Cure

9S' POV

I ran to the main computer and got to work.

"Pod 153 hack now." I ordered

She started scanning but something wasn't right cause she was taking too long.

"There is a security system I cannot bypass on my own." said Pod 153

"So what do we do?" I asked

"Proposal, we have to enter the hive mind." replied Pod 153

"But wouldn't I get infected after?" I asked

"No the cure will destroy the virus completely so you will not be infected." said Pod

"Then let's do it, Pod 042 covers our backs." I said

I closed my eyes and then when I opened them up again we were inside the computer. Everything around us was white like always.

"We have to hurry in order to save the others." I said

I ran down a path and I saw block shaped arrows so I ran at them as they noticed me and started shooting at me. I dodged most of the bullets and started slashing my way through the enemies. My Pod shot her Gatling gun as my support and took out all the arrows with me.

"Is that it?" I asked

"No, this is only the first blockade." replied Pod 153

"How many blockades are there?"

"Scanning, there are 8 blockades."

"8 blockades?!"

I sighed but kept running straight down the path.

Creed's POV

I clutched my cut on my arm as blood streamed out from it.

'Damn it, I won't be able to last.'

I looked up as 2B approached me, her blood dripping with my blood. I quickly grabbed a bandage and just wrapped it around my shoulder. I grabbed my one and only pain killer I had and injected it into my arm.

"Die." growled 2B

She swings her sword down but I raise my sword up and block it. She swings her sword down multiple times, every hit gets stronger and my arms get weaker. So when she raised her sword up again I lunged and grabbed her stomach. I tackled her to the floor but this was a mistake cause she punched me face and rolled over and now she's on top of me. She raises her sword and tries stabbing my neck but I moved my head to the side as the sword hit the floor next to me. She raises her sword again but this she grabs my hair so that I can't move my head to avoid it.

"Die."

Before she could she stab me I bridged up my waist forcing her to lose balance and fell off of me. I grabbed my sword and got back into a fighting stance.

'Nines, hurry up.'

Avery's POV

A2 was tough, I couldn't even lay a scratch on her. Even with 4S we were struggling to even catch her off guard. And it wasn't because we lacked teamwork, our teamwork wasn't bad, it was just that she was too fast.

She kicks 4S' face to the ground and tries to impale him but I tried to slash her but she blocks it and does a spinning hook kick to my face. I fall to the floor but when I look up I see A2 stomp her foot on 4S' chest pinning him to the floor. I tackle her to the ground allowing 4S to get up and fight A2 with me.

I smashed my sword against her sword but she blocked it with ease and tried to slash at my neck but I leaned back and 4S managed to slash her arm. She stumbles back and clutches her arm, her face showing signs of pain. She stops clutching her arm to reveal a bloody hand and a cut but not too deep.

"I think we made her mad." I whispered to 4S

She charges at us and jumps up in the air and spins midair and smashes her sword at the ground in between us and the force threw the both of us off our feet. I crashed into a pipe and I groaned and laid on the ground. My back was aching from the impact and I couldn't get up.

'Come on, get up.'

I looked up to see 4S trying to get up but then A2 started to approach him.

"No A2." I groaned

I tried to crawl towards A2 but she turned around and looked at me. Now she turned away from 4S and made her way to me. I slowly got up, using my sword as my support to get up. I got into my fighting stance, my knees buckling, my arms shaking, I couldn't stand straight up. On the other side 4S got up as well and got into his fighting stance.

'Please, hurry Nines.'

9S' POV

I stabbed the last arrow with my sword and collapsed to my knees. I just got through the eighth blockade and I can get to the hive mind.

"No time to waste." I mumbled to myself

I got up and jogged to this wall and it opened and on the other side there was something disgusting. In the middle of the room there was a huge human brain standing there.

"This is the hive mind?" I asked

"It sure is." came a voice

Someone punched me from the left of me and I fell to the ground. I rolled over and slashed my sword at the attacker but missed. I looked at the attacker and I gasped.

