Aftermath 2

Inside the hokage office, Asuma finished his paper work and he sighed as he remembered the sad look that Kurenai did, she was looking away but he sensed it.

knock knock*

The door to the office opened and Shikaku walked inside with a stack of papers in his hand, he put the papers down and it released the sound of thunder in Asuma's ears.

"Are you ready to meet the Daimyo?, he is only 20 minutes away before he is here" Shikaku asked Asuma as he set his eyes on the finished papers.

"Yeah i am ready, but Shikaku, how is the rebuilding of any injured house is going?" Asuma suddenly came back to his senses and he asked Shikaku with a serious look.

"It has been good, Yamato made good use of his wood style and he quickly rebuilt the houses that were damaged or destroyed" Shikaku said and Asuma released a sigh of relief, now he had one less thing to worry about.

Suddenly Asuma raised his head as he felt a strong chakra signature along with another chakra signature walking towards his office, Shikaku noticed the look and he stopped talking.

Asume called the person in, the door opened and Jiraiya along with Naruto walked inside the room, he had a neutral expression while Naruto still looked slightly saddened by what happened to the village and the third Hokage.

"Asuma!, long time no see" Jiraiya said with a smile as he lokoed at Asuma, he narrowed his eyes as he saw him sitting in the hokage seat.

"Jiraiya, long time no see indeed, now what if the reason your here?" Asuma responded with a nod and a question as his eyes locked with his, he has been outside of the village for years and he suddenly comes back.

"I want to take Naruto with me to search for Tsunade" Jiraiya said with a serious face, Asuma narrowed his eyes as he looked at Jiraiya, he does not want Tsunade back in the village as she could disrupt his plans.

"Fine, but if anything happens to the 9 tails you will be held accountable, and also if Tsunade does anything out of line i will declare her as a rogue nin" Asuma looked at Naruto and said, he felt the chakra of the nine tails, it was huge and hot, like the sun.

"Yes" Jiraiya narrowed his eyes as he thought about what Asuma said, it looks like Tsunade will have a hard time becoming the hokage as Asuma seems to want to become the Hokage too, Jiraiya rubbed his head in frustration.

"Well we are going, come on Naruto" Jiraiya walked towards the door as he nodded to Shikaku, Naruto quickly walked after him like a lost puppy and they left the room.

"Shikaku, follow me as i can feel the Daimyo is already here" Asuma stood up and he walked out of the office, Shikaku followed and they waited at the front of the hokage building, there they saw the daimyo walking towards them with his guards.

"AH!, Asuma boy it has been a long time since i saw you" The daimyo greeted with a smile as he looked at Asuma standing there, Asuma smiled before he walked towards the Daimyo.

"Good to see you again Daimyo san, please come in to talk" Asuma said with a polite tone as he invited the daimyo inside to talk, the daimyo nodded and a few seconds later they were inside the hokage building drinking tea.

"Asuma, i would like to ask you about the situation of the Village" The daimyo asked while drinking his tea, Asuma nodded before taking a paper out from his drawers.

"First of all, the student of the third hokage, Orochimaru, attacked Konoha causing 30 ninja casualties and also the death of the third hokage"

"The second thing is that i took power of the village temporarily until somebody can take over, but since there is no one i decided to take power from now on" Asuma said as he put the paper down, his eyes landed on the daimyo and he waited for his response.

"Only 30 casualties, very good and it seems like you are also suitable to be the leader of the village, well from now on you are the Hokage" The daimyo said with a smile as he sipped on his tea with a sigh.

"Well that was all for the meeting, i will be going now" The daimyo stood up to walk out and Asuma followed him, they reached the mobile of the daimyo and the payed ninjas easily lifted his cart.

"Take care daimyo sama!" Asuma said with a smile as he watched the back of the daimyo disappear, his smile slowly vanished and his face regained the normal way he looks, calm and calculated.

Suddenly Asuma looked towards the left and he saw an injured leaf ninja limping towards him, He quickly rushed to him and layed him down on the floor, he looked at the wound and flinched as the ninja won't survive.

"What happened?" Asuma asked the injured ninja with confusion, the ninja opened his eyes barely alive and he started telling what happened.

"W-we were a-attacked by t-the land of lightning!, everybody e-except i was killed" the ninja said and Asuma froze for a second, this did not happen in the original, why would the land of lightning attack them.

"I see, it looks like i have to prepare for war" Asuma said as he watched the eyes of the ninja lose their light, he stood up and looked at Shikaku.

"Organise a village meeting in an hour" Asuma said while he walked away back into the hokage building, his fists were clenched in anger and nervousness, he can't believe that the plot changed, is it a butterfly effect?.

"Yes" Shikaku replied before he walked away to do the order of Asuma, soon the whole village knew that a village meeting was being held and they quickly rushed to the hokage square intently as they wanted to be there to hear him talk.

Asuma sat in his chair as he heard all the voices outside the window scream and shout or talk really loud, he got up from the chair and walked outside to the balcony.

"Hello everybody!"
