Chapter 45: Eli and Jean

"Wait, by the way, why is Maxine's wedding just going to happen after she comes home here? Is there an issue?" I ask Sebastian as I realize when he mentions Maxine's wedding. "Isn't she announcing it like 2 years ago?" I added.

"Well technically it happened last year, but big sister wants the wedding to happen here, and if you don't know their time of going home is this year so sis adjusted her wedding I didn't expect her fiancee to agree to her decision so that's why. Hope I have answered your questions." Sebastian said and took a bite of his food.

"Are you seriously thinking about that Gel?" Jean asked me. "Yeah, it suddenly sank into my head so my mouth just blurted out that out of nowhere. " "Let's just eat and if you guys want, let's hit a bar after this," I added

They both agreed so after we ate at the restaurant we decided where the bar we went to so it's usually the bar we used to drink at, the six of us. Sebastian brought her car. Jean insisted on taking a ride on a motorcycle so all I could say was okay, after the agreement the three of us went to the club to drink.

We're just happy to see you again Max. Just minutes passed we arrived at the bar, Jean suddenly told, some jokes. "We got so much news right now, what if we saw Kiel here?" We got silent for a minute, what if? He's not hiding from anyone just what if we saw again? How will we going to react- "If we saw Big Bro how you're going to react?" Sebastian said, is he reading my mind? Well, that's the right question. "For now let's go inside." It's been so long since we came into this bar, the three of us.

Suddenly someone hugged me from behind, and Jean's eyes started to glare at someone. I looked back and saw Eli, "Fantasy to see you here, are you following me?" I asked as I removed her hands from my waist. "It's just coincidence, I'm here already before you even arrive here." She said, she looked at Jean and Jean looked at her. "Guys, it is not a staring contest. I don't think you need to know her Eli but Jean still didn't know you. Jean, this girl right here is Elizabeth Becker, she's the daughter of our new client." I said to Jean as I was introducing Eli to Jean. "Yeah, nice to see meet you," Jean said while gripping Eli's hand.

Sebastian put his hand to his other hand and made a sound, he suddenly talked. "Alright ladies, if you are already done, let's shot,"

Jean swayed her head and looked away, she stopped glaring at Eli. Eli is already with us so I invited her to drink with us.

"Btw young man, I still didn't know your name. May I know your name?" Eli said to Sebastian, that Sebastian was dealing with the bartender, he looked at Eli and smiled. "My name is Sebastian Alonzo, sorry for the late introduction. Nice to meet you beautiful ." He said with a smile on his face reaching for Eli's hand. "Alonzo? Are you related to Keisha?" she asked Seb, "Yes, she's my cousin." he smiled, and Eli responded to Seb. "I didn't know Keisha had a nice-looking cousin nice looking guy, as expected from her blood. You guys are all good-looking." She smiled and ordered her drinks.

"You know her?" suddenly Jean asked me. "Well, yes. She's our client it's natural to know her." I replied

"It's not normal, she also knows Keisha. Who she is?" Jean asked, she looked confused as to how I looked when I first found out who she was. "It is a long story, for now, let's enjoy it," I said to her and looked away.

Our conversation lasted for too long, we also didn't realize that we already drunk too much. So many conversations got up with Eli with us. It is nice to stay like this every day.

My environment went silent, I thought about the possible happen when Max and Kei came back. How should I act? It might be silly questions but well we loved each other so it's not normal anymore, a lot happened to me and Kei. I'm gonna lie if I say I didn't miss her, for almost one year she's been the only one in my head, she's also the reason why I can't be with Jean. It's not like I don't love her but I'm not seeing myself being with Jean. I'm so thankful she is there when I feel alone...

Someone is tapping my shoulder, I didn't realize I was already sleeping, I thought I was just thinking. "Do you want all ready to go home?" She asked me gently and I just nodded, I was not drunk but I was sleepy.

Sebastian suggests taking us home but I refuse 'cause of my motor. He also suggested taking the motor with us, good thing he can drive a motorcycle so Jean drives the car just to take me home. What came to my mind to invite you to drink AFTER THE WORK?!? am I insane? I laugh as I look at myself and think what kind of stupid I did.

Jean looked at me, "What's wrong with you? Are you really that drunk?" she laughed so I did, the two of us laughed as we waited for the red light. Even if I don't want to sleep my eyes are not listening to me and it keeps closing and closing. "Just wait, we're almost there in the house, keep your eyes open," I said to myself and I rubbed my eyes just to keep myself awake.

"Darling we are here," Jean said, she didn't park the car so that Seb doesn't need to bother more. After we went inside I thought we were already going to sleep but then Jean stopped me. "Can we talk?" Jean said to me with a serious tone.

"Sorry Jean but I'm tired I also need to wake up early tomorrow, let's talk at another time." I looked into her eyes and, she released my hand, I went into my room so I thought she was going also but then I heard my door open and close. She went home, I don't know why and what happened but I was so tired so I went to my bed, I hugged my pillow as my eyes started closing. I don't have any energy left in me to change clothes or wash my face, I'm so tired my body is drained so I just close my eyes and sleep. "Good night!"
