Chapter 14 The Library

That entire night Beth couldn't sleep as her mind kept on wandering to that kiss. Believe it or not, but it was her first kiss and that damn prince had the guts to steal it.

She let out a frustrated sigh and stood up from her bed even though she was not ready to start the day.

A man's pained scream resounded in the pitch dark room with tears and sweat mixed with blood running down his face.

"I swear your majesty, I know nothing!"

"Still don't want to talk huh? Then I have no use for you." Ashton said as he gabbed a hold of his neck.

"Wait! The library. That's all I know, please spare me." The man pleaded and Ashton's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Pleasure doing business with you." And he separated the man's head from his body using just one hand.

"Take care of this mess." He said to Clinton who was two steps behind him. "And check out the library." He said and left the room.

Few Hours Later

Clinton went to the garden where he saw Ashton standing with a glass of wine in his hand.

"What did you find?" Ashton asked.

"Your majesty, the library was empty."

"Just as I thought. We'll be going back to the palace this night."

"But your majesty, we haven't found anything yet. And I was hoping to see my wife before we go."

"She can stay at the palace instead." Ashton said throwing the glass of wine away.

"Do you mean she can live there?" Clinton asked with sparkling eyes but his question was left unanswered as Ashton left, walking towards the building behind them.

At The Royal Palace Of Auxataria

A lady walked into the chamber of the King and Queen of Auxataria holding the arm of the man beside her.

"Mother, father." Greeted the lady with a curtsey. The lady was actually Mira, the first Princess of Auxataria and the man beside her was Vincent, the duke of Lilly Valley, a town in Auxataria.

"Mira." Queen Miranda gave her and Vincent a hug. "You missed your sister's wedding. Everleigh got married to Prince Ashton."

"So I heard, but forgive me mother. I had troubles standing up that day." Mira said looking at Vincent who gave her a playful wink.

"That's understandable dear." King Albert said. "Have some biscuits and tea."

"Thanks Your Highness." Vincent said and sat down with Mira next to him.
