Character profile

Kai Green: Age 18. While Kai is 18 he never got to act it. He raised his younger brother Shay and later fell in love with Matthew. While he has a bad past he is a kind and loving person.

Shay Green: Age 12. Shay is the younger brother of Kai. He is often cold and doesn't like people due to his mother's abuse. Shay was with his father when he died and it left Shay with a scar that could not be undone. But if you look past all his flaws you'll see someone worthy of all your love and kindness.

Matthew James Lorance: Age 17. Coming out as gay was hardest thing Matthew ever did. He no longer speaks to his parents because of it. Matthew suffers from stage three gastric cancer but he always smiles. He fell in love with Kai and later married him. He is a great friend because he always listens to others problems before worrying about his own.

Eli Chen: Age 21. He is Kai's ex-lover. He fell in love with Kai when he joined his gang. He feels betrayed by Kai because he left. He wants Kai but knows he can't have him. He has a younger sister but Kai never knew that. His younger sister's name is Chloe Chen.

Leo: Age 21. Leo is a pretty good person. When Matthew gets sick Leo realized just how bad the people he works for are. So he decides to leave and join the military. Along the way Matthew and Leo become great friends. As far as I know Leo has no living family.

Cruz: Age 20: Cruz was Kai's best friend while in the gang. Cruz feels that Kai can't be trusted because he left the gang. He feels hurt because Kai didn't tell him and he thinks if he had Kai wouldn't have had this life. Cruz had an older sister and brother but they killed in a gang fight.

Will: Age 15: Will met Matthew during one of his treatments and they became friends. Asher is Will's lover. Will and Asher have been together for a year. Will is Asher support because like Matthew, Asher has cancer. Will has a tattoo on his left wrist.

Asher: Age 14: Asher has Leukemia but he is very happy and content with his life. His lover is Will and like Will he also has the same tattoo on his wrist but it's on his right wrist instead of his left wrist. Asher came out as gay when he was thirteen but many didn't accept it and he tried to kill himself by slitting his wrist.

I know so dumb right but at least I'm honest. Also I would like to tell you while things like what Asher went through can be hard, in the end I think it's worth it. People should like you for who you are. So many people these days judge others because of there skin color, what gender they are, and even who we like but I'm here to tell you it's going to be ok. I'm often judged as an author but that made me who I am today. I wrote this story and life's little moments to inspire others and so to all you readers out I hope I've inspired you. Oh and we all have our problems but how we deal with those problems makes us who we are.
