. From miniature nuclear devices to Anti-matter warheads, there was a range of large scale weaponry. New designs for personnel armour, some with automated robotic Gatling guns on the shoulders, others with jet pack options that allowed for quick vertical movement and horizontal acceleration. For weaponry, there were variations on Rail Guns, Plasma Cannons and rifles, Graviton Armaments, Power swords and knives... The list went on. None of what I saw however, was any good against most of the threats in Warhammer, helpful, yes... Battle winning? No. I continued to walk as the research became thinner and thinner, almost no new concepts were now being worked on within this section of the research department, the people working on these projects being the less experienced. Annoyance flashed through me but I held my emotions in check as I reached the end of the room. 'I need to expand the research departments...'

The rest of the week was fairly similar, my look for new ideas and concepts becoming hard to find... This is where I retreated into 'fiction'. Warframe was a wonderful idea to gain technology, manpower and maybe some relationships. I didn't want to leave home yet however, there was much to do and it was time for the use of the whitehole.

It was the first day of a new week, I was standing within my research lab and watching on as the IAI churned matter into large ships, vessels of massive size and fire power. I had supplied schematics for my original vessels and given it to the IAI to mess with and work with. It had come up with thousands of variations and had begun to create one of each variation. The first was a capital vessel, equivalent in size to a Warhammer Imperium Battleship, twenty Kilometres long and robust. The shape of it had changed from the star pattern to a more cylindrical design with various protrusions and elements that expanded outwards from the general cylindrical shape of the hull. The weaponry was still at the same level of technology that my other ships were but on a much larger scale with a much more dense defensive system, offensive system and emergency system.

The design also included AI technology, all the way throughout it. Originally I wanted to skip the AI tech due to the nature of the Imperium, but I was way past that... I didn't care, i would do what was needed and if AI could give me an edge to obliterate my enemies, I'd use it. The good part of my AI is that I included my magic within them and made them immune to warp effects, including the Shadow in the Warp from the Tyranids, something I could do now that I was outside of their multiverse. The IAI, understanding my recent propensity to say fuck you to the cares of the people in Warhammer, began to create various ships and designs that used different forms of AI.

Taking the new purchases, I transmitted the blueprints and details of the weaponry into the IAI and got it to make these weapons and possibly experiment with their making. The IAI was excited, beyond measure, that she would be able to mess with such technology. The newer ships began to form new weaponry, large missile batteries that were completely obsidian in colouration but with small bright blue tips, a merge of the Self Replicating Dark matter warheads and the Antimatter that I had given via my domains. This ship was massive, hundreds of Kilometres long. It was pure Black and White, shaped like a massive Sword, taking inspiration off of the Asgardian Ship designs in Star Gate. Massive Graviton thrusters adorned the backs and sides of the ship, the lights coming off of them being a dark purple in colour. Various cannon batteries lay strewn across the various sides of the hull as large missile launch sites sat adjacent to hangers meant for space fighters. The front of the ship was shaped almost like a screw's point, large 'bladed' sections of Inneutron and Uru Metal protruding out, like a ram from ancient times but more cutting.

Wisps of dark purple energy emitted from the shielding that was displayed, dark matter swirling within the shield, providing a buffer of sorts between the mystical and physical. As soon as i saw it, i knew this would be my new capital ship. The entire ships shone in power and emitted such a deep aura of dominance that I had the urge to name it.

"I name you..." My words billowed and echoed outwards, the tone becoming lined in pure power, Primordial Power. "The Dark Justiciar!"
