Monster Butcher

The people of the Empire were filled with excitement as they gathered in the ranks of the Audience inside the Grand Arena.

Today a Horde fight would be held like never before seen, at least that was what the people were advertising.

Still, many people came, even some adventurer and Worker teams had come.

The most surprising thing was when news spread that even the Emperor himself would watch the upcoming event.

In the beginning, people asked themselves why even the Emperor would be there, but when it truly came down, everyone understood.

At first, two newcomers were introduced, only a couple of onlookers had seen the fights the day before and so no one knew anything about them.

But when one saw the giant of a man holding a Greatsword as big as himself without trouble, the people got excited.

They cheered and hoped to see a great show.

No matter if the two down there would survive or not, the people only wanted to see the excitement brought by the bloodshed and fighting.

As they waited for the release of the Monster Horde, the audience watched the man take off part of his clothes and reveal his bare upper body, in the end, he even handed the sword at his waist to the person beside him.

And then finally the moment came, the Horde of Monsters was released.

To the horror of the audience, the scale of this monster horde was something never seen before.

Consisting of a total of 100 Goblins, 20 Ogre, and 4 War Trolls, they were split into equal groups.

This was a lineup that was beyond anything the people expected and all this was faced by only two people.

The people were already thinking that this would soon end, but then they saw something completely crazy.

The man with his giant Greatsword laying on his shoulder walked towards one of the groups and just when everyone thought his end would come...

The man swung his sword and cleaved 10 Goblims in half at the waist.

The people were shocked at first, but then they started to cheer wildly.

The cheering grew louder as he split the first Ogre and then the second...

After the man took the War Troll down by splitting him in two at the waist, people were going crazy as they cheered for him.

But...

When they saw how the girl was bringing the other monsters in a giant horde together towards the man, people stopped cheering immediately.

Then they watched as a Demon was unleashed upon the world that would haunt them in their nightmares.

"Does he not have any blood on him?"

One of the people realized something was wrong when the person saw that there wasn't a drop of blood on the man.

And more people realized this, growing more and more silent, only whispering to each other in horror as they watched the man treat the monster like insects being trampled.

Then one of the people muttered a bit louder as shock and fear gripped his heart.

"This man... this Demon is treating monsters... like Pigs in a slaughterhouse and he is the butcher..."

The people who heard it nodded in dumbstruck agreement.

Most people couldn't believe their eyes as they watched this man continue on his killing without taking a break or trying to get a breather in.

It was just surreal for them, never had they seen such a bloody slaughter with the one doing it not having a single drop of blood on himself, not even on his clothes.

And the people saw that smile on the man's face and those eyes filled with a seemingly endless desire for Slaughter and bloodshed.

These people started to feel the blood in their veins run cold, their bodies started to tremble, and many started to vomit.

If it was from the pressure they felt or from the cruel butchering of the Monsters below, not even they probably knew.

Then the moment came when the man started to rip out a War Troll's eyes, killing the other three Ogre surrounding him, before ripping off the War Troll's head with his bare hands.

This time the whole Audience felt it, this wasn't about a fight at all. This was a Cruel and Vicious Demon in human skin, slaughtering and butchering sheep.

Dōji, while holding the head of the War Troll and his Greatsword, walked toward the next sheep in line for Slaughter.

He couldn't control his expression anymore at all, with most of his concentration being focused on not showing too much strength while restraining his desire to rip these Sheep apart with his bare hands.

To dig out their intestines while relishing in their expressions of Agony and horror.

Trying to control the Skill for a while now, challenged his mental strength, but remembering the days, months, and years he waited and could do nothing, it seemed not so bad.

There were still around 50 or 60 Goblins, 12 Ogre, and 2 War Trolls for him to Kill before the fight was over.

And so he didn't continue to linger and walked towards the next group of Goblins, this time he didn't just Slash them apart.

No, he used the flat side of the sword and smashed them into each other, jumping after them and swinging the sword with one hand.

He used the other hand to grab Goblins and ripped their heads off, or simply threw them into other Goblins.

The Monsters were already going crazy with fright, their instincts told them that only death awaited them, but their survival instincts drove them to attack with all their might, despite their instincts telling them that nothing would change.

Another Ogre came in front of Dōji with a group of Goblins and more Ogre were already on their way as well.

Dōji's cruel smile grew thicker and he jumped into the face of the Ogre, deflecting its weapon with the Greatsword, followed by his hand grabbing at its head and taking the Ogre to the ground.

Looking at the other Ogre charging at him, Dōji decided to show a bit more and threw the Ogre at the others.

Following in its flying direction, while slaying the Goblins close by.

The body of the Ogre slammed into 3 other Ogre, bringing them all to the ground, but none of them was heavily wounded.

The problem was that Dōji jumped up above them and slammed his sword into the Ogre laying on a pile, skewering them onto it.

"Let you stay like this for a while."

