In the study room. Sasuke and Sato sit facing each other.

Sato retrieves a scroll and gives it to Sasuke.

"Its account of mines and stores"

In the sangoku period (warring state period) there is no fixed location of the Sarutobi clan and they move around.

In this period they develop a keen sense for oars and mines.

Wherever they move they search for such resources nearby.

In their travels they found several occupied by local tribes and a few unoccupied mines.

So to protect miners and watch over them they keep some clan ninjas there which rotates every few years.

They have lots of metals and oars they keep what they can use and for the rest of them, they exchange other resources that they need.

But this method is quite redundant and sometimes others doesn't need oars as much as they want their supplies.

So in this situation, they open shops in nearby big cities closer to mine for business.

In this case, they have several shops which are in different cities.

Sasuke took the scroll and put it down without looking and asked,

"How was your journey? Anything notable?"

"Well this time around it is safe, most of the bandits and rogue ninja flocks towards the ninja village in hopes of joining them. And strong ones already become parts of ninja village."

"There are now five major ninja villages and a few minor ninja villages."

"Uzushio also emerged as a powerful ninja village but they are highly xenophobic and discriminate against outside ninja which joins them preventing them from truly becoming the sixth major ninja village."

Sasuke interjected, "What about our ninjas did they gain something in Uzushio"

What is the role of a ninja other then spying, assassination, and sabotage?

So it's common to have spies mixed in while the village system is not perfect and also due to the village openly inviting people to join them.

A newly formed village lacks both population and various skilled workers in different fields to meet the basic demands of people.

So it needs people to form a basic market.

What is to talk about war with an empty stomach?

It is the same here, to meet people's basic demands they need people even if they are spies.

And Uzumaki clan wants to be reclusive but various clan joins different villages.

It is clear that they can't rival a village by the might of a single clan alone and has to adapt according to a situation.

"Well, just low-level sealing technique which is easily available in any small clan, I think it is a waste of time and their potential in such a place."

"Their arrogance knows no bounds (Uzumaki). They treat them as if they were their servants. "

Sasuke tapped the desk in contemplation then said, "Recall the young one and for adults let them stay, and act according to the situation. "

"What about Land of Iron, did they form a village of Samurai or any ninja force."

Sato said, "No, till now there is no indication of any type from the land of Iron."

In the race to form one village and one nation almost all nearby nations participated. And in such an environment Land of Iron stands out and is likely to maintain a neutral response.

As a neutral nation, it gains a lot of popularity. Trade between various forces takes place in open and secret.

"Tell me about our shop business. "

Sato answers, "Besides Land of Iron, all our business is affected. Especially in the land of other three nations"

(Wind, Earth, and Lightning)

Land of Water is a distant continent and it is not easy to move as a group so the Sarutobi clan has no mines in the Land of Water and hence no business (or shops).

"And the shops are not even in Ninja Village and their capital city. "

"There is constant surveillance like we are thieves or bandits and it has affected our business "

"Customers who come towards our shop walk past our shop due to the stressful environment they created"

Sasuke said after some thought, "Well they should be after the source of oars and the identity of shop owners. "

In the sangoku period there were no borders, but now after the new world order people and land are divided.

Peoples starts to identify themselves with lands, borders, and nations.

"Let them stop injection on new oars and sell shop under the impression of business loss."

"Owners must be our people who change their identity as local and don't rush to inject oars from mines, give them funds so they do business like others."

(buy oars at a low price and sell them a slight higher price and gain margin)

"Also do change in business, like hire a smith and craftsman and let them learn alongside selling some finished goods"

"And minimize the purchase of medical and other resources. We don't have to worry about them now."

"I have made some deals with new clans, and we can purchase various resources at appropriate rates at Konoha and don't have to spend manpower to protect and send resources from far away."

Sasuke then stood up picked up the scroll which he hadn't opened from the beginning and stored it in the filing cabinet behind him.

Sato also stood up and seeing Sasuke's action said nothing, after all, they had known each other since they remember.

They trust each other more than brothers from the same mother.
