Ch 15: Returning Home with him

Karenina, who was still traumatised, glanced at the rose flower he was holding in his hand. Its petals were dark red like crimson hue , the stem was green and had sharp, spike-like thorns. And when she looked closely the thorns were piercing into his palm, fingers causing the blood to trickle out.

"I don't need it," she coldly replied and looking away from him she scoffed sarcastically," are you trying to threaten me? Do you want me to keep my mouth shut about what happened last night, father?"

Romeo's expressions darkened, crushing the rose in his hand he smiled wryly," Were you planning on announcing to the world about our cursed fate?"

She remained quiet which irritated him, he threw the withered rose under his expensive leather shoes and grabbed her jaws in his bleeding hand.

"Speak," he growled. "I am waiting for your answer. Is it not enough for you that I'm now a sinner?"

"Reject me."

"Say that shit again and I'll make sure your life becomes miserable like you are living in hell," he growled, tightening his grip on her jaws. Pouting her lips, his dreadful eyes gazed on her.

He couldn't help but feel consumed by her scent, she was maddening him. He leaned close and whispered,"Keep secret of whatever happened between us or what might happen in future! I want nobody to know about us. Am I being clear to you?"

Karenina nodded as she clenched her fists in rage. She then pushed him away and tried to walk out of his office when he suddenly asked," Have you packed your luggage? We have to leave in one hour!"

"I did."

"Okay, then come with me. I'll ask my assistant to bring our luggages," saying that Romeo grabbed her wrist and dragged her behind him.

They arrived at the front yard of the college where students were waving at their parents and leaving for the weekend. Among the crowd of students, Helene saw Karenina and was about to wave but stopped when she saw Romeo together with Karenina. However Karenina waved at her with a worried face because Helene was going to mate with Ivaan, the cheater.

'No, I can't let her ruin her life,' Karenina thought as she saw Helene leaving with her parents, soon disappearing from her sight.

She takes out her phone and sent the video of Ivaan fucking Catherine, the video Karenina recorded few days ago and wanted Helene to know about her mate's affairs with other she-wolves.

"Shall we leave now that you are done chatting with your friends?" Romeo indifferently asked.

And before she could say anything, a fleet of black Bugatti cars stopped in front of them. The students and their parents gasped in surprise. They never know anyone that rich in England who owns more than 10 Bugatti cars. Even other professors slapped their mouths in shock.

"My father would never send such grand cars for me!" Karenina mumbled, biting her lower lip in confusion. Whose parents could be so rich to send 15 Bugatti cars as escorts?

That very second, a group of finely dressed men in black mercenary 's uniforms, their faces covered with camflourage scarfs and they were carrying armed rifles and guns. Karenina furrowed her eyebrows, as to why private werewolf soldiers were here?

The group of mercenaries walked towards them and abruptly bowed in front of Romeo, "Greetings, former Alpha. We are glad that you asked for us."

Karenina's eyes widened, she stared at Romeo with unblinked eyes. She never thought about this sudden development. Even others were surprised but dared not to interrupt because professors were aware of Romeo's past title of Alpha.

Romeo smiled lightly at the mercenaries and said, "Don't address me that. I'm now High priest of Selene Grandeur temple and professor."

"We apologise," they proudly answered. "Are you planning on returning home or going somewhere?"

Romeo looked at Karenina and with a grin he agreed, "I'll return home but first I need to send my friend's daughter home."

" Alpha Dante Agriche's daughter?" The captain of the mercenary asked as he scanned Karenina from head to toe, as if he was examining a product.

" Yes, now let's talk about resting on our way, Loren," saying that Romeo opened the car's door for her and himself got seated inside.

It was a sports car so only two people could sit in one. She never expected Romeo would have a craze for speed drives and such cars. She always imagined him as a calm, classic and mysterious man. But now that he was slowly showing his real self, she was getting intrigued to know more.

About an hour later, they arrived at the airport where private planes were waiting for them. Everything seemed so alien to Karenina, just how rich Romeo even was? She wondered. And how come the mercenaries addressed him as a former Alpha…

'Was he Alpha at some point of his life? Then why is he a Priest? Did he lose the title or his pack got defeated and new Alpha kicked Romeo out?'

Many unanswered questions were floating in her mind, however she couldn't ask him any.

But one thing was sure, Romeo must have abandoned the title himself or manipulated to do so otherwise there's no way a dangerous Lycan like him would be defeated!

'His scent is literally full of blood and corpses's pungent smell. He must have massacred large numbers of packs and wolves.

In the plane, Karenina sat alone and Romeo sat in front talking with Loren, captain of the mercenary. She felt bored and weird about returning to her home, she hated that she would have to face her parents and listen to their nagging.

Hours later, they finally arrived at the Ace Moon pack's territory, New York City. The Mercedes cars entered the territory after Romeo showed Karenina and his identity. The security guards saluted Romeo and Karenina and opened the gates inside the city.

Coming closer, Romeo grabbed Karenina's waist, pulling her close to his face, causing his nose to collide with her. He breathed her and groaned in a deep voice,"Why are you releasing your pheromones?"
