Chapter 4

For the first time in a long while, Harry felt free.

He was surrounded by the hostile Hydra teams, he knew. And yet, he had never felt so relieved before.

And it was wonderful. Wonderful and exciting.

He glanced at the woman, still trapped in his spell.

Did he need her anymore? Well...killing her will only bring Shield's fury on him now.

With a sigh, he waved his wand towards her, breaking the connection between them.

The woman dropped to the ground, her head frantically looking around. "Wha...who? How?"

Before finally her gaze came to rest on him.

"What did you do to me?" She whispered harshly.

"You are safe, miss 33." Harry assured her.

It did not seem to work though, because the next moment she was on her feets, closing the gap between them.

He ducked under her jab, and swerved to the side to dodge her knee, before gripping her hand and throwing her over his head.

"Son of a bi–ahh!" The woman crashed upon the sofa, bouncing a little before she came to a stop.

She didn't attack again, taking deep breaths to calm herself.

"That was rude." He stated.

"So was controlling me." She groaned out, rubbing her head. "How did you do that? Some kind of voodoo magic? And how are you so fucking strong?"

"You do not seem afraid."

"Oh, I am." She said, pushing herself upright. "I'm just doing my FUCKING best to not panic!"

Harry didn't know how to respond. Comforting a target wasn't in his list of skills.

"You should keep calm and sit down." He finally stated.

The woman giggled. And kept giggling before she finally broke out laughing. "You...do you realise how ridiculous this looks?"

Perhaps he should just kill her and be done with it. He wasn't going to stay for Shield to find out anyway.

"A child breaks into my house, mind controls me, throws me around like a doll, and tells me to calm down! Don't you see how ridiculous this is!?"

Harry ignored the hysteric woman and concentrated. He could hear the Hydra cars parking outside. Running had never been an option, they would've been quickly hunted down. He had hoped the Shield would be here by now. Afterall, this was a safe house provided by the shield to their employee.

"How old are you anyway? Eleven? Twelve?" The woman continued.

He hesitated a little before replying. "Nine."

The Shield Agent grimaced, her eyes softening slightly. "I heard about Hydra using children but... I never imagined it to be true. Wow. This...this is way above my pay grade."

"You need not do anything. Just sit quietly. I will deal with the intruders."

He quickly removed his gun, holding it in one hand while the other held the wand.

"Wait, intruders? There are more of you!?"

"I'm not with Hydra." He snapped. "Not anymore."

"Ahh... alright. Is that why you called shield here? To surrender?"

He ignored her again, walking forward to shut the door behind them. He had chosen a room without windows because of the sniper. But this also meant that they didn't have a path of retreat.

"Hey, don't ignore me! You owe me some information after seeing me naked!"

He blinked at her. What a weird woman.

"I did not see you naked." He replied, shaking his head.

"Oh really?" She snorted. "So if I see the CCTV, I won't see you peeping at a naked me?"

"I simply scanned you and made some observations. That's all."

"I'm sure you did. Would you like to tell me what you observed?" She asked, a smirk forming on her face.

"Like the fact that your breasts were too small to hide a weapon."

There was silence in the room as the woman gaped at him incredulously before her shock turned to anger.

"They aren't small!" She defended, bringing her hands to cover her chest as she glared at him.

"I said 'to hide a weapon', miss 33."

"It's because of the towel." She muttered under her breath, ignoring his words. "The towel push them inside too much so they look small."

He sighed. How was this a Shield Agent?

"And for the record my name isn't 33. It's Kara Palamas. The least you could do for insulting me is call me by my name."

"If you do not having anything better to do then take a gun and ready yourself." He snapped at the woman.. "They may not kill me but that courtesy won't be extended to you."

She finally seemed to understand his words, scrambling around in search of something.

"Damn, I just forgot about that. This is too much to take, you know? Freaking nine year olds mind controlling you and ordering you around. Then darned Hydra itself coming for your life! Sorry if I'm whining but yeah, just...too much."

He could hear the doors being broken as the Hydra thugs entered. Closing his eyes he centred himself, bringing forth all the hatred and anger that he had for the Hydra, hidden in his depths to keep them clueless.

For the bogus dogshit food that they fed him, for the torn up clothes that they made him wear, for years of torture and abuse, and most importantly, for forcing him to kill his pet puppy, the only thing that had truly mattered to him, as part of their 'toughening program'.

He was ready to tear them into pieces.

As soon as he heard the last door broken, he burst forth, leaving the windowless room to face the intruders.

"Avada kedavra!"

The green flash struck the first agent's face, instantly killing him.

He took advantage of their surprise at magic and shot two bullets through the next couple of targets.

His killing curse was too slow in close combat, practically useless due to how much time it takes to spell it out. So the pistol was his first choice of weapon.

But bullets were less numerous than magic. So he will need to mix things up and save his bullets.

The 3 slumped down dead bodies created a barrier, keeping the next few guards from entering. That didn't mean they couldn't shoot of course. With automatic assult rifles in their hands, a quick line of bullets will be all it took to put him down.

But Harry wasn't useless either.

They opened fire, aiming for his legs, and a faint translucent wall materialised in front of him, blocking the bullets. But the assult rifles shot a continuous stream of bullets, quickly making cracks appear on the wall as his magic strained to hold up the barrage even though he was pumping the magical wall with all of his energy.

