New bounties

Lami chose not to explore the island and stayed behind with Reiju on guard duty. She chose to prioritize the safety of her ship as she sensed a few people around her with ill intentions.

As she was seating on the deck, she saw a newspaper bird flying around and she signaled it to come down and deliver the newspaper it was carrying.

The newspaper bird obediently gave Lami the newspaper and she gave it a cold coin. Lami skimmed through the newspaper, trying to find any information on recent pirate activities.

As she was about to read the paper, a few bounties suddenly came out of the paper.

She was met with surprise as the newspaper contained an updated bounty poster of her and a bounty poster of Alexia. Lami smiled when she saw Alexia's face on the poster and the increased amount of her bounty.

It was then that Lami realized the pirates with ill intentions she sensed earlier might have been after her. ' So those idiots want to defeat me for my bounty, shouldn't they like fear me or something,' she thought to herself as she looked at the bounty posters.

The heading of the story read," Another Trafalgar Pops Up and Kills Another King,"

" Your brothers really have it in for me," spoke Lami as she passed the newspaper to Reiju.

Reiju was confused by what Lami was saying however as she read the heading her eyes darkened, " Those heartless bastards, they blamed everything on you!" replied Reiju as she realized what her brothers have done.

' Mhm, so now the Navy thinks I killed the king and it's looks like they know about Alexia's background,' Lami thought to herself as she folded the newspaper and put it away.

Alexia was exploring the island while Lami was guarding the ship, but little did she know that her bounty had been updated and the Navy was after her.

The island was not a nice place to be, especially for someone with a bounty on their head as the pirates on this island were notorious for attacking other pirates and taking their treasure.

Alexia noticed that there was a group of men that seemed to be following her, and her instincts told her they were not friendly.

She quickly made her way out of the crowded area and into a more secluded part of the island. The idiots followed her not knowing they were matching into their deaths.

As soon as the men got close, Alexia turned toward them and took a fighting stance. The men simply shared a laugh.

They thought she was just a runaway princess who her parents decided to put a bounty on her inorder to help find her as it was written, " Alive Only".

" Someone who has a bounty for simply just skipping home should tread carefully," said one of the men. " Bounty when did I get one of those?" asked Alexia, confused by the statement made by the man.

The man laughed again, " You ain't serious, are you? You're Draco Alexia, you have a bounty of 44,500,000 berries on your head!" he said as he pulled out a bounty poster of Alexia.

Alexia was shocked by the information she received, " Really?! I finally have a bounty," she said as her eyes sparkled in joy.

The men looked confused as they watched Alexia's reaction, not expecting her to be happy about having a bounty on her head.

" It does matter our captain has a bounty of 58,000,000 berries! We're here to collect your bounty," said one of the men with a smirk.

Alexia smirked back, " You think you could take me on?" she said as her smile was replaced with a serious expression sending shivers down the spine of some of the men.

The men hesitated for a moment before charging at Alexia, but she was quick to dodge their attacks. With a swift movement, Alexia knocked out one of the men with a single punch.

The other men were shocked by how quickly she took down their comrade and hesitated to continue their attack. " We have more numbers, let's attack!" shouted the captain with a 58,000,000 berry bounty on their head.

They suicide charged, I mean they charged toward Alexia with their weapons hoping to overwhelm her with numbers.

The men led by a pirate with a bounty of 58,000,000 berries with their superior numbers and captain were defeated by a single woman in a matter of a few seconds and the woman didn't even break out a sweat.

Alexia finished up and went to buy snacks and drinks before she made her way back into the ship.

She found Lami and Reiju chilling on the deck and joined them and then she told them about the pirates who had an unfortunate accident.

Amelia and Olivia were walking around the island trying to find any useful item. Amelia was shopping for new clothes, while Olivia was stocking up on supplies as they were almost out of food due to Alexia's massive appetite.

As they were returning to the ship, they noticed Alexia walking towards with a bag of snacks and fruits. " Of all the things to buy, you choose snacks and drinks," commented Olivia, shaking her head.

" I was hungry and thirsty," replied Alexia with a smile as she handed over some of the snacks to Amelia and Olivia.

Amelia took a bag of chips and laughed, "Looks like we'll be snacking all day."

Amelia looked around and asked, " Where's our thief?" Lami chuckled and said, " She's probably out stealing somewhere."

Lami knew that Carina was probably held up somewhere stealing treasure as she gave her tips on how to steal without getting caught.

She was right as Carina was stealing treasure from pirates who are unaware. However, Carina got greedy and wanted everything they have and ended up getting seen when she was escaping.

As time passed Lami heard a commotion coming from the direction of the island. She saw Carina running toward their ship with a big sack slung over her shoulder and she was being chased by pirates.

Lami turned to her crew and smirked, " Told you," she said as stood up from the figurehead of her ship, jumped into the ground and started moving toward the approaching pirates.

*Zoshh...* The sound echoed as Lami used Haoshoku Haki to knock out the pirates that were chasing Carina.

Carina, out of breath looked back and saw the pirates that were chasing her all collapse into the ground. ' Nanda?!' she thought in shock as Lami walked up to her and said with a grin, "You had fun stealing again, I see."

She smiled at Lami, " I didn't steal it, I happened to find it laying around on the floor so," she said as she winked toward Lami.

" Hai Hai, let's get moving we need to hurry somewhere," said Lami as she helped Carina carry all the treasure she stole.

" Why are such in a hurry?" Carina asked as they walked towards the ship. " I was on a call with my brother, there's a chance the Navy may know our location so we need to leave," Lami said as she boarded the ship.

"You have a brother, is he also a pirate?" Carina asked as she followed Lami onto the ship, " Also you talked something about an auction earlier." added Carina.

"Yeah, his name is Trafalgar Law, and yes we're going to attend an auction," Lami said as she started the ship."Trafalgar Law?" Carina asked. "I've heard of him. He received an offer to become a Shichibukai, right?"

" Yeah, that's the one," Lami confirmed. " What!," exclaimed Carina. Lami simply just shrugged her shoulders like it was nothing. " I see, so what are you going to buy at the auction?" asked Carina in a curious tone.

Lami looked toward Carina with a mischievous smile, " I'm going to buy a Devil Fruit," she replied. " They sell Devil Fruits?!" exclaimed Carina in shock, " Yep and if you're lucky we may get one for you too," added Lami.

Carina's thoughts were racing with the possibilities of obtaining a Devil Fruit. She never thought that they were people who sell Devil Fruit but rather always thought that they grow on some magical tree somewhere in the Grand Line.

She has seen people use them before and she always wondered how it felt. She always wanted to eat one herself and obtain god-like powers.

Reiju was uninterested in the conversation regarding Devil Fruits as she had her Raid Suit. Alexia on the side wanted a Devil Fruit as long as it was a Mythical Zoan.

The ship sailed away from the island and Carina looked back at the island. She smiled as she thought about all the treasure she had stolen. She knew that she would be able to use it to help her crew and she was excited as she hoped to obtain a Devil Fruit.

The ship sailed for a few days and Carina and Lami talked about their pasts. Carina told Lami about her life as a slave and how she escaped. Lami told Carina about her life as a pirate. The two women bonded over their shared experiences and they became close friends.

Finally, the ship reached its destination and the dock was full of different pirate ships, it seems Lami and her crew are not the only ones attending the auction.
