Clemont

The next month at school was pretty chill.

As of right now, my grades have been pretty stellar. Lowest grade is in Pokemon Biology and it is 89.6%, a B Plus.

Plus my social life here has been pretty good. Since the first day, I have been sitting with Grant, the future Cyylage City Gym Leader, and Korrina, the future Gym Leader of Shalour City. We were all shaping out to be good friends, and that made me happy.

The only person I failed to be friends with though is Clemont, not like I asked and he declined but I have no way of befriending him.

In Pokemon Battle Tactics, he always just partners up with a person next to him. He was in the front, I was in the back.

Clemont was a kid who stayed in his dorm, and was overally pretty introverted. I heard rumors that he drove his former dormmate insane with all the gadgets he worked on. He transferred out of the dorm, and not a single person moved in after.

As another day of school continued, I went to the only other class Clemont is in, Pokemon Technology.

In this class, we learn about all the types of technology that shaped the Pokemon trainer world.

Stuff like Poke Balls, Tms(Technical Machines), and all sorts of stuff are heavily explained, in depth here. I wasn't struggling in this class, as I had a 94.2% in this class, an A in the letter scale.

Class was going like normal, until the teacher had some words regarding a project we were to be doing.

The project would be a week long, and it is one to be done with a partner. The people all around Clemont got their mood lifted, as they had a chance of partnering up with the prodigy. Usually in this class, we don't pick our teammates, we just team up with the people next to us.

The project included designing a concept of a thing that would shake the trainer world drastically more. We had to talk about the material that would be used, and the overall functionality of the concept.

This time though, we all got to pick our partners. The lottery for Clemont will be crazy, I predict. It was an easy A+, considering all the gadgets he had in his room.

" Clemont, since I know everyone is gunning for you, and I want everyone to do their fair share of work, I'll be partnering you up with the second best in the class, Alain. Alain , raise your hand", our teacher, Mr. Burkin said to Clemont and in the last part, me.

My eyes widened at this. I raised my hand in confusion, before equipping a smile. I guess having good grades does have it's perks, besides the obvious ones.

As the class dispersed trying to find their partner, Clemont walked up to me, completely nervous.

"I guess you're my workmate on this project. Hey, my name is Clemont, Alain", Clemont introduced himself to me. "We'll work on the project in my dorm, after all the classes".

I nodded, that being a good plan to me. "I'll see you there, Clemont. Looking forward to it even", I said smiling.

After all my other classes were done by 3:30, I took a detour from my dorm room and went towards the dorm number Clemont gave me.

After a few minutes of searching, I was finally there. I knocked on the door twice, and seconds later, Clemont opened the door.

"Right on time, Alain. Sorry if my rooms are a mess", Clemont said. I didn't know what he was talking about, until I walked.

There was tons of gadgets everywhere, all around the dorm since he didn't have a single roomate. I could see why someone would transer out of this dorm, it was so messy!

Besides that, Clemont cleared a spot in the center of the dorm for us to sit on the ground. I did what was intended with Clemont and we decided to work on our project.

We brainstormed for a few minutes, not coming up with ideas that would be worth the A+. Clemont's brain was blanking a lot, to which I just chalked up to nervousness

Throughout the whole next week, we began to work on the project.

We decided on a concept, a way to find certain types of Pokemon. Clemont really was a genius all right, as he helped immensely during this whole thing.

It was sort of like the DexNav but less specific. This concept we're working on only tracks one type, that usually being the Pokemon's greatest energy signature coming from it. Like a Beedrill's biggest energy signature is the Bug type.

Another feature of it tracks the amount of energy one Pokemon has inside of it, categorizing it between it with stars. The more energy it has, usually the higher level it is, which means it will have more stars on the system.

Clemont really liked the idea, so he decided to not stop at making the conept, but finishing the whole thing. He also wants me to help him do it, seeing as it was my concept too.

Also, throughout this whole week, me and Clemont became sort of friends. He sometimes sits with me , Korrina and Grant, usually to talk about the project. Korrina and Grant don't really mind his company at all.

We gave the concept to our teacher, and he absolutely loved it. We were given an A+ a few days . Even with the project done, I would come every other day to help Clemont out with what we liked to call the "PokeScanner".

Clemont and I haven't really had a talk about whether or not we were going to sell this stuff. It was more of a passion project to me and Clemont

The first part of the project was actually building the concept, sort of like a prototype to test out. Clemont covered most of the expenses as his dad owned the most known electrical goods store in Lumiose City.

A month into my school year, and I was already working on a project of a pretty revolutionary item. The school year was going well.
