Helene and Mariyam sighed in relief only to be freaked out by Karenina suddenly waking up. She was scared, breathing quickly and her eyes were wide open as if she was traumatised. 

Helene, who was not talking to Karenina because of what she said about Ivaan, asked in a worried voice,"K-Katty, are you good? Did anything happen between you and father Romeo?" 

At first Karenina refused to say anything, only her tears flowed out of her traumatised eyes. Helene and Mariyam rushed to her bed, and hugging her quickly said,"Katty, why are you crying? And why is your body shivering… are you scared?" 

"Please, tell us. We will report it to the principal," Mariyam added, panicking. It was their first time witnessing Karenina crying and so in pain. 

"H-He's a Lycan…" Karenina murmured, sobbing in terror. 

Helene and Mariyam shared a quick glance before saying,"What? Father Romeo is Lycan? You must be confused Katty because all the Lycans are living in imperial city. They don't interfere in werewolf cities or our packs!" 

"I'm not lying… I saw in his eyes. His past is horrifying and he's redemption is just a facade of hiding his sins." 

"Don't tell me he… he touched you! Did he?" Helene panicked and when Karenina nodded, her face turned pale. 

Mariyam got up with a shocked expression,"Now… Please don't tell me he marked you. Getting marked by Lycan means you can't reject the mate bond and may die during the mating process…" 

"I have heard Lycan's females can't endure their high sex drive and eventually die or take their own lives," Helene mumbled, scaring Karenina even more. 

"Is that why their population is low?"

"Yes, even the ratio of females is low among Lycans," Helene explained to Mariyam. "That's why they offer a huge dowry to the werewolf pack's Alphas for sending them a few she-wolves." 

Karenina listened to her friend's conversation and got even more scared. She was too reluctant to tell them that Romeo was her destined mate…
