New day, new problems. Dale was groaning in his bed as his body was sore all over, his mind was also confused because there was a feeling of strength too alongside with the feeling of weakness.

Few moments later he slowly tried to get up and start his day. "Swoosh." Next moment he was standing straight. "Woah!! What was that? And who wrecked my place?" His place was in shambles cuts which looked like they were made from claws, were all over the place.

[It was you who wrecked this place, I will explain about it later, first check you status.] Said Alice prompting him to call his status. As he imagined it in his brain a transparent blue screen materialised in front of him hovering mid-air.

First seeing his stats he was stunned for a few moments, but calming down he asked, "Why the sudden increase in stats?" Dale was trying his best to hide his happiness, but was failing miserably.

[It is all because of the stunt you pulled yesterday which caused a sudden increase of mana in your mana flow and also the changes you went through, perception and constitution went that high only due to the changes your body went through.]

"So, what happened to the sleeping bag?" [You should check your status more carefully.]

He checked his status once again, this time with more concentration. And this time his eyes fell on the bloodline section which usually showed null. This time there was written Grey Wolf (23%) in that section.

"What is this?" [Consuming the whole wolf and its mana crystal your body was able to absorb a portion of its bloodline, along with it you got some of its natural abilities.] "Like?"

[Like super senses, night vision and ability to make your hands and feet clawed like that of the wolf, while yours can be retracted so it will not trouble you all the time. You will also smell wolf like to other beasts]

"Ok, I will go freshen up and meditate. And today instead of doing body training I will have to do strength control training due to this sudden increase in my strength." [Good idea.]

Taking a bath he started to meditate. This time he was able to feel his mana flow in just 2.5 hours, he tried to maintain his focus on it, which he was able to for 2mins40secs. And all of it was because of the risky stunt he did.

He always thought why no author thought of making its mc do it, it definitely went ok for him.

After this he continued his spear training, followed by strength control training in which he punched, kicked and used his spear at different level of strengths to get a hang of it. He also tried grabbing delicate sticks for minor strength control training.

He did this schedule for a week, and in one week he was able to follow his mana flow for 10 mins and sense it while meditating in 2 hours.

Strength control needed more time than rest, his emergency food was also only left for the rest of the month. In one week he again added 10 mins to mana flow following and reduced another half an hour from the time required in mana sensing.

His strength control was finally catching up smoothly, just the minor strength control was troubling him, due to which he had to take extra care near his cooking utensils.

After another week it was time for him to hunt some food resources. To hunt more efficiently he carved arrows from bones of the beasts he killed, he did it with the help of his spear and strength from his side.

He was able to make 30 of those, getting ready for his hunt he stored those arrows in his inventory. And went on his was towards the place he had to hunt.

This time he decided he will steer clear of the place at which he encountered those wolfs. He was in search of a bigger prey to hunt so his resources would last longer, so he ignored small beasts, even boars were ignored.

Little did he knew that in search of a big prey, he had ventured into a territory of a very strong beast. As he was roaming he noticed a mass of brown, going near it he poked it with his spear.

"ROAR!" Came a roar from that brown thing as it stood up to its full height. Of probably 10 ft. Dale surprised, retreated back quickly and gulped seeing the huge beast.

Still bringing his spear in front of him he waited for the bear like beast to attack him. Which it did, with a grunt it charged towards him. Not having much expectations he dodged to the side slicing towards the bear.

To both his and the bears surprise he was able to give a meaningful wound to its side, the beast grunted louder and charged at him again this time on all fours, and stopped in front of him.

With an attack it made the spear fly away from Dale's hands and slashed at him with his paw which dale dodged and made some distance in between them. This beast seemed smarter than any other beast he could have encountered, now without a weapon he tried to think of a way to fight.

As he was thinking he remembered about his claws and tried to imagine his nails turning claws. And that they did quickly.

This time he charged, and seeing him charging the bear stood up on his two back paws, waiting for him. As he reached it the beast swiped its claws towards him, evading them he swiped the beast's stomach giving it a huge gash.

Grunting the beasts tried to claw his chest, but it missed, hitting his shoulders instead, now it was Dales turn to be injured, as he was bleeding heavily he took a low grade potion to stop it, taking a few steps back.

They both circled each other looking for an opening, Dale gave feint which the beast took and charged at him, he took a few steps to side sneakily he swiped its side.

The bear was now angry seeing an ant troubling it, banging its chest with its front paws it charged again, this time he placed a footing on its knees, and jumped at the beast's throat and swiped across its wind pipe effectively bringing it down bleeding.

Seeing that it was still breathing, he found his spear and put the poor thing out of its misery and stored it in his inventory and went back to his place.

He rested for a bit checking his wounds while also playing with his retractable claws, as he was playing he got an idea to use his claws to skin the bear like beast going near the pond he took out the corpse.

First he fully served its head and then from the middle part of the throat he started cutting the skin in a straight line till abdomen. From there he circled its waist cutting the skin while keeping the end of the straight cut in contact with the circular cut at the waist.

Then he delicately started skinning it from the throat to the abdomen with the help of his claws, they were a real help in this task. After skinning the torso he removed all of its claws and the skin on its limbs came out smoothly like socks.

Now he made a small cut just below the abdomen and started taking out all the inner organs one by one. The ones which he could eat were kept to the side and the ones he could not he took them and threw them far away.

On returning he checked the organs he kept aside to eat, and took out the heart and it was big likely 5 kilos, but just enough for him.

Placing it to cook he focused on the head, taking out everything from inside of it from the neck side he searched for the crystal.

There it was covered in brain matter, taking it away from all that he stored it and the empty head in his inventory.

Few mins later his dinner was also ready which he ate and went to sleep.
