A new weapon

(-March 2, 2061/ 1:20 PM/ Current location: Forge Master Carmina's workshop-)

Mordred stands in front of them with the sun reflecting off the windows. They were mesmerized by what they saw. His figure and him holding the core of the sword reminiscent of the man they once served before. The windows opened by the blast of wind causing his long blonde hair to flutter.

without a doubt, he is his son.

What they regretted before flew off of the deepest crevices of their minds and given a blessing that is his kin.

[Mordred: What are you looking at?]

The entrancement wore off as soon as he questioned them. Charles regains control of his mind.

[Charles: How did you know it was here?]

Mordred showed the core to Charles and said.

[Mordred: This thing talked to me. It told me to go up here.]

Carmina placed her hand on her mouth.

[Carmina: Sentient weapons chooses its user, but for a fragment to choose it might as well be a Grand-class Sentient weapon.]

[Mordred: Can you make a different weapon out of this?]

[Carmina: I can. Only a temporary one though. If I reforge it then it would be an incomplete weapon. The weapon's true strength won't be as powerful as you'd expect.]

[Mordred: Please.]

[Carmina: Follow me again.]

Carmina took us to the back of the workshop. It's littered with every material that every blacksmith would want.

Orichalcum, Mithril, Anti-magic ores, and many more.

She opens a box containing an item.

[Carmina: Do you mind if I borrow the core for a little bit?]

[Mordred: I don't mind.]

Mordred gave the fragment to Carmina.

She proceeds to insert it into a slot of the glove. It was so finely attached to it that people would think that it merged.

Carmina presents it to Mordred.

[Carmina: Here, it's done. A Forge Master's Glove with the core of the sword.]

He wears it with curiosity, mixed with excitement.

[Mordred: What does it do?]

[Carmina: The core acts as a regulator. Give it a try. Create a clear image and add Magical energy into the glove.]

Mordred asked awkwardly.

[Mordred: How do I do that?]

Carmina sighs. His question underwhelmed her expectations of him.

[Carmina: Imagine a river flowing through your veins and going up to the glove. Once you finish that, create a clear image of your ideal weapon.]

[Mordred: My ideal weapon huh.]

Visualize my weapon. Make my veins flow their magic to the glove.

The glove glowed and rendered into a super durable gauntlet. Though it only covered one arm, it's powerful enough to protect Mordred from a magic cannon.

[Mordred: Well that was easy.]

[Charles: Now I wonder Why you can't use magic?]

[Carmina: That's a mystery for another day. For now.]

[Mordred: How did you know that I was looking for a gauntlet?]

[Carmina: Your real father did the same thing when he entered this shop.]

My father did?

Mordred losses focus on the magic.

The gauntlet reverts back into a glove. Even though it was very durable, the weight was almost nonexistent.

Carmina opens her hands as if she's asking something.

[Carmina: Payment please.]

[Charles: Alright.]

Charles threw a coin at Carmina. She catches it swiftly and without effort.

[Charles: I guess we're done here.]

Charles and Mordred leave the Workshop.

[Carmina: Come again sometime.]

With this glove, John and Anastasia taught me, and status. I have enough to attend school with confidence.

(-March 2, 2061/ 1:50 PM/ Current location: Outlaw city-)

Outlaw city or formerly called Starlite city.

Alice while sipping her a cup of coffee from her Autonomous Levitation Device (A.L.D). Her eyes are empty as always and lacking emotions.

The soldier beside her relays the information about the city.

[Soldier: 80% of the population is composed of mostly Demons and Humans. The Demons are using illusion magic to prevent themselves from being caught. How shall we deal with this My lord?]

[Alice: There is always an easy answer to a complicated question.]

[Soldier: That is?]

[Alice: Kill them all.]

The Soldier spoke as if he's in a hurry.

[Soldier: But the remaining 20% are humans. Why do such a thing?]

Alice looks at the Soldier with lifelessness and emptiness.

[Alice: Because it's easier to do so than think of a solution that will never be an answer.]

[Soldier: Bu-]

[Alice: Ready the fleet! We'll be erasing this city out of the map.]

[Soldier: Right away!]

The Soldier saluted and ran to the control panel. In the next instant, hundreds of Airships materialized right before their eyes. It carries the latest prototypes made by the Vanidicus Industry with the strongest firepower that can rival one of the Biggest countries.

The people below are in fear of being annihilated.

Alice gave her orders.

[Alice: Set the cannons at maximum output and fire until there's nothing left.]

They did as she told and fired at the country with the power similar to divine punishment.

Walls have been burned down and the buildings destroyed, leaving none standing.

People below screamed from the pain and from the loss of their loved ones. The dead ones or injured sprouted their wings, showing to Alice that they are demons

She smiles with the event that just happened. Truly her mind has broken significantly.

The Soldier thought to himself.

"They are not Demons. She is the demon inside the body of a Human."

And every part of the sentence is true.

No one can defy her. If you can't stand her tactics then the only thing you can do is leave and don't do anything else.

[Alice: Don't think of me like that. I am doing this for our great country.]

What she said was a lie. Alice was here to test the prototype 5th Gen Magic cannons.

[Alice: Punish the Demons who once ruled our land with tyranny.]

The demons of the Lower world are revered as heretics and mistakes of God. But in Trauzagaien or the Upper world, Demons are just another race. As such, discrimination against them is a rare occurrence.

After the bombardment of multiple magic artillery, one stood amidst it all.

In the ruins of a lonely home lies a man with a broken body.

He stands alone. Saw his family turned into ash and his hard work erased like it was nothing.

With nothing to do and full of hatred he vowed unyielding resolve for revenge.