"Avery?"

"I'm not Avery." replied the Avery looking person

She started walking around in circles next to me but then she changed into Creed.

"I can be whoever I want." said Creed

Creed then changed into 2B and I started getting mad.

"Who are you!" I demanded

She then changed into A2 and I was about to lose until it finally hit me.

"You're the virus." I said

A2 smiled in a menacing way and charged at me.

'I fought her once, I'll fight her again.'

We clashed our swords together and a huge brawl broke out. But I noticed that even though she had the figure of A2 her fighting style was completely different, giving me a chance to win. I was about to stab A2 but then she all of a sudden turned to Avery which caused me to stop in my tracks and then she looked up at me with tears in her eyes.

"Nines?" she whispered

I slowly lowered my sword but then I remembered that she wasn't real. Luckily I was able to remember that fast enough to dodge Avery's attack. Avery changed to 2B and she charged at me and we again fought a one on one.

"Pod 153, support!" I yelled

Pod 153 charged up her laser gun and fired at 2B knocking her away. But when 2B got up the ground began to shake and pillars began to rise up from the ground.

"What's happening?" I asked

"You can't stop me, I have control of everything." said 2B, "Now everyone you loved will die. Starting with Creed."

I got so mad that I charged at her and swung my sword down at her. She blocked it with her sword and kicked me away and my back hit the pillar. I groaned and looked up but then I looked at the brain of the hive mind and it hit me.

"Wait, you're not the virus." I figured it all out

I got up and pointed my sword at 2B.

"You're just trying to stall time aren't you."

2B looked at me with a surprised face but then it immediately changed back to a normal face.

"I'm right." I whispered

I threw my sword at 2B, impaling her shoulder and pinning her to a pillar. I summoned a spear and looked at the brain.

"It's over." I whispered

I ran and jumped up and struck the brain.

"NOOOO!" yelled a robotic voice

I shoved the spear deeper into the brain and everything started shaking. The structures around me began to collapse.

"You're never going to take anything from me, never!" I yelled

I shoved the spear deeper and the robotic voice started screaming and the brain exploded knocking me back to my own body.

"Did we do it?" I asked

"Yes the mission was a success." replied Pod 153

"Creed." I whispered

I got up and ran out of the control room and climbed down the stairs but when I got to the platform, my heart sank.

Creed's POV

The blood in my arm kept spilling out but I had to ignore the pain and push forward. 2B ducked under my swing and slashed my stomach. I gasped in pain and fell down onto my knees, clutching my stomach. But ignoring the pain I got up and grabbed the sword with both of my hands and swung downwards but 2B and did some move where she hit the top of the sword and then the bottom of it forcing me to lose grip of my sword. The sword flies away and lands a few yards behind me.

I looked at 2B in fear and she slashed her sword at me and cut off both of my arms just below the elbow. I scream in pain as both of my arms fall to the floor in front of me. Blood gushed out like a waterfall from both of my arms. Then 2B grabbed the back of my neck and stabbed her sword into my stomach. I coughed out at least a cup of blood onto the floor, blood pooling up underneath me. I slowly lifted my head up to look at 2B's emotionless face. It pained me more to see 2B so emotionless about killing me.

"2-2B." I whispered

She pulled me in closer to her and forced the sword to go in deeper. I gasped and started breathing harder and faster.

"I-I'm so-sorry." I gasped

She looks at me with the same emotionless face, her two glowing red eyes staring into my face.

"I-I lo-love you, 2B." I mustered all the strength to say those last words

A gust of wind hit the both of us but not enough to send us flying but 2B started screaming and shaking her hand still on the sword and we both collapsed onto our knees. I looked at 2B whose head was hung down but then she slowly started to lift her head up to reveal her beautiful blue eyes. Her eyes widened and gasped when she looked at me.

"Ah you're back..."

I felt so cold and I collapsed onto the floor and passed out.
