Chapter 23

Hope

Things hadn't changed over this year. River was a sadistic asshole and tired to pin me every chance he got despite of Caleb's many warnings he simply just didn't care. We were coming to the end of our final year we'd all applied for university and we were all about to find out which ones that we were going to.

We all sat down tearing the envelopes open we all had a few rejection letters but we got a few acceptance letters. Caleb looked unhappy that we didn't get into the same uni, was this the end of us? I hoped not. He'd helped me through so much, on the bright side me and Josh got into the same uni the guys were close by, but it meant we had to either sleep in the dorms or get a place to stay.

Me and Caleb sat alone. I knew what was coming and I was dreading it.

"I'm sorry Hope I was kinda hoping that we were going to the same uni."

"Me too."

"This is going to be hard on the both of us and a long distance relationship is going to be a strain, and I'm not sure if we are going to be strong enough for it."

"So what are you saying Caleb? Are you dumping me?"

He took my hands in his. "This is really hard for me Hope, I love you."

"But love isn't enough, right?"

"I'm sorry Hope, we'll be just too far away for this to work."

"I understand." I said, getting up his hands and leaving mine. "I get it you just don't want to fight for what we have, I get it." I turned walking away.

"Please Hope. I love you."

"Not enough. Goodbye Caleb."

"Hope."

He ran over to me grabbing my pulling me around. "Don't do this Hope."

"Do what?"

"Shut me out."

"I'm not, you made your decision without thinking about how I would feel. Three years Caleb, three fucking years. Does that mean nothing to you?"

"Of course it does."

"Not enough to fight for us though."

"I love you Hope when I return, hopefully we can pick up where we left of."

"I don't think so, you want us to be over, so we're just that, over." I said, with tears in my eyes.

I can't believe he was leaving me just like that after everything we'd been through.

He pulled me closer. "It doesn't have to be completely over Hope it's just four years."

"Then what will happen? I'm going to camp remember we won't see each other, so it may as well just end here and forget what we ever had."

"You don't mean that Hope."

"Yes I do. Maybe we should've just stayed friends then leaving you wouldn't be so hard."

"I love you Hope I always will." He said, smashing his lips on mine kissing me passionately with tongue.

I pulled away."I'm sorry Caleb I have to go." I said, before running as fast as I could to get away from him, tears falling off my face.

"Whoah. What's the rush?"

"I'm sorry."

"What's up Hope?"

I looked up through my bloodshot teary eyes. "Josh."

"What happened Hope, why are you crying?"

"It's over Josh, he left me."

"What the hell?!"

"He left me Josh."

He pulled me in and I cried on his shoulder. "What did he say Hope?"

"That we would never work long distance, so the best thing for both of us was to call it a day."

"That asshole after everything. I'm going to kill him!"

"Leave it Josh, it's not worth it. We're starting a fresh, it was my mistake to believe that he would never leave me after everything

"Come on let's get out of here."

I nodded and we walked away from the college thsi was going to be a new begging for all of us I just needed to forget about Caleb and move forward with my life. I had camp this weekend and I wasn't going to let this get in the way of my future.

Two weeks later

Hope

I hadn't seen or spoke to Caleb since we had ended things between us what I did know Josh had confronted him and broke his nose and some of his ribs for what he'd done to me though I had told him not to bother.

Me and the guys had returned to camp. Josh was sad to see me go, but I'd be back on two months, so we could get ready for university.

Scar and greeted us all and showed us all to our cabins. They were a lot different to the ones we had when we were here for camp, these were the trainees cabins across from then were the trainiers cabins. We were to be trained alongside the trainer so we knew what was expected of us.

The training rageeme was hard but with it I was paired with Scar, what a surprise! Hint the sarcasm!

The guys were with Dom, bulldog and the Sargent major. It was tough but truly exellurating.

Me and Scar were working well together, the campers would be here in a few weeks at end of July till the end of August. Scar pushed to the brink, he loved training that much I could tell and I think he had a little crunsh, but I chose to stay quiet.

He was older than me and I didn't want it to effect our friendship, we were alone training, but he had other ideas. We lay on the grass after an intense work out.

Scar looked at Hope he leaned down, with Caleb out of the picture it gave him a chance to be in it. He'd waited two fucking years for this and sick of hearing all about how much she loved Caleb, but now they had decided to go their separate ways they were both going to different universities and had decided it was best for now that they called it a day and seperated till they had both finished college. But, Scar had other ideas.

He wanted her to join him at the camp full time, though he was in the army he wanted her to expand and give kids the opportunity she once had to go there and learn to fight and defend themselves from bullies. He was going to train her, she'd got a place there for her internship for four years then she'd be under his wing for another two years, then he would return every six months to see how she was progressing. He edged closer to her.

She looked so lost and she had no idea that the guy that was trained her to be who she was today had feelings for her. He pressed his lips on hers kissing her. She lay shocked. He slid his arm around her waist, she gasped and he slipped his tongue in kissing her harder and harder until she returned his kiss.

He kissed her passionately his tongue twisting with her, god why did she have to make him feel like this? He knew he'd eventually have to leave her even if he didn't want to. He wasn't sure she could be a army guys girl until he left. He had six more years to do until that day and he wasn't sure if she could handle that they'd agreed for him to stay behind with the camp for two years to train her up then he'd have to return to base and return every six months till his time was up.

"I want you Hope. I know you and Caleb are no longer and you may not be ready for the jump, but I am."

"I have uni October Scar."

"I know.' He sighed. "But after that you'll be here under me and I want this with you Hope. I know you want it to."

"I.."

"I want you Hope. I have since the first time we met, but you were taken. So, what do you say to giving us a go?"

"What about Jax?"

"What about him? I don't want to date him." He joked.

"He's your friend Scar, and my bother."

"I know." He sighed. "But, once we are official I promise I will tell him, but until the let me enjoy our time alone what do you say?"

"Okay."

He smiled pressing his lips back on hers kissing her passionately.
