The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

Previously On Percy Jackson: Tales Of Dunamis;

. . .

"Our uncles, the Elder Cyclopes and the Hundred-Handed ones," Dunamis started, "We could use their help in gaining weapons of unparalleled power."

"If I'm not mistaken, weren't they banished to Tartarus by Kronos?" Hera asked.

"Who fancies a prison break?" The youngest of all the gods replied.

Now:

"But first we must go and see mother," Hestia replied with a smile.

"Of course, she should be here soon," Dunamis spoke.

. . .

A lady of middle age was walking up a flowing stream with a bright smile, happiness was beaming of her in leaps and bounds. The birds would sing for her and the wind would part for her. She wore a silver chiton with golden highlights on the waist, no man would be able to resist her beautiful hourglass figure and

She had dark curly black hair that swept over her shoulders, eyes as green as emeralds and a smile as bright as the sun.

. . .

Her name was Rhea the Titaness of motherhood and fertility, consort of Kronos and mother of the gods.

She was on her way to the cave in which she gave birth to her youngest two children.

She heard from some nymphs that a group of five people including Dunamis and Zeus had arrived a few hours earlier. Rhea couldn't help but hope that the five mysterious people were her long lost children.

. . .

"I'm home," Rhea said with a hopeful smile.

She was met with shock, a welcomed shock. There they were standing in front of her. Her children she hadn't seen in a decade and more. She yearned for this moment, the time she could welcome them home . . . and now they stood in front of her each with a smile that her crumbling inside, tears threatening to flood through.

"Welcome home my beloved children." The Titaness of Motherhood spoke, sniffling her nose every now and then, trying to put on a brave facade for this special occasion.

. . .

She leapt towards her newly reunited children embracing them all in a strong hug fearing that if she were to let go they'd be snatched away from her again. They were her only hope, the only chance this world had of removing Kronos from the throne. This was the only way for everyone to be free, for everyone to live in peace and harmony, they were her brave children she couldn't feel any more proud.

. . .

After a few minutes of the comfortable bone-crushing hug, Dunamis took the chance to fill their mother in on what had transpired since they left for Mount. Orthys.

"So what will you do?" Rhea asked.

"We will go and seek the help of our uncles," Dunamis announced.

"The Elder Cyclopes and Hundred-Handed ones? But they're in Tartarus are you sure?" Rhea asked.

"Yes mother it's our only choice, we need weapons and they are the best blacksmiths in the world, look at Kronos's palace."

"It is pretty cool" Zeus admitted.

Rhea didn't want to let her children go down to Tartarus she feared they would be consumed by monsters down there, alas there was no other option she had to let them go. "Fine, but promise me you'll be safe."

"We will mother, I promise," Dunamis answered, easing his mother's worry.

"Fine it's settled we will go to Tartarus the place of all evil and darkness," Poseidon stated, eager for a journey.

Hades's dark eyes gleamed. The idea of descending into the most dangerous, vilest part of creation somehow appealed to him. "So we go down to Tartarus, and we bring back the Cyclopes and Hundred-Handed ones."

"Piece of Cake," said Hera. She knew about cake because Kronos had eaten lots of it. The crumbs and icing were always getting in her hair. "Let's go,"

"Tartarus here we come!" shouted Zeus.
