Forest of the Pact

In the midst of this chaos, I knew I hit Joseph as I grabbed the two boys.

"What are you dumb demons looking at catch them", like a kings with borrowed powers Joseph ordered his underlings to chase after us.

I ran up the streets and far across, Uhhhh I don't know how to get back home!!!!!!

"YOU, Steve or whatever your name is!!! You know to get back don't you", I asked the stupid elf and his 'brother'. I made sure I get my answer so I threatened them just a little by baring my claws.

"uh.. I.. I will tell you. P.. please don't hurt Kazan", the elf pleaded for the other boy I had grabbed on accident.

"Y..you tu...turn right on the stall with trinkets" he grasped for breathes as I ran through tiny alleys and unpaved roots "now turn left and then... then run into the fore-"

The wall paced from the corner of my eyes like they were just streaks of black, mud and blood. The wind though gentle talked swiftly like a flowing river and the sky filled with darkness as the sun set behind us.

S-N-A-P... I reached the forest, I hope we are not attacked by the forest beasts... uncle and owner will be angry with me. At least I got the bread back not that a piece of bread matters. "WAAAIIIIIITTTTTT, the bread is.. its.. gone"

"where is it?", grabbing the boys by the collar. G-r-o-w-l the sound was the only thing heard in the dark forest amongst the buzzing fireflies.

"Hey... I..I know you have no reason to risk your life anymore than you already are but... you know", fiddling with his fingers, "uhh... can you"

What is this kid trying to say don't tell me he's planning on using me against the Yamaguchi cause I will beat him to a pulp and then I'll serve him to the dogs that guard uncle Jeran's house.

"can u let..... ", "THERE IS FIRE THERE. THEY MUST BE HIDDING THERE."

"YOU IDIOT NOW WE LOST THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE.... Uhh let's get this over with I don't wanna deal with that brat telling the leader"

Oh shit I didn't think they would find us so soon. What? how did they find us? Uhh

"Elf kid let's make a deal. If we make it out if here alive I'll let you live through winter. OK???"

"DEAL, can you carry my brother and I like before. I'll use my magic to ask the fireflies where we can hide until it's safe"

"let's go" and just like that I ran through the woods and just as Steven told there was a lake with a cave hidden by vines. The cave was a secret passage between the towns.

And so we finally made it back to my house. Uncle and boss had mouthfuls to say to me but I was just glad to be home away from those monsters, since they couldn't enter into the beast territory due to the barrier.

*Note* the barrier is a spell that is cast by any species in order to stop anyone with evil intentions entering a given area. this only works against the intention of killing, kidnapping and/or stealing something of great value, it is also affected by the phyche.

*another note* there are other types of barriers and spells that are used by different races and if an malicious person is inside area when spell is casted they can pass back and forth through the barrier
