Path To Supremacy

Jin was born different from others with mysterious markings all over his body along with a higher level of intelligence compared to a normal child, though that did not stop him from trying to live a happy life with his loving parents. Sadly for him, because of his title as the monstrosity, the never before seen genius, his parent were killed right in front of his eyes and he also would have died if not for the mysterious awakening of his system. . . . Please read the tags, the mc isn't a kind-hearted person nor is he even the average anti-hero. He is evil, so please don't bother commenting about how evil the mc is unless you like it. . . . . Also, the story wouldn't focus much on the romance that would be coming very late into the novel so don't expect it to do anything to the plot like softening the heart of the mc.

Soul and Body Union

'Hmm, the will of the abyss said that after all nine lightning tribulations, my soul and body would then become one, this makes it possible for members of some races who have incredible regeneration to heal from a mere drop of blood. Right after this, is the Mystery Lord realm where I would gain insight on a random law that I have the most affinity with.' Jin thought as right after his tribulation started.

Boom!!!

Boom!!!

Boom!!!

Boom!!!

.

In a seemingly never-ending sea of dark energy, one can see the body of Jin as at this moment, the sea of darkness was lit brightly by the bright red color of the lightning falling onto Jin's body. His skin had already pealed off because of the power contained from the bolts of lightning as his muscles could be seen along with his unique black blood. What a being would find interesting would most definitely be the fact that every time Jin's black blood loses contact with any part of his body and enters the surrounding atmosphere, it mysteriously turns into black smoke which then goes onto disappears soon after.

BOOM!

If one was properly examining the bolts of lightning, they would realize that this last lightning bolt which represented the 81st lightning bolt was actually nine times stronger than the first bolt of lightning in this Lightning Tribulation. And, because of this fact, even the body of Jin which was many times stronger than an average Soul and Body Union cultivator, needed at least a few days of time in order to fully heal, even with his tremendously fast speed of regeneration. Knowing this, even though he had the two memories of the outer sect disciples of the Chthonic Sect, Jin finally now understood why those beings needed healing treasures and why they so badly wanted his treasure that was filled with mystery.

'Hahaha.'

Jin laughed in his mind, mainly because of the thought of those two Soul and Body Union cultivators wanting his treasure as they probably thought that it may be able to be used as a healing treasure. His treasure, the system which has been offline for a whole decade!!! What kind of fools would want a half-ass tool that only works when it wants to. Thinking this, Jin couldn't help but have his left eye twitch in annoyance as complained in his mind about the unfairness of life. If he had some marks of reality, wouldn't he be able to leave this place right now? Now he is forced to reach the Mysterious Lord realm in order for him to peer into the mysteries of 'Law'.

Sigh!!

A sigh escaped Jin's lips as he then focused on healing his injuries that not only harmed his body but even slightly harmed his soul.

'No wonder did the Will Of The Abyss say that the Tribulations in the Abyss World are harder than he mortal planes. It seems that it is completely true.' Jin thought in his mind as he then completely focused his attention on his regeneration and also his strength and robustness that was continuously rising along with his healing.

'Perks of Reactive Evolution I guess.' He smiled evilly with that thought...

Boom!!!

Boom!!!

Boom!!!

It's been exactly 1,944 hours since the beginning of the Lightning Tribulation of Jin. One would expect that after every tribulation that Jin went through, the speed in which the next came would be slower since every other tribulation comes more powerful than the last, but, unlike what one would expect, Jin did not fit in this category as similar to his body which was continuously getting stronger after being healed, it seems that the reactive evolution skill also made the skill regeneration become a higher level every time it is used. Though I say a higher level, I do not mean an actual higher level in the system but I mean, Jin's regeneration quickens ever slowly every time he uses the skill.

Though it was always like this, and it was only in this way did the regeneration skill be qualified to level up in the first place, at this moment it was akin to the regeneration that used to gain 25 experience points every time it was used, now getting 50 experience points every time Jin is injured and it is then used. Anyway, currently, Jin found himself under a barrage of extremely powerful attacks that would kill any Soul and Body Union cultivator in the mortal world. Knowing this, Jin gritted his bloody teeth and resolutely affirmed his will so that he can pass this without any sort of failure.

'Haha, fail?

Me?

Where would my pride as quite rightly being the highest lifeform go, if I am to fail a mere Abyssal Tribulation?

It does not matter if in the World of Abyss the tribulations aren't fixed and actually change accordingly to give every different person a run-in with death's doors.

I am the highest of beings, the holiest and at the same time most unholy, I am greatness incarnate as I am the very concept of magnificence and resplendence!!!!'

Jin roared in his mind, as his pride raised a few more levels, and mysteriously so too did all of his abilities. Though, he would only realize after this tribulation as he would then try to gain enlightenment into the Law he currently has the most affinity with.

Bam!!!

BOOM!!!

BOOM!!!

BRRRR!!!

BOOM!!!!

As if sensing Jin's increase in arrogance along with his bloodline abilities, and with a series of incredibly loud explosions, the last few bolts of the Abyssal Tribulation ended as Jin's body was left with multiple holes as even his muscles and bones were riddled with holes. At this moment, the only reason he was alive was mainly because of the fact that he still had a working heart and a functioning brain intact as his consciousness was automatically sent there in the encephalon located in his left thigh.

.

.

.

It was only after a few long hours comparable to three weeks, was it possible for Jin's body to heal fully as he was unconscious throughout.

Hah...hah...hah...hah...hah!!!!

Jin's ragged breathing was heard by no one as he had cold sweat running across his forehead as he remembered what his pride last brought him. It seems as if losing his head and a heart was helpful to Jin as he seemed to have regained a working brain. Promising himself not to be so stupid in the future, Jin immediately after, focused on the changes made to his body and what he felt almost made him jump off his seat, though he was not sitting in the first place as he was instead floating in this darkness.

The incredible amount of strength coursing through his black-colored veins and muscles was enough to put him into a mild state of euphoria as he clenched his fist with a dastardly devilish smile etching itself onto his face. A devilish smile that could give any female and even some males, butterflies in their stomach. And, he had a right to smile so as he watched with interest as many changes happened to his body, many changes that he had to inspect before he tries to enter enlightenment and attempt to reach the Mystery Lord realm.