The voice laced with endless malice made the bodies of the beings who heard it shiver in endless terror.

Dōji then continued by picking up one of the clubs, which were used by the Ogre.

"This feels much more comfortable..."

Dōji mumbled to himself while swinging the club a bit before going back to gaze at the crazy bunch of monsters coming toward him.

The first thing that happened, was a Gobiln being smashed flat on the ground by the huge club falling on its head.

He continued by smashing the Goblins or grabbing them and simply squashing their heads in his hands.

The Ogre didn't end better either, having their head squashed into their bodies by the huge club, or going thrown at each other before getting their limbs or heads ripped off.

The blood spilled by him still didn't touch him once.

As he continued on his rampage, soon only the last War Troll was standing, but this one didn't have a better end either.

Its legs were simply smashed under the club, after which Dōji stomped the tip of the club on its head, letting the weapon fall afterward as he walked away from the massacre he had caused.

There wasn't a single person speaking in the audience when the last monster died, and neither did anyone cheer.

The only person able to move was Kiyomi, who came to Dōji's side as he began to pick up the upper part of his Yukata which was hanging on his sides, to wear it properly again.

"How was it, my lord?"

Kiyomi presented the neatly folded Haori and Purgatory's Wrath to him, as she asked.

Dōji took a couple of deep breaths, calming his desire to continue with Slaughtering the audience.

'It's still rather bothersome to use...'

Remaining concentrated on not getting more and more vicious in his killing wasn't something that would be easy to control.

'Let's deactivate the skill for now...'

After deactivating the skill, Dōji felt like a huge burden was lifted from his mind.

He then turned to grab Purgatory's Wrath first, putting it back into its place on his Sashi before taking his Haori and draping it again over his Shoulders.

"It was fine... though a little annoying..."

This enormous desire to slowly torture his enemies to death wasn't something easy to ignore at all.

Dōji then turned and walked towards the entrance from where they had entered earlier.

Kiyomi followed silently behind him.

There was no announcement about the win, no cheer, nothing. The people simply watched the two people whom they would for sure die to leave the Arena with a sense of fear and Terror engraved deep into their hearts.

Among them was the person who organized this whole massacre.

Jircniv, the bloody Emperor sat in his VIP room with a pale face.

Beside him were 5 people, two of them were Nimble and Baziwood, Nibley was just pale like Jircniv, but Baziwood was trembling all over.

The man was pale like a ghost and the fear was written on his face, aside everything one needed to know.

Besides these two were two more Knight's in a similar armor to Baziwood and Nimble.

One was a woman with long blonde hair, covering half of her face and being bound on the end. She was Leinas Rockbruise, also one of the Four Imperial Knights called Heavy Bomber.

The other one was an older man with short trimmed Grey hair and an X-shape scar on his chin. Nazami Enec, the last member of the four Imperial Knights also called the Immovable.

Besides the Imperial knights was an old man, with long grey hair and a similar long grey beard. His face was filled with wrinkles and one could see the year he had on his back.

The eyes of this old man were sharper than even the eyes of the four Imperial Knights, he was the greatest Hero of the Empire, the Imperial Court Wizard Fluder Paradyne.

"Your Majesty... this person is far beyond what this Empire can handle..."

The old man was the only one who wasn't as pale as the rest, which came mostly from his confidence in his teleportation away from this Monster in Human skin.

The Emperor shook his head, "I had already thought that to be the case... I just didn't think that one person alone could dispatch all these monsters... also I received a report that the girl disappeared and reappeared without us being able to follow at all."

He had hoped that the two would struggle a little at least.

"No that person wasn't serious at all yet..." Nazami who had a heavy and pale face interjected his view, "That guy was taken a stroll through a bunch of sheep..."

Leinas the least loyal among the knights shook her head, "I will not fight this person and not be his enemy, no matter how much you would want to dispose of him."

Jircniv understood what they meant, 'This person is simply beyond the scale of human possibilities...'

He shook his head with a wry smile, "Let's just hope they leave the Empire soon... the sooner the better..."

The two had done nothing noteworthy over the three days they had stayed here besides their fights in the Arena. He just hoped they would get going and disappear soon, to go to some other country to give another rule a headache.

"Don't let anyone get close to them who is important, but don't get in their way either. Just avoid all forms of confrontation and double the money they get for this fight... no triple it, maybe change to platinum coins? Everything so they will go sooner..."

Jircniv had no desire to make an enemy out of such people and even his Knight and the Empire's most trusted hero didn't have any confidence against this person.

This left him with only one option, to send him money and hope they would leave, hopefully sooner than later.

Walking out of the Grand Arena, Dōji was a bit annoyed at the management and this so-called "sponsor".

"They changed from gold coins to platinum coins and said to come back tomorrow to get it. Tsk.."

'It seems the Emperor wants to get rid of us... it is understandable, in a way we are a great security and safety issue for them... he even brought that old man into play...'

