Title - Assigning Task and News

"Y-you…"

"Yeah, me." Leucadius said, his tone amused but due to the immense amount of light, Halaliel was unable to see it.

"You are God..?" She asked in both disbelief and dissatisfaction as her gaze pierced through the light in order to get a read on his facial expressions…her efforts were futile though as she was unsuccessful.

"It depends on which context we speak of." Leucadius began before his tone turned a bit serious. "It has come to my attention that you are in your second life, and have lived for quite some time."

"..." Hala merely frowned while choosing to remain silent.

"There is no need to be on guard, in fact, I would like you to remain as unruly as you were just now." Leucadius said with a chuckle seeing her reaction.

"As I was…?"

"Of course." Leucadius said and snapped his finger, causing reality to distort. Halaliel immediately found herself in an opulent western styled office with a white haired Man sitting opposite her. "Once again, it is nice to meet you."

Halaliel squinted her eyes at his greeting. She could vividly remember that this man hadn't introduced himself, not to mention, saying it was nice to meet her, but she chose to be the bigger woman and ignored it.

"Likewise."

"Hmm, so you were curious about something right? Ask away." Leucadius intoned as a glass cup appeared before her. "Tea? Wine? Or juice?"

"...Tea." she replied and immediately, her cup was filled with an aromatic tea scent.

"Uquila, one of Heaven's most expensive Tea leaves. Help yourself." Leucadius said as he picked up his cup and took a sip.

Halaliel saw this and did the same before dropping her cup and looking straight at Leucadius. "...In Heaven, are our thoughts not our own?"

"Why do you ask that?" Leucadius asked, his smile not leaving his face.

"You were able to speak into my head while also knowing what I was thinking." She replied without averting her eyes from Leucadius'. For some reason, despite knowing that she was doing something wrong in questioning her God and Ruler, she felt at peace doing it by gazing into his eyes.

"Hmm. Before I answer that question, can you answer this for me? What is communication?" Leucadius asked Halaliel who immediately wore a confused expression.

"Communication is the art of conversation. The exchange of thoughts, words, ideas, and all matters necessary to enable understanding." Halaliel replied after giving it a bit of thought.

"A great answer. And how is that achieved?" Leucadius asked again.

"I don't think I understand."

"How is exchanging thoughts, ideas, words and all things necessary for understanding…achieved?" He asked again.

"Through…" Halaliel immediately became confused as she tried to come up with an explanation. How do we exchange understanding through words? Isn't it by using words?

"Intent." Leucadius said, breaking her out of her thoughts. "All living things are able to understand each other through Intent. Gods, or Higher level existence like ourselves are gifted with the ability of All speak; an ability that ensures that we understand anything we hear and say to each other."

"That sounds a bit far fetched. Humans don't have that ability." Halaliel said, causing Leucadius to smile brightly.

"In the future that is…" Leucadius said before snapping his finger once again causing the scene to shift to a village on earth. "Observe." Leucadius said as he began walking with Halaliel following right behind.

As they walked, they saw as the humans talked with each other using words that made no sense yet they all understood each other.

"I don't-"

"Shh, you're not observing." Leucadius stopped her before she could speak further. "Look." Leucadius said with intent this time and as though a barrier she had placed for herself was broken, she immediately saw it.

Waves of energy bouncing off each Human as they went about their daily lives. Whatever they said was passed in the form of energy which the other party's brain absorbs and interprets before the process repeats itself.

"They don't have a cognitive control over that ability because they are unaware of it." Leucadius said.

"This is impossible. Then why-"

"...were there over a thousand languages in the future?" Leucadius completed her question to which she nodded.

"Because I'm going to totally block off that energy in due time. Then they will be forced to learn to control that energy." Leucadius said coldly.

"And why would you do that?"

"Because ignorance breeds stagnation. Stagnation is the antithesis of what I embody." He smiled as the scene shifted again and they were back in the office.

"Did that answer your question?"

"Not really. You still haven't answered why you were able to listen in on my thoughts."

"As I said, I didn't. Words are Energy. Intents are…codes used to interpret said energy." Leucadius replied and turned to the side of the office where a few books lay. Stretching out his right hand, "An example is…Come." He ordered and the book immediately flew into his hand.

"Think of it as Word Magic. The Brain is a pool of energy, the words you use are the circuits or conduit in which those energy pass through. However…what if I do not need an interpretation? I could directly decide to get a read on the energy itself without waiting for you to convert it to words."

"That doesn't make any sense. You're basically telling me our minds are an open book for you to read whenever you please." Halaliel slammed the table angrily.

"Eh? Is it? I had no idea…perks of being stupidly strong, eh?" He said smugly. "Anyways, I have answered your question, how about you accept a task from me."

"Huh!? Like hell I'm gonna do whatever you want."

"Hmm? Really? Aren't you a member of my Kingdom? That's weird, I thought I was an absolute power up here." Leucadius said in confusion while scratching his chin thoughtfully.

"You…! Tsk. What task?"

Leucadius immediately beamed and clasped her hands from over the table and said. "I knew I could count on you." As he said that, a bright light shone in from his hand which held hers.

"What are you doing?"

"Fear not little one. You are all my children. If you've done nothing wrong, I see no reason to harm you." Leucadius tone changed to that of a loving father.

"What the fuck? Are you schizophrenic there?"

"How rude!? I will have you know that I am still your father and I will demand the respect I deserve." Leucadius said with a pout before laughing at her expression which said; What the hell is going on here?

"You should see your face. Priceless."

"...The Task,"

"Hmm?"

"What's the task?"

