First Day

And there it came, the first day of school has arrived. It was bittersweet for me, as I hated going to school in my old lie, nor in this one.

I also loved Pokemon and anything related to it, so it was a tough choice for me. When the time came though, I forced myself out of bed and woke up Grant. We both did our morning routine, got fully dressed, and rushed to our respective classes.

The classes that were offered at Lumiose Trainer School were quite diverse. It was supposed to prep you in the pursuit of becoming a trainer.

The first class I had, which I signed up for, was Pokemon Herbs,Beries and Medicine.

In this class, we learn about the large variety of berries that existed in the world of Pokemon. They all had various side effects to cure alignments and flavors for certain types of Pokemon.

One would know this if they wanted to be an exceptional trainer. A happy Pokemon would want to train more, so you need you to learn how to treat them in the wild.

You would also need to learn to cure aliments in the wild if you don't have any artificial potions.

I studied this back home at Aquacorde. We didn't have a library in our small town but I studied online. I was more into studying than my old life, Pokemon was way more interesting.

Grant was not in this class, but he will be in my next one, as the next one was Pokemon Battle Tactics.

This class will teach you statagies you can use in battle, categorizing them by Pokemon types. It was the one I was most exited for, and I wasn't the only one.

It was the most respected class here, and most of it was who was teaching it.

I walked in the class, and scanned around. I saw Grant at the back in the class. He noticed me too and waved, before signalling me to a desk right next to him.

I got to the seat and sat down. I then scanned the room again, this time at the amount of in fluxing students walking through the door.

It was pretty eye opening for me. I recognized a grand total of 2 students from the anime. Both of them pretty quite important.

There ws one boy , and one girl.

The boy student was Clemont was a short and skinny young boy with , gray eyes, and messy bright yellow hair with a lightning-bolt shaped tuft on top.bolt shaped tuft on top. It was the inventor that was Ash's companion, Clemont.

The female student was a tall and slender girl with very long creamy blonde hair tied in a big, thick, high fluffy ponytail. It was none other than the future Shalour City's pride and Gym Leader, Korrina.

Two, no 3 with Grant, future Gym Leaders in my class is insanity. This really was a talented class of trainers. This group of trainers, plus who our teacher is going to be, I predict this will be a fun class.

Talking about my teacher, he decided to finnaly show up. His stomps were loud, amplified by the get up he had on.

Who was our teacher? It was none other than the future Elite 4, the greatest Steel type specialist in Kalos, Wikstorm.

Wilkstorm was currently the co-owner of the famous Battle Chateau here in Kalos. He is also the winner of many tournaments, which was his key to fame. There has been talks and rumors o him opening up his own gym, but me with future knowledge knows that isn't true.

It was announced he would be teaching here in Lumiose. Apparently, in the interview that followed, he said he always had the love of teaching/guiding.

He was wearing his silver armor which was the iconic look or Wikstorm. His second most notable feature was the six pointed golden star on his forehead.

"Hello class. My name is Wikstorm and this is Pokemon Battle Tactics", Wikstorm shouted out to the whole class. The class in question hushed up the moment he talked. Wikstorm commanded respect, and the class gave him it.

"Today is a pre test, so listen up", Wikstorm said to the whole class.

And after that, Wilkstorm gave us the rundown of the "pretest" he had presented us with, which we would do for the rest of class.

He wanted to test our already existing battling skills, and the cool part was, we got to pick our opponent.

So basicly, there was this machine that will give each of us a rental Pokemon. The Pokemon species varied from a Lickitung all the way to a Pidgey

To even out the field for the naturally weaker Pokemon, the Pidgey in question would have strong moves while the Gastly would have decent moves.

We went outside, out on the campus which doubled as a battlefield for our activities in Pokemon Battle Tactics. We had in our hands, Poke Balls that were handed to us by the machine.

"Ok, now release your rental Pokemon", Our teacher Wikstorm instructed all of us.

Surges of lights shout across the campus, from the dozens of Poke Ball being released. There was tons of first stage Pokemon on the campus.

The Pokemon that was my rental Pokemon was Pansear, the fire type of the 3 Elemental Monkeys. Pretty decent Pokemon for a rental battle.

I noticed there was a paper tag in my Poke Ball, and soon everyone did too. I took my tag out of the ball and it read:

Species: Pansear

Ability: Blaze

Moves: Return, Acrobatics, Fire Punch, Will O Wisp( This is not the full moveset of Pansear, but you are not permitted to use anything but the ones presented to you).

Grant walked over to me. The rental Pokemon he received was Croagunk. Pretty cool pair of Pokemon we got for ourselves.

"I would face you Alain, but unfortunately, my Croagunk got Dry Skin as an ability" , Grant said to me chukling. Dry Skin made the Pokemon impervious to Water type moves but abdunatly weak by the Fire type moves.

I already had an idea of who I wanted to face. I walked throught the crowd of students and trainers alike, and saw her.

Walking up to her, I decided to start the convo. " Would you mind having a battle with me". It wasn't that awkward, since I was a student just like her, wanting a battle.

The girl I was talking to was Korrina. She had with her a Buneary. She responded to me, sratching her head. "Sure . I wasn't planning on facing anyone else".

(Ps: She's not the love interest)

We found enough space beore starting our battle.

"Pansear, start with Will O Wisp and burn the Bunneary", I commanbded my fire monkey. Pansear smiled at the request.

Pansear then proceeded to shoot a blue fireball, with the intention of smoldering the poor bunny. It connected, hitting Bunneary square in the stomach.

Buneary walked Will O Wisp off. The effects wont be noticed now but it will be later. Korrina then started to say her own command.

"Don't let that deter you! Use Water Pulse", Korrina said, before fashioning a smirk.

"Try your best to dodge", I shouted in response to that.

Bunearey put it's hand closed together, and a perfect spherical blue orb of water. Pansear stood at his tippy toes, ready to dodge.

Bunearey then threw the orb at Pansear, with the most force the bunny could muster. Pansear jumped out of the way of the Water Pulse, but that was not the end.

Once Water Pulse hit the ground, it made a wave of water, and Pansear was in the splash zone. He got hit and with a super effective move, Pansear was on its last leg.

I had to lock in. Pnasear was not inheritley bulky, so if it got hit another time, I would lose.

"Bunearey, follow it up with Quick Attack", Korrina shouted to Bunearey. Bunneary, already hyped from the frist hit, rushed over to Pansear.

"Pansear, use Fire Punch", I retorted.

Bunearey was about to hit Pansear, but the bunny recoiled in pain as flames engulf Bunnearey's body for a moment. Bunnearey's alliment acted up for a moment there.

Bunneary offguard, Pansear's right haand was shrouded with flames. The monkey slammed it's fist into the poor bunny.

"Follow up with Acrobatics", I said to the monkey.

Bunnerey launched in the air, Pansear's body became enguled in Flying type energy, which was light blue, jumps in the air.

The monkey hit Bunnerey straight out of the air, launching the bunny into the ground. When the dust settled, all there was a knocked out bunny.

Grant looking at me from afar, after winning his own battle smiled at this.

I smiled, before pumping my fist in the air, Pansear doing the same. My first Pokemon battle in the school and I won.

It's been a ggreat first day, and it will only get better.

Korrina walked up to me, pretty bummed out that she lost. " That was a great battle. Watch your back though, because next time, your going down".

I chuckled a bit. "Say, why don't you sit with me and my friend during lunch. We would love to have another face".

"Sure, why not. My roommate is a total bummer", She responded.

As for the rest of class, I met up with Grant with Korrina and we watched the other battles unfold, picking sides to win.
