Chapter 7: Naja’s happiness

"I'm glad aunt Iren will be defending you, I mean it's the least she could do right now, as she said I think she is right, you shouldn't divorce Neil so easily, he did not hesitate to play with your feelings, he has to feel the pain too." Caitlyn said.

Naja was done in her room, she soon joined Caitlyn and Mariah in the living room. "Hey girls I'm back we can continue with our discussion,"

"Aunt Iren called, informing me that she took a bus for the city and she will be paying a visit to madame Jane," Mariah said.

"You don't mean that, that's great of her I knew she was going to present herself in front of that useless Jane, some senses need to be installed in her head,"

"You calling a woman capable of giving birth to a lady as old as you useless, common this is too harsh," Mariah said coldly.

"It's not harsh, she deserves more than that, besides if she wasn't useless she would not have thrown you out of the house in that manner, if I meet her anytime I swear I won't be nice to her you can believe me."

Though Naja was a friendly and kind type, she never loved when her friends or anyone close to her was threatened, this war started on the day Jane flung Mariah out of the house. Given that she had a tied schedule, she could not walk up to Jane's villa so she could pour out her mind, neither had Neil been picking up her calls. When she heard aunt Mariah was on her way to the city she felt so relieved that all she did at that moment, was take a glass of liquor. Caitlyn and Mariah seeing her serving herself were kind of confused, they knew Naja only consumed alcohol when she was celebrating an event. "What calls for celebration this cold night?" Caitlyn asked.

"I can't wait to receive aunt Iren, she needs a special gift from me," Naja said with so much joy.

At the Easton's villa, Neil was back from work and was so tired, he climbed upstairs, entered his room and only to find out that his new chick was angry after him, he asked why she was angry, for an instant he thought someone from the house got her worried, she replied saying no. "Then what's going on, please talk to me, you know I don't like seeing you say something like this so we can get to the root of the problem." Neil said. For some seconds, Khloe said nothing, she kept looking into Neil's eyes and when she could no longer keep it to herself, she voiced out what had been disturbing her all day long. "You really want to know what is going on?" Khloe asked.

"Yes please,"

"Why aren't you divorced yet, you promised to divorce Mariah for my sake, so now why aren't you divorced? Or are you playing games with me?" Khloe asked furiously.

"That's not what is going on right now, I have a little issue with the divorce papers because Mariah refused to sign them even after I told her I was no longer interested in him, I don't want you to get angry I promise to do everything to get the divorced papers signed."

"You better do and be fast about that and listen to me attentively, I won't have you any way close to my unborn child if you are still married to Mariah," Khloe said while pointing a finger at Neil.

"Please it hasn't come to this, I'll be fast about the divorce papers."

"Hey I don't care about it, a warning to the wise is sufficient, right now I'll like to get to bed, the baby needs to have a nice night." Khloe said as she turned towards the wall, meaning the end of the discussion.

Khloe had finally found how to make Neil hearst up with the divorce papers, taking Jane's advice wasn't going to be beneficial to her as at any given time she could lose her place in the villa, she had to secure her place as Neil's wife before her secret was revealed. She knew using the unborn child as an excuse was gonna push Neil out of his comfort zone, Neil had long wanted to be a dad and he was about to lose this opportunity just because Mariah refused to sign the divorce papers, he knew he had to pressurize his lawyer. It was 10:00 PM already and at that hour he had no right to make a call regarding work but he had to because his paternity was threatened. Comry, who was about to go to bed, received a call from Neil, his boss. He knew he wanted to warn him regarding the divorce papers. "Oops, my boss is calling and I don't know what to tell him right now, how do I tell him that have not been able to present myself at madame Mariah's residence since then," he said. Though he was in fear he had no choice than to reply to his call, he knew if he refused to pick up his calls he could likely get fired as last time. He almost got fired two years ago when he received a call from Neil who needed him to do something before he arrived at work, he ignored the calm because he knew it wasn't in Neil's right to call him at that hour, the next morning when he arrived his office he noticed his locks were changed and when he asked his colleagues, they told him the information was passed out by Mr. Neil. Not knowing what to do, he rushed demanding for help through Mariah who was the one who introduced him to her husband, Mariah pleaded on his behalf, that was when Neil accepted and gave him another chance, he warned him saying such was never going to repeat itself or else he was gonna lose his job. Seeing his boss call at that hour, he remembered what happened that day at work and he immediately answered the call. "Greetings Sir," he said in fear.

"Listen to me carefully, you have just one weak to produce a result concerning the divorce, or else you can forget about your job." Neil said fiercely.

"But Sir, ...…." Before Comry could complete his phrase, Neil declined the call. "What I'm I going to do now, he gave me two weeks to get this case done and now he calls to inform me I got just one week left, I'm so confused now," Comry voiced out in panic.