"Why the hurry? You don't wanna spend some quality time with your dear old daddy?"

"I swear to God if you don't speak this instant I'll blast that face of yours in!"

"How can you swear to me…about harming me? This lass, you must have some mental issues that need to be addressed."

"Father!" Halaliel seemingly couldn't take it anymore and screamed at Leucadius.

And as if to match her scream, "Yes!"

"Please…what is the task?"

"Ah, you see those Humans? I'll be leaving them under your supervision. In a few years time, they will try to centralize their population in one area. Use that seal in your palm to attack them."

"What? You want me to kill some innocent Humans?" Halaliel had a look of disbelief as she heard this.

"What?! Do I look that heartless to you?"

"Then why attack them?"

"That's not an attacking technique, it's a scrambling technique." Leucadius said to clear her misunderstanding.

"Scrambling technique?"

"Why do you think I made us have this conversation aboutWords, Energy, Language and Intent?" Leucadius rolled his eyes and stood up from his chair before walking to a shelf that Halaliel could swear wasn't there before.

Pulling out a book, he flipped through it as he spoke. "You see little Hala, we Gods are granted the All speak simply because we are born with purpose not entirely of our own. Humans, on the other hand, haven't reached that stage yet."

"But this is taking matters into your own hands. Even if you created them, its-"

"Oh but I never said I was their creator." Leucadius tore his eyes off his book and glanced at Halaliel before smirking. "A man and a woman, yes, their descendants, yes, but humanity as a whole? I'm not that powerful, Hala."

"But the biblical story-"

"A story written by a man brought up to heaven. Yes, Adam and Eve were engineered by me, but not their creation. To create living existences out of nothing but the very earth itself…is something so godly that only with the infinity stones can I achieve such a feat."

"You-"

"Let's not talk about that any more. This task I have given to you, and from here on out, gather a few angels that will document every known language that will spring forth from the scrambling."

"Can you stop interrupting me, Father?" Halaliel said through gritted teeths.

"Hmm? Oh…apologies." Leucadius said. "Now off you go. I have a banquet to prepare for. It's not everyday we see a group of Gods coming to Heaven to party."

Halaliel wanted to protest, but before she could even muster a sound, she found herself standing on the spot she was during Leucadius' short appearance to the inhabitants of heaven.

It was as though everything that had happened was nothing but an illusion, and she was so close to believing that only for a Sharp pain to assault the palm of her right hand.

Raising it up to her eye level, she saw the familiar seal that Leucadius, or God, to her, had placed on her.

'So all that actually happened?'

"Of course it did. Who do you take me for?"

'Get out of my head you bastard!'

"Gasp* What a low blow Hala. Truly low. Now, now, off you go, Aspect will give you your mission objectives and stuff related to it." Leucadius' voice sounded once more before she truly couldn't feel his presence anymore.

Leucadius POV.

What a cute little girl she is. A bit pitiful but cute nonetheless. To think that someone would actually be reincarnated into this World. Was it TOAA's doing or was it just a fluke?

Anyways, I do have high hopes for the girl. Having lived a life of true freedom in the future Japan, and then being in a place and time period like this where Power gives you authority to do whatever you please, her reactions were truly a welcomed one.

Leucadius was sure that were it any random angel or even his host, none would be so bold as to show such level of disrespect due to fear.

Some might argue that disrespect was a form of sin, and sin was against my nature, but I beg to differ. The very nature of Humans was to sin. Sin is a state of being not something that can be made.

One's outer behaviors, words, actions and all what not is not what makes one sinful, but their innermost of hearts. The very state of wrongness. That was sin.

To explain it would be equivalent to explaining Conceptual existence or Energies, and that wasn't something I was going to be doing. I wasn't that bored.

It is similar to how there is life and there is death.

If there was good, there would be evil.

If there was Virtue, there would likewise…be sin.

It was that simple state of existence. Living by virtue makes my Energy flourish. Therefore, why would I, like other Pantheon of Gods, encourage sinful acts?

Their energy isn't reliant on Things such as Virtue or Sins…hmm? Some actually thrive on sinfulness, but some just have enormous Divine energy. Anyways, their Energy isn't reliant on conceptual things such as those, so if they went against things that I consider Holy, they're the bad guys.

Why am I saying this?

Simple, I was currently researching Warding magic that would restrain Gods of my caliber if they go against certain principles that will be laid during and after the Banquet.

Kukukuku, I am well on my way to becoming the One Above All in this Universe of mine.

[My Lord, please desist from laughing in that manner. It will paint the wrong impression on your subjects.]

"Tsk. Aspect, what do you need?" That kill-joy. Can't someone have his own moments?

[Your son, Samael, or as he now calls himself, Lucifer Morningstar has managed to usurp a good portion of the Underworld for himself and his subjects.]

"Oh? He's already that powerful?"

[My Lord, if not for the fact that he was young, I'd reckon he'd have already usurped Mephisto from his throne.]

"Heh, now that you mention it, I did see that bastard during that court summon…hmm. That is good."

I guess that settles it, time to send an invitation to my unruly son.

[That has already been done, but is it wise?]

Motherfucker. You did it without telling me and now you're asking if it is wise? "Why wouldn't it be?"

[The other hosts.]

"It is of no consequence. He's already a Lord over a territory. They must show no form of disrespect when under my invitation." I said with a smile that wasn't really a smile.

[Understood.]

Lucifer was to become my source of power in the future. With him spreading evil and temptations all around, I was sure to receive the Purest form of Energy should his actions be repelled.

"Wouldn't it be a great source of joy in Heaven should one sinner manage to prove my dominion over him?" I asked no one in particular.
