Will Of Fire

<author- I know I forgot to post the chap yesterday so for today, I have written a really big chapter for y'all>

I am standing in front of my class right now, 1A.

"oye Kuroko, how much time are you gonna take, come on," the male Inuzuka twin said as he took me to an empty seat in the classroom.

the classroom was full of chatter and I could see children of different hair colours everywhere, I and Inuzuka had taken the first seat.

as I was waiting for the teacher to come, I felt someone's gaze on me. To my surprise, a young kid of innocent and cute looks, with height a little below my own was staring at me.

the giveaway was the onyx eyes, black hair and the Uchiha clan crest on his shirt.

Itachi Uchiha, huh, now this feels interesting.

"alright children, we have to gather outside on the shuriken training ground as the Hokage has come to educate you all about being ninjas." the young chunin known as Murata Masahi, our classroom teacher said as he took us to the ground.

the third Hokage granted many titles such as the professor, god of the Shinobi and some others. He looked more or less the same to his anime counterpart, black hair with bundles of white in between, a weird kind of beard, a red regal-looking kimono and the cap of the leader of the village, when he walked to the podium, all the children eyes attracted to him, with admiration, excitement while the chunnins looked at him with respect, such was his fame in the village for he was its light.

of course, no one except me knew how he REALLY was.

To me, while he had some charm, it wasn't enough for a transmigrator like me to look at him with admiration, he was just a mere hypocrite in the history of hypocrites.

"When the tree leaves dance,

One shall find flames.

The fire's shadow will illuminate the village,

And once again, tree leaves shall bud anew." the third's voice boomed everywhere in the field.

"This is the will of fire that our village believes in and ninjas give their life for.

The entire village is like a large family unit and every Konoha shinobi with the Will of Fire loves, believes, cherishes, and fights to protect the village, as previous generations had done before them."

and that was it, it wasn't a big speech as that would be worthless for children, but almost as if he was Dumbledore, all the children acted like they were introduced to a new part of life, their eyes burned with the fire to protect the village.

In short,

they were brainwashed.

on the mass group of children, I spotted Shizumaka and Shizu who looked like they too were affected by this said ' will of fire', and to my surprise, Itachi looked ....excited, hopeful, and other emotions flickered on his face which I couldn't exactly recognise.

You know, I do feel pity for Itachi but, saving him now would be extremely tough.

Nonetheless, I don't even know Itachi, sure I saw the anime and I know how he WILL be, but do I really know him at all, I am unknown to the current six-year-old Itachi.

He is not even my friend or even acquaintance for that matter, I could feel that due to these reasons, my efforts to save him were already reduced even before they started.

To be honest, it feels like I am paying tribute to the future Itachi, what I feel, is not exactly a burning desire to save him. Probably some pity, some anger, some irritation, I don't even know myself what I feel.

but it's not like I can do something right now, so I should probably just be me, enjoy this life, I got. friends now, a very caring father, and abilities that could save me at crucial points.

Though Amaterasu is in a bit of a clutch, while I dont know the weakness of my logia body, as water jutsu's could hurt me or maybe not, I have yet to check. after all, I can't exactly show people my logia body, not even my father.

the most prominent problem right now is my stamina. While I do have monstrous stamina, my Amaterasu consumes it ravenously, I can barely maintain my logia form continuously for 20 -30 seconds as of yet.

I thought I would be able to spam Amaterasu everywhere but sigh...

.......................(now to all the people who thought Amaterasu was way too OP, this is the debuff, and no, to be able to use Amaterasu on the level of Ace, it would take tons of stamina. so no quick OP ness.......I thought people would kinda like OP mc, but sure this is cool too. Also mc has no plot armor or protag aura, his only plot armor is his Amaterasu..)

after the Hokage's speech, we were taken back to class, where for the first two hours, we were made known that we will be taught theoretical knowledge only for two months except taijutsu training.

and after some breakfast, we were taken to the training ground where everybody's level at the start of the year is checked.

"alright children, before we start this month, we will do a level check, you can pour everything you know into this," Masahi said to us as we were standing in a horizontal line, in front of us, a circle drawn from white chalk.

