No Promises

"How do you deal with that woman day after day?" Lena asked in more of a rhetorical sense.

"Miss Grant has her good sides, she might have the image of a mean, self-righteous, bitch but really she's a big teddy bear. She's like a second mother to me." Kara said thinking for a moment. "Well third mother if you really think about it because you know I'm adopted.....Because my original Mom exploded."

"OK that's enough of that." Lena stated before it could get anymore depressing.

They were both led on Lena's bed, in her room that overlooked the ocean. Her house was situated on one of the hills on the coast of National City, it was a modern looking stone mansion that had marble floors, a luxury interior and 8 foot tall windows. Lena's bedroom was the master suite, it was big like REALLY big, it was en suite and had a walk in wardrobe. There was an area that had two couches facing each other and a table in between them, there were also various plants, chairs and awards.

Lena was sat leaning against the backboard with one leg bent and the other flat whilst Kara was led with her head on the ravens tilted stomach, facing down toward the bent leg and finally the rest of her body was curled up next to Lena.

"Sorry, you probably don't want to hear about my depressing childhood." Kara exclaimed as she moved her head around Lena's belly trying to find a comfortable position, which Lena admittedly found really cute.

"It's fine honey, just say as much as you want as long as you don't end up hurting yourself in the process." Lena stroked Kara's head after she found a comfier position." And never be ashamed of what you're telling me, remember, I had a rather sad childhood too so I can help you."

" Thank you Lee. I'm here for you as well remember." She said as she looked up at her girlfriend.

" I know you are babe." Lena leant down and placed a kiss on the blondes head. " Love you."

" Love you too." She responded.

They stayed silent for a while just enjoying being accompanied by one another.

" Hey, how about we talk about something that's nothing to do with what happened today or anything miserable in fact." Lena said to end the silence.

"Ok so what should we talk about?" Kara asked as she shuffled upwards to sit up next to her girlfriend. She rested her head on Lena's shoulder and felt an arm go around the back of her neck and rest on her shoulder with the hand hanging over her chest.

"How abooouut you tell me how you feel about maybe you and I going on vacation together."

Kara's face lit up as she looked up at Lena. She felt like she hadn't taken a vacation in ages. "Really?!? But where and when and for how long and-"

Kara felt a finger on her lips as she was silenced by her girlfriend. " Don't you worry about that, just tell me when you know where you want to go. After that I'll figure it all out." She smiled. Kara returned a wider grin as she thought about going away with Lena.

" Aaaaaaahhhhh.""HELP."" Go to hell.""Die."

There were sudden noises of danger that Kara could hear coming from the beach."I've gotta go." Kara said pecking Lena on the lips the getting up off the bed.

"What? Why?" Lena said confused also sitting straight up, swinging her legs over the side of the bed and resting her feet on the floor.

" There's an attack on the beach, I need to stop it."

" Oh, Oh ok." Lena said understanding the situation." Just be safe alright."

" You know I always am." Kara stated as she took off her glasses and ripped open her shirt to revel the house of El symbol. Before she jumped of the balcony she heard Lena call out to her. " Oh and Babe."

" Yes?" The blonde said sitting on the fence of the balcony facing Lena.

Lena lightly smirked." When you come back promise me you"ll do that same thing but without anything underneath."

" Yes ma'am." Kara exclaimed excitedly but also a bit shocked before she let herself fall backwards and fly down to the beach.

When she got there she realised what was actually happening. It was a full on Alien vs human brawl.She levitate about 25 metres in the air above it assessing the situation.

" Alex." She said into her ear piece.No reply. " Come on Alex whee are you."That's when she realised that Alex has probably gone home for the day as it was pretty late, about 10:30." I guess I'm on my own then."

She looked down again to see about 15 humans fighting roughly 12 aliens. Supergirl knew one thing for sure, there were definitely more humans then Aliens. There were some aliens that had definite features of being from somewhere that's not earth like horns or being green ( dead giveaway) but some had last noticible features that could only be seen if you knew exactly what you were reaching for, like pointy ears or scaley forearms.

Some of the aliens did seem to have powers though which worries her. Powers included strength, heatvision and one had skin that heated up when you touched it. Luckily though Kara realised that if they had a power they had only one. She decided to go down in the middle of it to see if she could stop it but as she landed she got attacked by 2 humans. But it to wasn't much success....Obviously. She just lightly pushed them both with one finger and they both fell to the floor.She decided there was one other thing she could try. Using her superspeed, she separated the aliens and humans so there were about 10 metres between them. She then landed halfway between the both of them. "What in Roa's name is going on here." She shouted at them all." They started it." One of the Aliens shouted." I don't give a damn who started." She started to get a bit more annoyed." No I they started it." One of the humans shouted.

Supergirl scrunched her eyebrows." Look at yourselves, you're acting like children." There was silence. " Now someone please tell me whats going on." There were a few more seconds of silence before on of the smaller aliens spoke up. He was from the planet Algar.

" Me and one of the humans were having a disagreement about a parking spot when suddenly two more came out of no where and started trying to attack me so I ran. Some other Aliens saw I was in trouble came to defend me but it kept growing and growing until we couldn't control it."

Kara was getting more and more angry by the second as she was hearing this. She turned to the group of humans." Is this true." She demanded giving them the death stare.

One of them stepped forwards stepped forward with their hands folded and looking overly proud of themselves. " Yeah so what? I felt intimidated, what do you expect? It's not like I wasn't going to get help, the freak has horns." He said in a cocky manner.

" I would like do just point out that my horns only come out when I feel threatened." The Algarian said quite timidly.

" Yeah, see he was about to attack us ." Another human said.

" That's not the point." Kara begun as she stepped towards the humans."The point is that you and your friends started attacking this man with no good reason other than a parking ticket and the fact that he has horns on the top of his head."

" Surely they should be considered a lethal weapon, so I want him arrested and all these creatures arrested for possession of a lethal weapon." He said stepping closer to supergirl. At this point they were only about a metre apart.
