deceiving the hokage

"I'm home!" Eiji shouted as he closed the door. Soon, he heard footsteps approaching the house entrance.

Sakumo saw his children and was a bit puzzled. Why was Kakashi being carried? "What happened to Kakashi?" Observing his son, he assumed that nothing serious had happened.

'I never thought this phrase would make so much sense in my life,' Eiji thought, finding it quite funny.

"Well..." Eiji placed his brother on the ground and sighed. "My lovely, adorable little brother courted death," he said, looking into his father's eyes.

'Courted death?...'

"And does this death have a name?" He asked his son with a smile.

"Uzumaki Kushina."

Upon hearing the woman's name, Sakumo completely ignored Kakashi's situation and said, "The food is almost ready, wake up your brother, and let's eat."

"Okay. I'll just throw him in the shower, how annoying." Eiji said as he dragged Kakashi away.

*******************

"Damn, that witch almost cracked my head," Kakashi muttered, sporting two huge bumps on his head.

"You really like courting death, Kashi-ni, pray she doesn't hear about it again." Eiji teased his younger brother. In truth, he'd pay to see it happen again; it was hilarious.

"Shut up... Damn, it hurts," Kakashi complained softly.

"She'll pay for this."

"Kashi-ni must want an early death." Eiji saw his brother spit out words one after another, almost inaudible, like a string of curses.

"Well, are you excited about the new class?" Sakumo asked. He no longer expected a normal childhood for his two sons; as much as he wished for it, geniuses didn't have that luxury.

"No, I hope to get rid of them in one week and graduate," Kakashi immediately denied. Sakumo didn't know what else to do with him; he wasn't the sociable type with strangers.

"I'm with him on this one. School is pretty useless for both of us," Eiji nodded. He remembered why he hated going to school. It was as boring as hell.

"Let's go, Kashi-Kun."

"Hn."

"Greetings, my spectators! Today, we will hold a ninjutsu competition for young aspiring ninjas, for this shiny silver kunai!" A voice came from the street.

Kakashi's ears perked up when he heard about this competition, and he looked at the prizes, saying only one thing. "I want that."

"Are you sure? We only have a few minutes before the class starts," Eiji said, looking at the time.

"Hnm, but I like it," Kakashi said. "I'll sign up soon."

"Hello, young one, do you want to participate, remembering that only ninjutsu counts!" The old man said; he loved these competitions sponsored by Konoha.

"Hatake Kakashi."

Realizing the kid in front of him didn't have many words, he wrote down his name and sent him off. Kakashi quickly noticed his brother was up on a tree napping and joined him.

"We've seen several young ones showing off their talents! The next contestant is Uchiha Obito-Kun!" He shouted excitedly, and the crowd went wild.

"With some of these competitors, winning this competition would be a piece of cake!" Obito boasted as he climbed onto the makeshift stage.

"Number seven, Uchiha Obito-Kun, step forward."

"That's me!" Obito ran to the presenter's side and showcased his jutsu. "The jutsu I will perform is [Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu]," he said, puffing out his chest.

"Wow, amazing."

"Go for it, Uchiha."

"Rock!"

As he formed the hand seals slowly, the Uchiha shouted, "[Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu]," and only a few flames came out, disappearing seconds later. It was embarrassing. Only a little girl was applauding him.

"Six points! Seven points! Seven points!"

"Ohhhhh!!! Those were good numbers!"

"You did well, Obito."

"Hehe, I was feeling a bit off, but there's no doubt the prize will be mine," Obito said, giving a thumbs-up gesture.

"Now, on to the last participant, Hatake Kakashi-Kun."

"Get on with it," Eiji yawned; waking up in the morning was exhausting.

Soon, a young man dropped onto the stage in a very cool style and immediately yelled, "[Earth Style: Earth Waves]" as the ground rippled like waves.

"Ten points! Ten points! Ten points!"

"And we have a champion!!!!"

"Wowwwwwwwwww"

Kakashi quickly grabbed the kunai and left.

"Hatake Kakashi!!!!" The young Uchiha gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, declaring the name as if it were a curse.

"Don't worry, Obito, you were really cool there," consoled the young girl.

"Let's head to the academy." Eiji hopped down as Kakashi followed, admiring the kunai as he played with it.

*************************

"Class, we have 2 new students, please be nice to them."

"Hatake Kakashi."

"Hatake Eiji."

"...."

"..."

Their introduction was like that, dull and unimpressive. But the students' reactions weren't.

"Wow, the famous Hatake siblings."

"I heard they skipped classes like crazy."

"Are they single?"

"Death to those who wear beautiful masks and scarves."

"Kakashi Hatake, I CHALLENGE YOU!" shouted a young boy with black hair and an orange visor.

****************************

"Hatake Kakashi, I challenge you in shurikenjutsu!" declared the young boy. He wanted to prove himself and show that he was cooler than Kakashi to his beloved!

Kakashi just looked at him and ignored him.

"Damn it!" Obito gritted his teeth in anguish.

"I'll show you I'm better than you!" Obito grabbed his shuriken and threw them at wooden targets but...

Bang Bang Bang

"Hey, are you trying to kill me, Obito?!!" shouted his Jonin instructor. The book saved his life.

"Hahahahahaha"

"How bad can you be, haha"

"He almost hit the teacher!"

"Hahahaha"

"It's your turn, Hatake Kakashi," the instructor announced.

Kakashi nodded slowly as he picked up his shurikens and threw them all at once. They all hit the target dead center.

"Incredible"

"Wooooowww"

"As expected of Hatake"

"It was as good as your brother's."

"Damn you, Kakashi Hatake!!!" The Uchiha boy gritted his teeth; once again, he failed to show his cool side to Rin!

**********************

"Class dismissed," the teacher announced.

"Teacher, when will the next genin graduation take place?" This time, it was Eiji who asked. He had been thinking furiously and came to a conclusion! The Hokage deceived them.

"In 8 months, why do you ask?" The teacher didn't

understand the reason for the question. They had just arrived here, and they wanted to leave already?

Kakashi's eyes widened when he realized he would have to stay in the academy for another 8 months. This couldn't be happening!

Eiji signaled him to calm down. "I'll handle this; let's go to the Hokage after class." As Kakashi calmed down, Eiji stood up to face the Hokage.
