Not all days are bad.

..Bang bang bang! Came a knock on the door and Sage quickly jumped out of her bed as her heart skipped. She walked briskly to the door and struggled to unlock.

"Go and get the keys girl, how can you unlock a door without the key"? His brother chipped in from the window as he looked in and saw that his sister might just be sleeping but standing at the same time. It was no surprise to him because Sage was also a sleep Walker.

She got a hold of herself and headed to the dining to get the keys. "I thought you went out with your keys"? Sage said as she opened the door as quickly as she could. Even the tiniest things gets her nervous. That got her the nickname nervous wreck, Allen would always call her that whenever he noticed her nerves were getting the best of her.

"I thought it was in my pocket but it turns out my shorts doesn't even have pockets", Allen said as he walked inside the house and Sage chuckled.

"It seems you are feeling much better," Allen said as he smiled at her.

"Well I am not bad," she said as she sat down in the cushion in their sitting room.

"Should I come and sit with you"? Allen asked and Sage immediately affirmed. She wanted to make amends for her careless behaviour yesterday but she didn't know how to. Allen could sense that his sister was sorry for what she did but he knew she was not that good with speaking. She would rather adjust her actions and make you feel good after having offended you than to open her mouth and say something. One would say she was an economist with words. She could spend a while day without talking to anyone and it is as normal as ever to her.

"Hope you had something to eat yesterday"? I told you there's food in the kitchen before I left yesterday."

"Yes yes, I remember you said that but I didn't get to eat because I wasn't hungry."

"That's incredible, how can Sage Johnsons not have dinner"? Allen said and they both burst out laughing. Sage was a voracious eater and she always makes Sure she has at least four to five meals each day. Meanwhile Allen wasn't that much of a eater,he could go the whole day without eating something tangible.

"I know you would become hungry soon, but before that happens I would like to have this conversation with you, Hope you're up for it"? Allen asked as he looked at his sister with eyes full of love and concern.

"Yes Allen, I am willing to discuss anything you want, even though I wouldn't want it to take much time because I am starting to feel hungry."

"That's more like it," Allen said and they both smiled.

"I believe you already know what I want to talk to you about, but I'll still say it anyway."

"Its about how you're handling life and how you take everything that comes with it."

Here we are again, Sage thought to herself. She knew that her brother doesn't stop talking once he starts. He always goes deeper and deeper and he wouldn't leave you unless he sees a satisfying look on your face, or rather unless he has exhausted all his points.

Sometimes I wonder how much money he would make if he decides to nurture and motivate people who need it.

"Hello young lady are you even listening"? Allen said as he waved his hands across her face. Sage immediately nodded so as to convince him that she was listening.

"Ok so then answer my question"...Allen replied and looked at her inquisitively.

"Sorry can you please rephrase the question"? I didn't get you the first time, Sage replied amidst her stupid laughter which Allen often finds offensive. Sage doesn't stop laughing once she starts, of course unless her cheeks start to ache. It seemed like there were people inside her head who would always crack jokes for her. Or she just laughs in order to feel or induce happiness, Either way, the kind of laugh she gives off doesn't sit well with Allen. He loved her anyway.

"I knew you weren't listening," he said to her and stood up to leave, Sage made to stop him but laughter couldn't let her, she knew her brother wasn't really too angry and she was aware she was being unfair and stupid.

She quickly stood up and followed him into the kitchen. He was making noodles for them to eat. Apart from being a supportive brother, Allen was also a mother figure to Sage even though he was a man. They lived in a different city from their parents and they only get to seem them once in a while.

"Put the rice in the freezer so that it won't turn sour," Allen said with a mean face. Sage knew that all she needed to do was to say something funny and the mean face would change to the exact opposite. She loved her brother so much.

"Haven't seen or heard from Damon for a long time now, How is he"? Allen asked as he turned to see the face of his sister as he asked the question. He knew that Something was up but didn't know what it was. Sage was always very discreet when it came to Matters concerning Damon. She always liked to sort things out her own way when it comes to that It wasn't a wonderful topic for her and she tried to manoeuvre but her brother knew better.

"Come on talk to me Sage,I don't know why you find it difficult to open up to me,I mean I'm your brother," Allen insisted.

"Do you tell me anything about your personal life"?Sage asked in a laughter suggestive mode and Allen was out of words to reply. He kept mute for a while and Sage wasn't expecting a reply.

"You see? your silence says it all, since you don't tell me about yours,I won't tell you about mine either, that way we are even."

"Come on you can't compare the both of us, I'm your elder brother and I don't need you as much as you need me. Besides being older than you, I am also a man and you are the weaker sex."

"What did you just say"? Sage said as she gave her brother a knock on the head.

"I said you are the weaker sex," he repeated.

She gave him a knock again and replied sarcastically. I am the weaker sex but you are the one afraid of pests. She laughed and Allen was pissed off.

Allen was so afraid of animals no matter how small,he would always run away whenever one comes into the house and Sage would be the one to do the supposedly man work.

"You have succeeded in changing the bone of contention here Sage, but I know I'll beat you to it later. For now dish out the food so that we can eat, I'm really hungry."

Sage was elated that he finally got off her back concerning her saga with Damon.

"What a relief, she muttered."
