Reili
I don't know if this book will exceed you first one, since in almost anything, you can't exceed your first big shot, but I really have high hopes for this since its from Reili, though I don't really expect it to exceed "The Divine Anime System"(Though I'm not trying to say anything against you Reili, just feel like TDA System is and will always be the best). Just have some hope for the future of this new novel.
This story was an, absolutely amazing read that I would have recommended to anyone remotely interested in system or action novels... until around chapter 1220~ At that point the author went on a huge hiatus and when he came back it wasn't the same story anymore. There was no excitement, The MC was absolutely not who she used to be, and the plot was so rushed it physically hurt. I consider it forever an unfinished story but don't let that super late failure stop you from enjoying the masterpiece that is the first 1219 chapters
I fell in love with this WN almost immediately. The premise of an OP protag reincarnating into a weak body and cultivating isn’t new BUT it sets itself apart by focusing on how the protag uses her experience to teach her new found friends and help them cultivate—at least initially. The story takes a severely downward turn in the latter half (around chp700 I believe) where it completely butchers the core friendship storyline it was developing in favor of a romance and abruptly neuters the protag’s power level for the sake of it. I won’t spoil anything, but the protag literallt never loses a fight (by which I mean get severely injured or need assistance) until the love interest becomes prevalent and then she suddenly gets injured for the sake of this love interest taking character EVERY TIME the love interest is in the story arc, without fail. The worst part was that it was developing with the concept of “I need to learn to trust the friends I cultivated” but it throws it out the window for “Conveniently strong love interest saves the day while my friends are useless”. Utterly dissapointing with how it develops but the start of the novel is amazing and it’s well written. If you don’t mind the romance, I highly recommend.
So I really like parts of this book and exploring the world the author has created, but there are just some staggering let-downs that I just can't get over. I am up to chapter 718 and dont plan to continue because there is no improvement from chapter 1 to now so I don't see a reason to continue. The world background and story development is interesting enough to keep me reading through 700 chapters of poor comedy attempts, bad dialogue, and no planning. I hate this because I really enjoy looking into Reilli's own world and exploring the world with them, but at the same time I have to sit through seemingly torturous writing to explore it. The comedy is god awful and just repeated over and over. It is just unbearable hearing the same comedy dialogue over hundreds of chapters and tens of hours of reading. It is never creative and it doesn't get any better. There are novels out there that do much better with jokes, funny writing and one liners out there, I wish the author would improve on this. The worst joke in this series, where Shiro is practically bragging about her achievements, is just like NTR to me, as it just makes this novel unreadable. The characters are so shallow and most of the time only seem to serve one purpose until the author can think of something else to just magically write to make it seem to have more depth than it does, for example, Madi at the beginning only had 1 dialogue to input and that was to comment on Lyrica's and Shiro's relationship. There are some mistakes here and there and the spelling/names of things change sometimes which is a little annoying but it is what it is, it is readable and you won't care most of the time. I pray the author improves on some things but maybe it is just me with these thoughts as chapter 700 still has a stable following so maybe they are just into this sort of writing.
As a first off, I can't speak too much about the stability of updates, since I read it very fast and didn't pay all too much attention to the update rate, but from what I can remember, it was pretty darn good. This novel is phenomenal. It has a very interesting and deep plot that's incredibly well written, without a lot of the grammatical errors you'll commonly find in novels nowadays (not that they make novels unreadable, but they're nicer to read without grammatical errors.) The story, world, and characters are all very well developed, sometimes going quite slowly, and sometimes quite fast. While it may seem like certain aspects of world building and certain things like a main antagonist are missing at the beginning of the novel, there is a reason. The novel introduces them later in the story, and they aren't given at the beginning due to said things tying into the main plot. Overall, this novel is absolutely worth a read. Just be a bit patient, and put in the time to read all 1000+ chapters, and you'll have an amazing experience. If this review was a bit convoluted at points, I apologise.
this story is to good to be at 4 stars. there are zero problems in grammar, nor spelling. the updates are stable character design is in depth the world building is stable and not rushed. the story development is always keeping a proper place, it slows when needed and picks up when needed. this would make a great manga and a great anime. is there anything in the works for a manga?
Over all, this book is amazing: the world building, the characters, the antagonists, the plot… EVERYTHING. I enjoyed the story it delivered and the ups and downs it fed while reading. I’m sad it finally ended but also glad I got to see how it ends too… I even teared up with mixed emotions. It has come a long way since I first started following it at around its middle chapters and if it’s ever printed in physical form, I’ll try to get my hands on it immediately. Thank you so much for the story and it’s wonderful characters; I’ll be there for the next book too.
