Chapter 22

Scar and Hope had been training together all the time he had been there Caleb and Josh had watched them as they spared against one another it was almost comical that a 5' 5 girl could pin down a 6" giant and he just took it on the shoulder. The door bell rang Hope sprang to her feet and answered the door.

"Well, aren't you going to let us in?"

"Dom. Bulldog"

"Hey, sweetheart."

She jumped forward hugging both of them.

"Wowh easy tiger."

"Sorry.' She mumbled

"It's okay sweetheart."

"Come I, Scar is in the lunge."

They grinned walking in. He close the door following them through.

"What the hell is all of this"

Scar locked up grinning. "Guys."

"Why the hell are you on the floor, Scar?"

"I was beating his ass."

"You are letting this little girl beat your ass?"

"Hey! I'm not little."

"You are to us, honey."

"We were just training, she's coming on leaps and bounds."

"We can see that she's kicking your ass." They laughed.

"Are you guys finished?" Josh asked, walking on with Caleb following behind with glasses of juice. Placing them down looking at the two buck men in the lounge.

"Oh guys, this is my brother Josh and Caleb my boyfriend, Josh Caleb this is Dom and Bulld."

They all looked at one another. "So you're the infamous stepbrother?"

"I guess."

"You be on your best behaviour whilst we're here."

'I will be."

"Nice to meet you, Caleb."

"You to."

"Caleb goes to my bros gym."

They grinned evilly oh oh this wasn't good. "How's about we have one on one all four of us later on."

"Erm."

"Come on we don't bite do we Bulldog?"

He grinned. "No, we don't." He grinned

That was a damn right lie.

"Sure."

"Josh you in?"

"S..s..sure."

"He looked a little nervous Bulldog."

"I say he does. Chill out it's just a little fun then you can see how we trained your sister."

Just a little fun my ass these guys didn't know the meaning of fun.

Me and Scar watched them as they fought one another . Caleb was good and fast not sure who taught him, but I now understood how he fended Joshua against that asshole and his friends. Scar had a smirk on his face I reckon all of them planned it to give Josh a taste of his own medicine. What they weren't banking on Caleb and how good he was.

After they had their little fight we all sat down to eat and drink with bulldog and Dom telling us about what they had been doing for the past six months. They all stayed for the next few months so I could catch up on my training and for them to torment Josh more. Jaxon had come home and he was back for six months. We all spent the next few months together though they had their own homes to go to they spent most of their time here. We had a few months left at college till we left for two months until September for our second year at college and I had to say goodbye to Caleb and Josh heading off to camp, but this time I would be helping the trainers and not a part of the camp.

Back to College

Hope

It was our final year of college Jaxon, Scar, bulldog and Dom had left to head back to the barracks before they were deployed again, we all said our goodbyes a few days ago truth was I wasn't looking forward to going back. I knew I had my friends, Josh and Caleb, but I also knew River and his friends were going to be there to. I hadn't seen River since we finished in June and I for one was glad for that. I'd seen Sawyer, Skylar and Kyro they had all trained with us he was determined to join me at the camp once college was over before we began university.

We'd all met outside college hugging each other before we all went our separate ways. "Let me know it you you see River and I'll make sure he regrets it."

"I will bye, Caleb."

He walked away.

"Argh isn't that sweet."

I gulped knowing exactly who it was someone I was hoping to avoid. "River what the hell do you want?"

"Argh don't be like that, princess."

"Don't call me that!" I said, annoyed through gritted teeth.

"Why not? You were always my princess."

"What the hell do you want River?"

He made his way towards me slowly making me nervous, I hadn't felt this nervous since I had met him. I stepped back why did the wall have to be there?

He caged me between himself and the wall. "This isn't over Hope. You are mine and that little prick will know that he can't take you away from me."

"I'm not yours, River. I never was."

He edged closer. His breath fanning across my face. "You were always mine Hope, since the first day I laid eyes on you and you best not forget it." He said, kissing my cheek. Pulling away. 'I'll see you later princess.' He turned walking away.

I let out a breath that I was holding in. I had to show this as asshole he didn't scare me. I pulled off the wall going to my lecture.

I met up with Caleb and Josh for lunch trying to avoid every opportunity for River to find me. Unfortunately that didn't last when he and his friends walked into the cafeteria as if they owned the place, everyone looking at them. Caleb squeezed my hand. "It's alright angel."

But it would never be alright as long as he was here. Sawyer Skylar, Kyro soon joined us.

"Did you see who just walked in?"

"Unfortunately."

"It's okay Hope we're all here he won't dare say or do anything."

I nodded knowing that River he wouldn't give two shits who was about and I was right.

"How cosy."

"Fuck you!"

"What ever." He snapped at Caleb. Looking directly at me. "I was hoping that I'd bump into you again Hope."

Shit. He didn't.

"You what?!" Caleb boomed.

He did."Me and Hope had a very entertaining conversation, didn't we Hope?"

I gulped.

"It was very in lighting wasn't it Hope? I can't wait for our next." He said, smugly.

Caleb was off his chair and on his feet. 'You are never to come near Hope again understand?"

"Sorry I can't do that, you see she's mine."

The crack to his face echoed through the cafeteria as Caleb's fist connected with his face. "Stay the fuck away."

He laughed. Fuelling Caleb to punch him again everyone pulling him back before he slaughtered him. "Come on Caleb he's not worth it."

They all pulled him away , I followed them with my head hung low, why did he have to open his mouth?

"What didn't you tell me, Hope?"

I handled it."

"Clearly you didn't." He said angrily. "What the he'll did he say to you?"

"The same as he said to you. I was his and I'd always been since he first saw me."

"Shit, Hope."

"You should've told me, Hope."

"Sorry."

"I'm going to sort this out once and for all."

"No Caleb they'll kick you out."

"I don't care."

"But...."

"No arguing Hope this has to stop. And I'm going to be the one to do it."

I chose not to say anything else it was pointless his mind was made up already.

We all said our goodbyes going to our lectures. I met Josh outside college. Caleb was running late. "Have you seen Caleb?"

"No. I thought he'd got with you."

"Nope."

We loked at each other.

"He wouldn't would he?"

"He was pretty pissed, so your guess is as good as mine."

"We have to find him Josh, and stop this before it gets him in deep shit."

"He's coming."

I looked over Caleb was strolling slowly and coldly towards us with a grin planted on his face, was that blood?

'Hey, guys." He said, dropping his arm over my shoulders and kissing my cheek. "Let's get out of here."

"Is that blood?"

"I had a nosebleed."

"Does a nosebleed give you bloody knuckles?"

"Shit."

"What's going on Caleb?"

"Nothing let's get home."

"You fought him didn't you?"

"We'll talk about this later."

"No! now Caleb."

"He deserved it end of, come on."

He pulled me away angrily, Josh following us saying nothing this was far from over.