Having felt the Aura of four "strong" Knights besides the Emperor as well as the somewhat "impressive" Mana of the old man, Dōji had an idea who had been watching the game.

"Lord, I smelled that girl I told you about watching you fight, also I took up the smell of another higher wizard..."

Kiyomi wanted to explain that she could look into the other wizard as well, but Doji cut her off.

"Kiyomi, don't worry about the other wizard. You go and make your offer to the girl. She has two days to decide, you are to only tell her what she can gain and you will neither mention anything about us or our plans."

Kiyomi took on a serious face, once she heard her Lord's orders.

"Also, the girl has two days to decide, we are leaving Arwintar on the evening of the 2nd day from now on."

Kiyomi nodded silently and disappeared from Dōji's side.

"Let me go and confirm the identities of those people, it shouldn't be too much trouble anyway..."

Although he already had the names of the four Imperial Knights and the court wizard, he decided to get a bit more on them, as he remembered only one person really, which was Fluder Paradyne.

Kiyomi came to the house to which she had followed the girl before.

The girl wasn't at home yet, which was good for Kiyomi, because it meant that she could catch the girl before.

Searching for a suitable hiding place, she came to a dark alley which the girl would pass by once she came home.

"Let's wait here for a while..."

She leaned against a wall and hid herself in the shadows while waiting for the scent of the girl to reach her again.

Kiyomi waited for a long time, even when the sun had already set, did the girl not reach her home.

Kiyomi even thought about going back once the world had turned dark but in the end, decided against it.

Then finally her nose picked up the scent of the girl and Kiyomi knew that it wouldn't be too long before the girl came by.

Just as the girl was about to walk by the dark alley, Kiyomi's hands reached out from the darkness, one hand covering the girl's mouth, while the other restricted the girl's movements.

Dragging the girl, who was trying to struggle free from her grip, into the dark ally, Kiyomi started to whisper in the girl's ears.

"Cease your useless struggle, if I wanted to kill you, then you would have been dead now..."

The girl shuddered when she heard the whispering in her ear.

"You can't break free of my grip anyway."

The girl seems to have realized this as well because she started to nod her head slowly and stopped thrashing around.

"I will neither tell you my name nor where I came from, but I have a deal for you."

Kiyomi continued to whisper, she was sure that there wasn't anyone close by, but it was better to be safe.

The girl stopped moving at all, she seemed to have no idea what value she could have and who would propose a deal in such a way.

"Will you scream if I let you go?"

The girl shook her head, she seemed to have understood.

"Let me tell you before I let you go, if you scream then what will follow will be very painful..."

Although Kiyomi was a rather good person among the NPCs of Nazarick, this didn't mean she wouldn't strike when necessary, and at the end of the day, she was her Lord's sword, nothing more and nothing less.

The girl nodded her head, which made Kiyomi let go of the girl.

The girl immediately took distance from Kiyomi and started to breach a bit heavier, before turning to have a look at who was it that was her opponent right now.

Upon seeing Kiyomi, the girl's eyes widened in horror, "You... you are..." She had seen the woman, the woman opposite her was the partner of the man who massacred 124 monsters in under 10 minutes in the Arena... among which were 4 War Trolls.

The girl's face went pale and Kiyomi, who saw this, couldn't help but shake her head internally, 'You humans are so innocent, you guys have no idea how cruel and powerful my Lord really can be.'

Truth be told she hoped these pure humans would never see what her master truly could do because she felt it would break these somewhat fragile and pitiful beings.

The girl's voice filled with a sense of horror and fear asked nervously, "Why are you after me? I didn't do anything to you?!"

She seemed scared now, which made Kiyomi shake her head, "I will repeat myself, I am here to offer you a deal if you take it or not... that decision rests in your own hands..."

The girl was stunned for a moment, still fearful, she asked, "What would I have to offer to you?"

Kiyomi shook her head, "That is not important, important is what we will offer you. You only need to agree or disagree..."

"Then what deal is it you want to offer me?"

"Well, you seem to desire to leave those people who call you their daughter, don't you?"

The girl took a step back, "I can't leave..."

Kiyomi interrupted, "Oh I know, I have already investigated you, you can't leave because of your siblings..."

The girl grew anxious and worried when she heard the mention of her siblings, she gritted her teeth, "So what do you want?"

"Like I said before that isn't something you need to worry about now." She paused and then explained, "It is very simple, you and your two sisters are given the chance at a new life somewhere else, if you take it or not, is your choice."

"A new life?" The girl seemed lost in imagination, but Kiyomi pulled her out of it.

"It's very simple, we will leave Arwintar in two days, if you want to take the deal, then be at the West gate before night falls."

With the words finished, Kiyomi decided to leave, but before she threw another word in, "It is now your decision to make..."

The girl was left standing alone in the dark alley.