"The first would be Extra 1 vs Extra 2"

as the two children of the civilian background came to the circle, they did a seal of confrontation as taught by Masahi.

and then started the battle, which was more of a brawl, to be honest, sloppy punches here, some kicks there, and one fell out of the circle.

the fight ended with an extra 1 winning the battle...

similarly, many fights happened, some got eliminated so, passed.

" now Shizumaka against Itachi"

as the two made their way to the circle,

both did the seal of confrontation, Shizumaka was excited while Itachi looked calm, by just looking at his calm state, one might not expect him to be just six years old, not that it mattered in the ninja world.

as the fight started, Shizumaka quickly jumped into the fight, as he started attacking, and the black-haired Uchiha counterattacked.

Shizumaka was getting blocked again and again, and only some of Itachi's attacks hit him as his beastly reflexes saved him from time to time, I had to admit Shizumaka had some strength, it seems he was not just bluffing in the selections.

but sigh, Itachi....was just better, soon Itachi knew most of Shizumaka's moves and how his reflexes even got triggered, it had not yet been 2 minutes in the fight, when suddenly, Shizumaka started losing, then one punch to the face, a kick to make him slip, and another punch to his face while he was falling, and Shizumaka was unconscious.

all the girls suddenly started cheering him, while the only one who was a little bitter was Shizu, after all, while she would not admit it, she cared for her brother, and seeing him in a bad state made her feel angry.

" now, Shizu vs Kuroko Hyuga"

as Shizu and I were in the circle, Shizu suddenly pounced on me, while I did consider Shizu but still we have only known each other for like 2-3 days.

I redirected her punch while hitting her at the stomach with a punch, now normally Hyuga would only use a gentle fist, but Shizu was still my friend, you might not have known but sealing the tenketsu hurts a lot, especially for children.

as the fight continued, I continuously redirected her attacks while counterattacking with some punches and kicks of my own.

I had not opened my byakugan and Shizu was visibly getting angry as her attacks were failing.

the fight had stretched to 2 minutes, so I thought to end the fight now as I knew all her attacks by now, as she was about to throw another punch, I suddenly increased my speed, bent down beside her and hit her neck, with a powerful chop, after all, chakra or no chakra, blood still needs to go to the brain.

Shizu was unconscious and the fight ended, some girls were cheering for me but they were visibly less in comparison to Itachi.

Huh, why though, is this because I am a Hyuga...

the next fights were more or less unexpectedly easy, I did not have to open my byakugan once.

maybe I expected a little too much from the civilian children.

" for our last match, Itachi Uchiha vs Kuroko hyuga"

Itachi and I entered the circle and maintained eye contact for a few seconds, he must have thought, that was all I could do, poor kid.

I know he can use the Uchiha fireball jutsu, a C class ninjutsu, that might be his only way to win this fight, or so he can wish.

the fight started with his intention of hitting my legs because it is very difficult to redirect the attack to the legs.

his speed for pretty good for someone his age, so I too went all out.

my speed, power and precision looked like they went to a new level, but it was just me doing my best.....kind of.

as the battle continued, I understood his fighting pattern, and redirecting him was easy enough, sealing his tenketsu on the other hand was tough, he was extremely vigilant, still, I was able to seal two of his chakra nodes on his arm, and he looked like he was in a little pain.

"it seems, I can't defeat you using only my taijutsu"

as he jumped back, he started making seals, and WITHOUT shouting the name of the jutsu, launched said jutsu at me.

if I said I was expecting the jutsu, it would have been an understatement, from the start of the fight, I was extremely vigilant.

the fireball jutsu launches a fireball at the opponent of about 1-2 metres depending on the person using said jutsu. the drawback about this jutsu is that if it is not used as a surprise attack or quick enough, knowing its trajectory and avoiding it is doable.

when he launched the fireball jutsu, I was already out of the way, as his chakra dropped and so did his vigilance a little, after all, he did not expect anyone to evade this jutsu.

so I went beyond my limits and came close to him and took the 8 trigrams sixteen palms stance and started the attack.

as I sealed eight of his very important tenketsu, Itachi lost his consciousness.

the cheers of the girls were loud this time, while some were still booing at how Itachi lost.

nonetheless, the number one in class 1A was me.
