Chapter 8

*TWICK* CRACK* SWISH*

In the darkness of the night, two people were fighting as if their lives were on the line. One was so strong each fist make a cracking sound and tore apart the earth.

The other was fast and wielded a wooden sword with such finesse one would think she held it at birth.

This is amazing.

My body is so much better now. And I am not talking about speed or strength. It feels as if I am light as a feather.

I didn't feel as if I was sluggish before but now it is as I'd my body is moving before I even tell it to.

I quickly brought up my bokken to block a hit that took me off my feet.

We had been doing this for a while. Mostly Shiro attacking and me defending, just like the start of my fight with his son.

Landing on the ground I took a deep breath before I rushed back at him.

I quickly slashed my sword at his chest, only for him to meet it head on with his fist. You could say that it was an unfair advantage as I wasn't using a real sword.

The feeling as if my bokken hit concrete said otherwise though. His touki was insane just like his sons.

Nevertheless, I am not the same person as before. Touki is your life force, or ki if you will.

Everyone has it in them locked away. Using it though is another story.

You need to either train your body to the extreme or cheat through senjutsu. I currently have neither.

But I do have an inkling of an idea on how to win this. Devil Magic.

It uses your imagination to form the desired result and your 'Demonic Power' as the fuel.

Soo I will wing it! I pushed everything I had into my sword. My flimsy demonic power barely had an effect but my fighting spirit blazed alive.

I don't know if this is ki but..I want to win.

I stepped into his guard and thrust at his heart. Only for him to sidestep it and throw a menacing right hook.

I parried it to the side and slashed at his eyes. (A/N: How does someone parry a punch? Freaking skill!)

His touki pulsed as he focused on his forehead and he headbutt my swing mid way.

*BSHHH*

We struggled for dominance for a bit before I kicked his side and he flew away.

For the first time in this fight, I had the upper hand.

"Are you alright? I didn't mean to hurt you Oji-San!" I said taunting him. He gave a short laugh before charging in.

Once again my bokken met his fist in a fight for dominance.

I was devastated when I heard the news that my son had died. He was well into his twenties and was no longer living with us. He had moved out and joined Yasaka's personal squad.

He was going to be the next sage he always said. The next Sun-Wukong. Heh that rascal could barely even use touki.

Using my husband's connection as the best arms dealer we asked for the whole story. To our surprise Yasaka herself showed up at our doorstep and gave us the full story.

A devil by the name of Anton Vassago tried to reincarnate my son as one of his own. Reason unknown.

My little Rae fought it and in distress pulled on the only source of strength that could give him a quick boost in strength. The malice and miasma of the world.

He somehow sucked up every bit of it in Kyoto and jumped to the Ultimate-Class.

He then left Urakyoto and destroyed a small portion of Kyoto. Before a lone swordsman named Okita Souji managed to stop him.

I was both thankful and mad. Thankful that he put my son to rest. And angry that he took his last moments from him.

He is quite popular right now. Especially since he became the first and only member of Serafall Leviathans peerage. His tale has already spread far and wide.

Especially the part where it said he was turned into a beautiful woman. Now everyone believes Serafall somehow tinkered with it.

Some of the younger devils want to know how so they can 'broaden' their collection.

Bunch of perverts if you ask me.

I would eventually make my peace with it. On the other hand, my husband wouldn't settle down until they butted heads.

Sigh lately he has been so restless he spends all his time in the forge. Sadly he may never meet the one who killed our son.

And yet against all odds our daughter, Rei, brought that very same person right to our door.

The moment I saw her I was amazed. A delicate beauty. Full of grace and charm. Very discreetly she had a sharp aura as well. Like a well polished sword ready to strike.

I was polite however, I had a nagging feeling that something wasn't right. And the guilty look she gave me was no better.

Eventually, my daughter went to bed and my husband joined my side as she introduced herself.

Okita Souji. She was here. In the flesh just a few days after the death of my son. It took a lot of effort not to yell or scream.

Haha. It was worthless though as Shiro just punched her outside. Well, my gut tells me she isn't a bad person. She even apologized.

Giving a small smile I watched as my husband got smacked on the side of the head with a bokken.

Well. I can forgive her. I believe Shiro will as well, based on the smile on his face. As for Rei. I believe it is best we don't ruin her 'Onee-San' for her.

"Well this is certainly mischievous. Even for you." I said as I turned to look at my companion on this cold night.

Yasaka gave a soft chuckle as she gestured for me to sit down as we watched my 'Queen' and Kanemoto Shiro duke it out.

"You said you would give her a new sword." Serafall pointed out.

"Indeed. I could give her several swords. And yet none of them would be as good as the one Shiro could make her." Yasaka said with a smile.

"Kanemoto Shiro asked me to introduce them anyway. This is just two birds with one stone." Yasaka raised her arms as if asking 'What can I do?'

I quirked a brow at that. Well it wasn't that big of a deal anyway. And Okita-Chan looks like she is having fun. Hahah. How cute.

"Come on let's end this. Use the technique that felled my son!" Shiro-Kun shouted out as he flared his touki.

Okita-Chan gave him a sturn look before acknowledging his request.

"Very well" She said as she shifted into a familiar stance.

"Hey! Hey! Yasaka! You are going to want to see this." I said excitedly.

"Hmm? Is this the famed 'Ultimate' move of hers" Yasaka questioned?

"Yeah. It is quite interesting." I said.

Then Yasaka and I fell into silence as we watched Okita-Chan spring forth.

And it was just like I remember. Three attacks so quick it almost seemed like one.

One she used as a feint to get Shiro-Kun to block.

The second hit him in his spleen taking a chunk out of his touki.

And the final hit the back of his head breaking his touki.

The Mumyou Sandanzuki. It never ceases to amaze me.

Looking over Yasaka's mouth was gaping like a fish. Haha.

Man. My 'Queen' is the best.