It was times like this that made him curse Hydra for not letting his teacher teach him the Protego spell. His wall was simply too weak, getting strained by simple bullets.

It got so bad that he had to drop his pistol and put his entire concentration in maintaining the shield, keeping a steady supply of magic.

Thankfully he wasn't alone. 33 came out of the room wearing a tactical gear with black bulletproof vest, and two loaded glocks.

Her guns fired twice in quick succession, accurately shooting down his two assailants.

"Well done, 33!" He couldn't help but say as sweet relief spread through him. "Now cover me, I have a plan."

"What do you think I'm doing?" She retorted as her glocks burst out rounds of bullets. "And you can call me kara by the way. If you didn't already know."

With the brief reprieve that he got, Harry picked up his pistol even as he swished his wand in the air, aiming at one of the agents as they entered the room.

"Imperio!" He bellowed out.

He only let the spell be for a quick second before diving out of the line of fire. But that second was enough to put a single order in the man's mind.

'Kill them.'

The man must be particularly weak willed because he didn't even hesitate, instantly turning around and firing at his colleagues point blank. There was no escape from that and the shocked group of agents were gunned down by their own man in a matter of seconds.

Did they not know about his abilities? The way they acted made him think that his existence was much more guarded than he'd believed.

Harry couldn't ponder further because someone from the back snapped a command.

"Team two, back off! Flash grenade!"

The small oval grenade flew inside the room and Harry had just enough time to drag 33 down and create a hasty wall of magic when it went out with a bang.

His weak wandless magical wall was quickly punctured through, breaking apart like a brittle piece of glass. His hands instinctively clutched down on his ears as the last notes of the ringing grenade assulted him.

Another trio of men entered the room and Harry dove to the side, taking cover behind a marble counter even as his pistol shot at them with almost perfect accuracy.

He felt something crack underneath his knee as he sat up. Belatedly he realised he didn't have a wand in his hand. Fearing the worst, he scrambled away to look under his knee.

"Oh..." He whispered as his eyes took the two broken pieces of wood.

His distraction cost him even more when a bullet pierced his shoulder. He went down with a cry, leaping away from further fire to hide behind the counter again.

"No!" 33 screamed out, coming in guns blazing to reach him.

The one remaining man ducked down, switching his target to 33. With gritted teeths, Harry concentrated enough to quickly fire off a Wandless magic blade. It landed accurately on his neck, though it didn't decapitate him due to his clothes.

Yes, Wandless magic was very weak.

The man still fell down, clutching his bleeding neck tightly. A bullet to the head from 33 finished him off.

"Where are you hit!?" 33 asked as she came to kneel beside him. "Let me see."

"Just a shoulder wound." He waved her away, even as his shoulder throbbed in agony. "I've had worse."

"Be quiet." She snapped, her eyes peering at the wound. "And didn't I tell you to call me Kara?"

"Ares is here! Retreat!" One of the men yelled out from the front lawn.

"Oh thank god." 33 breathed a sigh of relief. "We're saved."

"I need to leave." He muttered, pushing the woman away as he stood up.

The pain in his shoulder was bearable. He wasn't lying when he said he'd had worse. And he also wasn't worried about any medication. As long as he slept for 8 hours, he will be as good as new. Even if he was on the verge of death before sleeping.

Gamer's Body was just as useful as Gamer's mind, if not more.

"Where do you think you are going!? You are in no condition to walk!" 33 yelled out, trying to hold him back.

He stared at her, confused. "I have no idea what you are talking about. My legs feel just fine."

She just stood there, even more confused and bewildered. "Excuse me, what?"

He took this chance to shake her off and started for the exit again. "Do not follow me, 33. I shall see you.. whenever I see you."

Hopefully never.

The scene outside might've as well came out of a movie. Two sides stared at each other, holding their weapons at ready. Each side sported their own organisations symbols. One side was, of course, Hydra. Proudly showing off a skull with 6 octopus tentacles sprung around it. The other side, S.H.I.E.L.D, had a flat eagle spread on their chests or shoulder. With weapons ready, the two behemoths were ready to tear into each other.

The only one to stick out was a man in his late fifties, standing at the very front of shield members. He wasn't particularly muscular, nor did he look very athletic. He looked...old and weak. Someone who had no business being present in a battlefield.

Ah, a super soldier. He had heard about Ares, sidekick of Captain Carter aka Captain America. Hydra had made sure to warn him against the man. He had a personal grudge against them, and being caught by him would be a death sentence.

There appeared to be a tense ceasefire between the two teams. The Shield probably didn't wish to get their initiates in crossfire, while Hydra was quite outnumbered.

Harry and 33 must've eliminated over a dozen of them personally. So they slowly trickled back into their cars and the Shield let them, keeping a fixed paranoid gaze.

Taking advantage of their tense focus, Harry ran for the woods around 33's house. There was a river stream a mere kilometer away; his plan was to escape through it.

"Wait!" Agent 33 screamed after him. "Atleast tell me your name?"

He stared at the woman for a long second. When was the last time that someone asked for his name? He couldn't remember.

"Harry." He finally replied. "Goodbye, Agent... Kara. It was a pleasure fighting alongside you."

And with that, he turned around and ran for the river. He had no intention of sitting in Shield's cage till they made sure if he truly was away from Hydra anymore.

And thus, with a half-loaded pistol in his hands, Harry potter jumped down a river, ready to experience freedom.
