[ Land of Lightning ]

"AHAHAHAAHA!" loud laughter rang out in the office of the raikage, A the fourth raikage was holding his stomach as he hunched over in his seat laughing with tears in his eyes, a few seconds goes by and he stops laughing.

"Hmmm, with all things considered, the konoha village is at it's weakest.... this could be an opportunity to finish what we were unable to do back then" A says as a cold light flashes in his eyes.

"Mabui, get the troops ready!" A says as he stands up and roars, Mabui looks at the raikage with confusion, even if Konoha is the weakest it has ever been, from what she heard, the new temporary leader Asuma Sarutobi is quiet the force.

"Lord Raikage, are you sure?, konoha still has Jiraiya and the newly formidable Asuma along with the many more Elite Jonins and clan leaders in the konoha village" Mabui said with worry, just one clan leader in Konoha is stronger then an Elite jonin, not to mention Jiraiya who can match the raikage.

"MABUII!!!, get the troops now!" Raikage shouted as he looked at his assistant, Mabui sighed before walking out of the room in distress.

'This is not looking good...' Mabui thoiught as she walked outside.

[ Land of stone ]

"So this old wolf Hiruzen died huh?, and by his own sensei's and students none the less..." The Old Onoki said as he put his scroll down on the table, in his eyes nostalgia flashed as he remembered all the times they have clashed at their peak, shaking the mountains from there mere clash.

"Onoki - Sama, what do you intend to do now that Hiruzen is dead?" Akatsuchi the advisor of Onoki asked as he looked at the scroll.

"Hmm, send a letter to the land of lighting, Konoha is at it's weakest it has ever been, now it's just a great village teetering on the edge of collapse" Onoki suddenly changed as a cold look flashed in his eyes, the land of stone is not a good terrain, if he can get at least 20% of the land of fire, it would be worth anything.

"Yes!, i'll get ready and gather the troops!" Akatsuchi said in a loud voice, even tho Onoki told him to send a letter to the land of lightnin, it was only to see what they are plannin and if there intrests conflict.

Akatsuchi is known as the shield of Onoki, he knows what he is thinking, and without any further delay he walked out to start the gathering of troops in a way that it won't alarm Konoha.

[ Land of wind ]

"Damn it!, this bastard doomed the whole village to death with him!" Chiyo and elder of the sand village and also the second most powerful person in the village yelled as he looked at the newly returned sand team.

Chiyo looked at Garaa conflicted, ever since he returned she has noticed that his chakra has grown a large amount, and the dirk circles under his eyes has become shallower and less, she could also feel the chakra of the tailed beast not corroding his chakra and mind anymore.

"Now i have to deal with the repercussions of your damn useless father!" Chiyo Said with gritted teeth, she is one leg in the grave, and does not have the strength she had in her prime,if a war breaks out from this, then she won't be able to protect the village.

"Hmmm... we don't have a choice anymore, we will just have to do as they say"" Chiyo said with gritted teeth as her eyes flashed with a hint of sadness, nobody wants to see their home getting humiliated like this.

Knock knock*

"Chiyo sama, an envoy from the land of fire has been sent here" A ninja bowed respectfully to Chiyo as he handed her a letter, chiyo took the letter and opened it, she started reading and she put the letter down with an ugly face.

"These bastards...." Chiyo says as pain flashes in her eyes, the request by konoha is outrages, but they also made a comment of what would happen had they not comply with their request, Chiyo grinded her teeth in anger as she looks at the sign on the letter.

"Asuma eh?, nothing like your father!" Chiyo said with envy in her eyes, why could the sand village not have talented ninjas like these.

"Go and prepare a 100 million ryo, along with the secret technique of how to make basic puppet ninjas" Chiyo finally said to her brother, Ebizo.

"Yes..." With Hesitation Ebizo nodded as he went on his way to do the request, but he had a deep unwillingness in his eyes, the 100 milloion ryo is not the problem here, it is the basic ninja puppet that is the problem, the sand village is one of the great villages because of the puppet techniques.

[ Land of fire ]

5 hours later

"Hmm, it seems that the sand village excepted our deal, but with the requirements that the leaf and sand village will remain in a friendly term" Shikaku said as he read the letter to Asuma.

"Hmm, agree to the terms, in a week i will be going there in person to get the things we requested, and in the mean while get ready as the daimyo will be visiting us tomorrow in the after noon" Asuma said as he looked at the letter that was sent by the daimyo.

"I assume since you served and protected the Daimyo everything will go as planned?" Shikaku asked with some worry in his voice, if the daimyo stops funding the village, then it will be bad.

"Why are you worrying?, you actually think that the daimyo has any power over us, let me tell you, i have been in the land of fire dealing with the daimyo, and i found out that he is kind of... like a Mascot" Asuma said with a shrug as he went back to finishing all his paper work.

Shikaku looked at Asuma in surprise at what he said, he never even thought about the dai,yo like that, never mind calling the daimyo power less, maybe it is better for Asuma to be the village leader?.

"Oh yeah, the report of the battle has been compiled, 30 ninjas has died, 25 genins, and 5 chunins, civilian casualty is 0" Shikaku reported the information he found out and he put the scroll on the desk.

"Hmm, give each family 250,000 ryo from the money the sand village will give us" Asuma decided as he looked at the report, Shikaku nodded before he walked out back to his work.

Knock knock*

Asuma looked up and a smile formed on his face as he heard Kurenai knocking on the door, he called her in and he smiled as he saw her beautiful face.

"Hey... Asuma are you gonna come home today?" Kurenai tried to act casual as she looked at Asuma with sadness, for this whole month she barely even slept in the same bed as Asuma, and barely saw him this whole month.

"Sorry Kurenai... but i can't, i need to meet the daimyo tomorrow" Asuma smiled sadly, but he quickly got himself back up as he looked at Kurenai, he needs to get ready for what the daimyo might say, he does not have time.

"Oh... well goodnight" Kurenai nodded before turning to walk home, her face saddened, Asuma did not know as he just bid her goodnight and dived back into the small stack of papers on his desk.

[Border of land of fire and Land of Lightning ]

In the middle of the night, 3 figures hidden in the shadow moved gracefully, their figures vanishing like ghost, they moved in the dark forest without making a sound, but soon they came to a stop.

"Captain, is this it?" A voice came out from behind, the captain in an Anbu uniform took his mouth piece off.

"Yes, get ready to act" The captain said as his eyes locked on the Leaf ninjas Patrolling the border, they were all chunins and genins, so he was not worried.

"GO"
