Ch 29 : Trapping White Fang

One by one, the Konoha troops entered Suna's basecamp.

And only when about 70% of Konoha troops had entered the basecamp did Chisaki decide it was plenty enough.

Yup, the moment Konoha troops entered the basecamp, they knew they were fucked up.

The basecamp was actually empty, with no one, no supplies, or even no necessary strategic measures here.

Chisaki's strategy this time was the complete opposite of Zhuge Liang's empty fortress.

If Zhuge Liang used an empty fortress to make it look full to deter the enemy, Chisaki, on the other hand, made the enemy believe that the fortress was empty and decided to occupy it only to realize that they had fallen into Chisaki's trap.

If it was just earth dome, then the Konoha troop might still have some way to escape, but they really were out of option this time.

The whole dome was filled with explosion tags, and if they made a wrong move, then Chisaki wouldn't be so merciless to detonate the entire dome, killing everyone inside.

The last six months had made Chisaki realize that his biggest trump card now was his ability to move terrain.

One of the most significant weaknesses of the explosion tag was its immobility. Still, since Chisaki could move terrain, he could move the explosion tag to the enemy's location and explode them right before the enemy eyes, getting massive casualties in just a simple effort.

Now that he had seen this, White Fang's eyes grew gloomy.

The enemy didn't kill the konoha ninja but instead take them as a hostage.

It was not because they had lost the battle, but more than because about nine hundred Konoha ninjas were trapped in that big dome full of explosion tag.

For the kindhearted White Fang who cherished his teammate, this huge number of 900 Konoha Ninja was not something he could just abandon.

If the enemy was to kill the 900 Konoha Ninja, then White Fang might do a frenzied charge at the enemy, but since they were captured, White Fang was really tied on his hand.

He might be able to take down Chiyo if he tried, but if it was with the cost of 900 Konoha Shinobi, then it would all be not worth it.

' It seemed that soon the second ninja world war would end, huh. *Sigh* Orochimaru.. Konoha.. wait for me in the Third Ninja world war..'

A few days later, another big news came to shock the whole ninja world.

Konoha and Iwa went to battle, and Suna chose not to interfere.

Although they won the last battle, they still had a lot of casualties, and furthermore, they had nothing to gain in this war.

They could win against Konoha was only because Konoha was not desperate enough, and they only sent White Fang here as they thought the situation against Suna was pretty stable.

If Suna ever attempted to claw into Konoha's land, it would be inevitable that Konoha would send more than just one Kage-level powerhouse against Suna.

The two villages were now in a ceasefire, and the two leaders of the villages were still negotiating about how to take care of the hostages.

On the other side, after learning about Suna's victory against Konoha, Iwa thought they could take advantage of the Konoha latest defeat and beat Konoha. What they didn't expect was that since Suna and Konoha were in Ceasefire, Konoha could focus a lot of their firepower in Iwa.

This actually ended with the Iwa suffering a heavy defeat, and even the Tsuchikage's son was severely injured in a clash with Sakumo.

Sakumo, who now had a black dent on his record because of Chisaki, decided to go all out, and in the one battle against Iwa, he was able to regain back his popularity.

Now with Suna's situation being stable and the defeated Iwa, all that's left for Konoha was to handle both Ame and Kumo.

For this, Sakumo was sent toward Kumo while the trio Sannin was sent to handle Ame.

The war continued, but it was of no concern to Suna.

No matter what the result was, they have obtained what they wanted.

Now the Kazekage was negotiating the terms with the Hokage.

Two old foxes negotiating with each other, maybe this negotiation would, in fact be a lot harder than the war.
